Very Disappointed After spending a year killing the Bermuda Grass in a small lawn, in the fall of 2023 I hired Inside Out Landscaping to landscape the area. The landscaping included covering the area in soil with two small dirt mounds and covering everything in bark. In the spring, I found that the mounds were sprouting a large crop of nutgrass that had clearly been in the soil that was brought in by Inside Out. When I notified them, the manager’s response was not our fault, not our problem. He offered to have a crew member come remove the weeds at $90 per hour. I dug out all I could see. In August I came home to find one mound covered with nut grass and some in the other mound. Again, I notified Inside Out and received the same response with the additional offer of paying almost $200 to have them spray the nut grass. The manager never came to view the area. I’ve never had this weed before and it is only in the soil provided by them. I will never use Inside Out again and do not recommend anyone else do so.

Hey LeRita, so sorry to hear about pesky Nutsedge invading your landscape! We purchase all of our topsoil from local, reputable suppliers. Unfortunately, Nutsedge seed is often dispersed by wind, making it incredibly difficult to control. For general weed management, we highly recommend routine maintenance - whether it be manual removal or herbicide application.
