Valley Guard Pest Control

I’ve been a loyal customer of this pest control company for several years, and I’m incredibly disappointed by how things ended. I recently discovered through postings on Yelp that they’ve closed—without any notice or communication. My last scheduled service was missed, and despite sending multiple emails and leaving voicemails, I received no response. It’s frustrating to be left in the dark after years of consistent service. A simple heads-up about the closure would have gone a long way in maintaining trust and professionalism. I hope others are able to find more reliable and communicative service providers.

We have been with this company for years with no issues but know when I try contacting them, no answer or call back. I have switched to a local pest control company that actually answers their phones.

I have had the best experience with these guys over the last few years but I have been trying to get ahold of them for the last few weeks and I’m getting no response. I wonder if they went out of business???

They have closed the business... no announcements to current customers. Have used them for years without issue. Sent several emails and left multiple messages with no response. Drove by their office and was locked up. I switched over to Palma Pest Solutions, also located in Simi. So far, so good 👍 my new service fee is even better than Valley Guard

They were great, but now have been MIA. I've been calling and emailing them since the end of June and no one has gotten back to me. Today I noticed that they had the audacity for charging like they came to service but they are nowhere to be found. Funny enough, some weird guy had been going around the area offering pest control services and when you ask for a business card, he says he doesn't have one. Not sure if this is all connected but shame on Valley Guard Pest Control for disappearing and charging accounts. Everyone, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and current customers CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS BECAUSE I THINK WE ARE NOW BEING SCAMMED.

Update: I've been calling for a Month now. No one answers the phone, just an automated message. I payed and have not received the service agreed upon. I see other reviews with the same issue. I have had an account for a couple years but the service has declined. They have been unreachable for 3 weeks. I’ve required service but they do not pickup phone calls, the don’t respond to the messages left. They don’t reply to emails, ridiculous. I recommend using someone else.

Have had Valley Guard for several years. Always have been prompt and thorough. The guys have been great. Suddenly they missed the June visit. I have called twice this week with prompt indicating can’t take my call but I left a voicemail. No response.

They WERE great, but they missed my bi-monthly service at the beginning of June. Tried calling - no answer; email - no answer; even went by their office, trucks still out back but nobody there...

They do not do one time service calls. You must sign up for regular service.

I like Valley Guard for pest control services. All the technicians are knowledgeable in the field and do a thorough job. They don’t hastily finish and leave. Whenever I call for a second service, they book it and the tech arrives timely and do a great job. So, thank you Valley Guard Technicians for your professionalsm work.

Donaldo he everything you supposed to do take care of the inside and outside of my house and my garage thanks.

Valley Guard hires the best techs to service their customers. Just Love Donaldo O. Can trust him with amazing service for our property. The most nicest technician and hard working young man that takes pride in his work. Love to have him as our permanent technician. A very good hard worker who takes pride in his work. Can say enough except that he’s trust worthy!

We've been using Valley Pest Control for several years - UP UNTIL TODAY. We HAD to cancel considering what's transpired over the past several months. First, we made multiple requests to CANCEL our service dating back to May 2023 (it's now late Aug. '23). We called their main office to CANCEL, and ALSO discussed this with at least 2 reps who showed up to spray our home - these requests were ignored. Second, we have small animals that we allow to roam our back yard. We've asked all Valley Guard reps NOT to spray and/or place pellets in certain parts of our home - these requests were not communicated across their team. TODAY, I came home to find one of my small animals covered / SPRAYED with chemicals (wet fur on its back). It may have been an accident or oversight, however, I'm concerned my animal has since ingested the chemicals through its fur and/or paws. I called into their main line and attempted to speak with Hector, the General Manager. I was consistently interrupted, gas-lit, and lied to: No, you didn't cancel, you put your account on HOLD for 3 months (FALSE - they started up our service again after we CANCELLED *without our verbal or written approval*). We didn't put pellets in the back yard, and didn't spray your animal (FALSE). No, we don't spray chemicals that kills bees...(also FALSE). Anytime they spray we then start to see DOZENs of dead bees covering our back patio area, within a few days to a week. This was NOT an issue when we cancelled for 3 months - our bees were thriving in our back yard. DO. NOT. USE. THEM.

I wish I could leave 10000 stars! Felipe did the most thorough service we have ever had in all these years. Every area was cleaned, including patio chairs which are usually forgotten. I am beyond grateful for your time and diligence on a job well done! I hope you are our technician every service!

Super happy with the detail oriented service at Valley Guard. Thanks for the spider abatement! From turning over outdoor chairs and tables to watching the eaves and entryways, then spraying the perimeter they really took care of it all. Thanks Valley Guard!

We contract with Valley Guard for quarterly pest control services. The technician, Joel, is great. Both friendly and professional. He always checks in with me first to see if there are any specific issues he should address.

I get bi monthly service with the company. Their tech Felipe is awesome with answering questions. The company and their tech Felipe are super professional.

Always on time, will come back if needed without charging if we need them in between our regular times ( big problemwith spiders in Simi ), their personnel have always been professional, respectful and pleasant to deal with. We've had their service for several years and recommend them highly.

We used this company after being referred to them. It’s been the most unprofessional and disjointed experience I’ve had as a consumer. Their office staff is rude and unprofessional, they don’t seem to have any kind of communication between their employees as we had them come out last week, then they called us 5 days later trying to schedule another appointment after they were here. When we questioned that, they responded that they didn’t know if the person the previous week completed all the work. How do you not know if you did the work we paid you for? Utterly unacceptable. Unprofessional and completely out of the loop. This company needs to figure out how to properly communicate with their customers and within their own organization.

High turnover, owner treats technicians poorly and under pays.

We were disappointed in Jacob their coordinator at first, but then he called and made it right. We are six year satisified customers. Thank you Jacob.

Greg did a great job. He informed us when he arrived, asked if there was anything we wanted to let him know about before he got started and told us he would inform us of anything he noticed before he left. He left us a complete report at the completion of his service call. We are always happy with the service we receive from all the technicians of Valley Guard Pest Control. Polite, efficient and customer focused.

Associate arrived as scheduled,introduced himself,asked if there was any issues that needed special attention, then explained what he would be doing today and did his job with great enthusiasm..Did a great job! A great asset to the company.
