The guy Mathew was super cool. Explained everything so that I could understand what he was gonna do. cleaned all under the eaves of the roof around the chairs there were no spiderwebs anywhere when he left. Deceptive and Dishonest- I was approached by salesmen as I got out of my car. Talked to me about pest control around my home. We already had a company that we had worked with for years (never a bug in sight with our old company). Decided to switch to this company because the monthly cost seemed decent but didn’t realize it was a contract. The salesman even gave me tips on how to cancel my other service. Akela came ONE TIME in July and haven’t seen them since. Now, I have spider webs everywhere outside my home with visible spiders just hanging out and a spider found in my daughter’s room. ANTS EVERYWHERE all of a sudden. Not to mention, I specifically asked about a problem that they “definitely have to solution for” not addressed as all. Checked my bank account and have been charged twice since the salesmen were here. So, I called to cancel as I’m very dissatisfied with the service only to be told I’d have to pay $250 to cover the fees from the first visit as it was “discounted”. So I got a discounted and overpriced service that didn’t work. I feel like I got conned into a contract with a company with poor/non existent service.

First off there was a technician that came to my house and did no service and charged me full price after he said not to worry that I will not be charged. He even lingered an hour outside my house in his car which made me feel uncomfortable. He said I will get a phone call for the service that needs to be done and I never got a phone call. Then the next day I have to make a phone call since my bank was charged the amount. I was furious because I had to call and resolve this issue. Then a couple of days after I called them I was told a different information that I do not have yellow jackets but I have honey bees just so I would be charged a whopping $450. This is so messed up. The technician lied to me and said I have yellow jackets in my back yard. I was misled by them. So disappointing.

At my previous pest control service, the provider stated that the service could not be performed inside the house because I would have to leave with my baby for 4 hours. I asked if I needed to call to schedule a service for inside, and he said that he would have the pest control service contact me. No one ever contacted me. My next service is now scheduled for 1/10. Just now I called to have someone come on a Saturday, but the only time slot I was given was 7-10am on 1/22. When asked if it was likely that someone would come at 7am, I was told yes since I was the only service booked for that day. I asked for another time frame on a different Saturday. The representative offered me a day in April. So you are telling me that every Saturday until April is booked for every time frame possible, except on the day you offered me...I am the only appointment? Right. I will be canceling my service with Akela pest control as soon as possible.

Really poor responsiveness. I have continually asked to be called prior to service. They refused to do this. This past time someone showed up and called me, I asked for him to wait until I was able to clean up and move my kids toys. Instead of waiting this man spray all over my personal items, flower garden, sprayed next to my kids and kittens putting both of them in harms way...my child has MCS and exposure to these types of chemicals can cause real harm. I am still shocked that someone can be SO CARELESS and in their own world. Absolutely horrendous.

Per your previous request we only use essential oils on your property which contain ingredients such as rosemary, peppermint and wintergreen. Make sure to read the fine print before signing with this company. Contract locks you in for one year. They don’t follow up with services discussed unless you stay on top of them. Regularly do not show up at time discussed....over priced, goes to show you don’t always get what you pay for.

Run run run to any other company or even your local Home store to purchase over the counter Pest Control you will have better luck. They will take your money and you will be left with your same pest problem and don’t bother trying to speak to the office they are rude condescending and probably have very little concern for customer service since they are faceless behind a telephone. While the technicians have generally been friendly the job has not been adequate and according to them you have to ask to have the inside of your house sprayed so if you’re not there they will just do the job without you There in an in adequate fashion. I do believe it should take longer than five minutes to spray a 10,000 foot house and a 2 acre property but not according to them. They will make you promises out of one side of their mouth but trust me nothing will come out of the other

Horrible service, would not recommend in the Riverside area. 2 guys came in 1 truck, barely sprayed. Had to go tell them they weren't done, when they tried to leave after they didn't spray around the key places they had noted to spray. Then one of the guys denied spraying a mosquito repellent candle and wanted to argue about it then became disgruntled about having to spray the places that they missed. With the amount of bugs and insects that are still here where they did spray, I'm not sure if they even used bug and insect killer and preventative. They we're supposed to come back and spray inside my home but after the issues persisting, I don't want those two creeps back at my residence. They can keep my money if that's what itll take to keep them away from my family. after dan called and had the 2 men come back out and respray, i had opened up a window where they "sprayed" and i found a colony of ants that had taken over my window sill. smh i couldnt believe it. my family and i need to call somebody better, there was no point in wasting my time lr money on these clowns. thank you for being a good man dan, but your going to have hire better workmen that value their job and take it seriously.

Wish I could give negative stars! They were supposed to come every other month and that never happened. I had an outbreak of meal moths during that time and paid a lot extra to take care of. I was told they would come out three times to properly exterminate them but only came the first time which wasn't enough and the problem continued. To top it all off they continued to attempt to charge me for their bimonthly package even though they never came back again and proceeded to send me to collections after the fact. Don't use them, do yourself a favor!!

This is worst company to deal with. The trap that they set caught a rat. They are not willing to come out to pick it up in a timely manner and promised. They claimed that whatever the sales person committed to is not valid as they only work during the summer. The sales person who came to our door even mentioned that he is owner son. I guessed that is all lies to try to get us to sign up. We will work with others to expose these lies and protect others to be victimized by this company. I was contacted by their owner John P, he sent some one to pick up the pest. I thought they had finally fulfilled their commitment.BUT later I found the body of the pest in my driveway. Please see attached pictures. I am not sure what is the message they trying to send to me by such actions.

Terrible company. I signed up with the guy that came door to door. I signed up for a year service with quarterly visits. After one of their visit I noticed bugs around so I called and asked them to spay again, which they offer for free with the annual plan. Again, after they came, I was noticing spiders and ear wigs all over the place. I called again and asked them to come spray, the lady on the phone was clearly frustrated. A few months went by and I I got an email that they had serviced my house on a day that I was home from work. I didn't see anyone, I didn't have a note on my door, nothing. I called to complain and they did nothing but tell me how much I owed. After months of battling them I finally caved, I called and paid my bill and told them to cancel my account. This all took place around February of 2016. TODAY 15 months later, May 23rd 2017, I get another email that they serviced my house on the 16th and I owe them $109. I called them to ask why they came to my house after I canceled my service. They said all they had in their notes was that I called in February and asked about canceling but didn't confirm. They threatened me with collections on the same day they sent me the invoice. What a joke these guys are. Do yourself a favor a contact a company with some better business practices. She didn't even try to work with me, straight to statements like you owe us this and we will forward this right to collections. Also FYI they are not accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
