Archie's Aloha Pest Management

I would stay away from these folks. The red flags were there from the beginning when Bobby missed the appointment to make an estimate for removing 2 bird's nests from our home. Then, after he went by the next day to look at the job, he gave us an estimate. After a week, it finally made it to the office and when they gave me the written estimate it was over $100 more than what Bobby had told me on the phone. But we made the appointment to get it done. The next day, the called and said the appointment had to be changed. OK, so we made another appointment. On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. I cancelled. They are unorganized and unprofessional in how the do business. I'm surprised they can remain in business with this kind of poor service in a small community. Beware!

Terrible communication and unprofessional service. Our building was fumigated by this company, and the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. While we were displaced for four days, it was almost impossible to get clear information from anyone. When I finally reached someone to ask when we could return home, I was told not until 1–2 p.m. — so I had to pay for another full day at a hotel. When I got back, there was a note on my door saying we actually could’ve returned at 9:30 a.m. That’s several hours earlier, meaning they cost me both time and money because of their incompetence and lack of communication. If you value your time, sanity, or wallet, I’d look elsewhere.

This company is so unorganized. We had set up monthly pest and rodent treatments in August, it’s now the end of October and we still haven’t seen them. Today was the second call I made to see what was going on, and the lady on the phone sounds like she doesn’t have a clue. Exactly how she sounded the last time, I called. She tried to tell me service was halted because they let go of the technician…somehow that’s my problem? Get a new technician and send him out. It’s been two months, figure it out! Needless to say, I cancelled our “monthly treatments.”

In 2020 This company did some work for my father Errol Bennett, an elderly man caring for my mom, who had severe dementia. He had an adjustable rate loan he was trying to refinance through a VA loan. The loan officers sent Archie's Aloha out to do building repairs they said were needed for the loan to be issued. The original estimate was for $10,000 to do termite work on the house. As they started the work, they then said it would cost up to $17,000, and then sneakily they bilked him for another $25,000 on top of that for repairs he actually didn't need and for crappy work (see picture) that fell apart within a year. What was supposed to be $10k in termite control turned into $41k of crap work. Unfortunately my elderly father was just too distracted and not competent enough to understand what was going on. The loan never went through, which left my father on the hook to pay these bogus bills. This was elder abuse, pure and simple. I had an attorney send letters informing Archie of the elder abuse, however, to fight this abuse would cost thousands of dollars my father didn't have. Aloha filed a mechanics lien against the house which made it impossible for my father to refinance. My father has twice went to talk with Archie about the flagrant abuse he suffered and asked him to remove the lien so he could refinance. The only answer he got was that he needed to speak with his lawyer. I am telling everyone: Beware! DO NOT WORK with this company. They are unethical, predatorial, and incompetent. This has been a financial nightmare for my father. You do not want to work with people of this ilk.

Had to deal with owner just in passing for something unrelated to business. About the most rude and ignorant person I've ever had the displeasure of sharing air with. Don't expect much from this business, it's run by fake "North county Hawaiians" who wouldn't know aloha if it bit them.

Archie is a crook. He cost me money and time, which was nothing but a waste. He inspected my house for a refi and when I didn't need any pest removal, he tried to extort me for $500 in repair work after he said I would have a clean report. I called about getting this work done but Archie never called me back! I ended up having another company who fumigated the house when I bought it a few years ago come out and reinspect just so I could get my loan cleared. All the other reviews that mention about his lying, no show reputation are true. Stay away from this guy. He is only looking for a quick buck and will cheat you to get it.

I have been calling aloha pest control for days. I was told that these guys would clean out this hole in my apartment themselves but no show. So I called today and spoke with a person. I was told that the guys would hear about my account. We will see how this gets them moving.

I strongly urge that you don’t use this business. They will not do a thorough job. They will string you along by doing minimal work so that they can continue to come out to your residence. Their construction repair is piecemeal and thrown together. Phone calls are not returned if you have questions or issues. For complete pest eradication and pleasant customer service, we have found other companies to be much better than Aloha.

This business negotiated a senior discount of 10% but after escrow makes full payment, Archie, the owner, indicates he will perform, but he just won't pay up and instead, invites a lawsuit, which will soon become necessary along with a report to the proper agencies.

Nice polite inspector shoite crew working for him... The inspector was here 3/1/2018 and did a respectable inspection, 4/2/2018 the repair crew was scheduled to arrive and do the noted repairs. Crew did not arrive until afternoon (scheduled again for early that morning) 4/3/2018 and did not bring all the necessary supplies to complete repairs. Crew attempted to convince us that "they would need to go back to town for supplies" and that they would be back the next morning (this occurred before 3pm after working for less than an hour on repairs) We instructed the crew that dragging the repairs out over two days was NOT acceptable and that if they were lacking the 2x6 boards required to finish the job that they should go get them and come back... 4/4/2018 approximately 9am... No contact from Archie's or his crew never saw his crew again after they left... On a side note a young boy approximately age 7 I would guess was hanging out in the work vehicle while the crew was present also the vehicle was placed in the driveway and left running while work was done which poured exhaust into the house and garage forcing us to close windows and doors to keep the exhaust out... In short thoroughly pissed at this mess and will NEVER use them again the 2nd star is only because the inspector was polite and competent Update 4/6/18 The owner came out and set things right ensuring that the work was done and apologized to us. Still a 2 star as this fiasco should never have happened.
