I had an issue after the initial visit but these guys came back out and took care of my problem. Now the only bugs I see are dead ones. I have had 2 pest control companies before Magic City pest control to come out but they couldn’t get my earwig problem under control. Magic City Pest control got my earwig problem solved. They were going to charge me twice for initial service. A total of $270 for two visits. I am shocked. Either they thought I was a sucker, or the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I wanted to send in this review years ago when Magic City Pest Control was Prowess Pest Control. They changed their name to Magic City Pest which I did not know until recently. Prowess/Magic City Pest Control completely destroyed our newly poured driveway due to negligence and refused to pay for it. They were very unprofessional, and the manager/owner refused to talk to my contractor. Back in 2018, when we were using Prowess/Magic City Pest Control, we were undergoing a major renovation of our driveway to a circular driveway with a retaining wall. The city had us redo it to add a sidewalk as well, and it was a difficult project because we live on a hill. We told the Prowess/Magic City dispatcher that we were pouring the 1st part of the circular drive that day and for the technician to come up the 2nd part of the circular driveway that was already completed or reschedule; she said she let the technician know and he would park on the street. After the pour, the cement trucks were still there and caution orange cones were set up in front of the very wet cement. My contractor went to his vehicle to get a caution ribbon to hang between cones when the Prowess/Magic City Pest Control technician came speeding down the road and pulled between the cones and went up the obviously wet and dark gray driveway. My contractor could not stop the speeding pest control vehicle and had to watch in horror at his hard work being destroyed! The pest control technician must have been on his phone and not paying attention. He then got stuck in our wet driveway, spun his wheels until he got to the top and drove down the other side and left the scene! My contractor and neighbors witnessed this! The Prowess/Magic City Pest Control Office called me--NOT TO APOLOGIZE--but to say that it was not the speeding, negligent technician's fault, but that there was no caution tape! The Prowess/Magic City Pest Control technician had practically sped around a cement truck and run over the caution orange cones to drive up our clearly wet- cement driveway! The Prowess/ Magic City Pest Control manager/owner refused to acknowledge their fault and would not pay for the damages. They were highly unprofessional. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!! AND, IF YOU DO USE THIS COMPANY, I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM!!!!

Tori, I still remember the emotion in the voice of the technician the day he called me when this took place. He was confused, stunned and worried. He immediately called me, the owner of Prowess and now an owner at Magic City. We immediately got on a video call and he took multiple photos and videos of the driveway, the wet cement, and the truck. Fortunately, for us, wet cement paints a very real and truthful story that can't be denied or altered. We have pictures and video that show newly poured cement but there was no barricade, blockage, or tape to keep someone from entering or using the driveway. The contractors were not present, there were no neighbors that came forward and we immediately contacted you and provided you with what took place and confirmed everything with photos and video. In the digital age we live in, we still have all the photos and videos, and are happy to resend them to you. In fact after looking at your old account info we have, on 9/26/16 you requested we only send out the tech that came to your house because of how much you liked him. I can assure you, if the contractor had put up any signage, warning, or barrier this whole thing would have been avoided. The technician was not speeding or on his phone. I spoke with you and the contractor and the evidence could not be refuted in 2018 and we still stand by it now in 2025. Again, if you would like another copy of the photos and video please let us know and we are happy to provide them. We try very hard to do our job, providing high quality pest control, we can't always do the job of others as well. -Joseph

We have been with this company for a few years. Until today, they have been pretty good. Today The technician broke our oven and glass went everywhere. He helped clean up and was very apologetic. However, I was very disappointed with the response from the company office when I called. I asked that they clean up and replace what they broke immediately, as we use our oven regularly (especially during the Christmas season). Also, it was difficult to cleanup all the glass and we have small children. I was informed that he owner was out of town and no one there could authorize replacement (keep in mind no one authorized shattering the glass). I asked what do we need to do to expedite the process and was told I could call back in a few days when he was back. There seemed to be no sense of urgency at all. Do you really want to do business with a company that breaks your expensive appliances and says they “they aren’t sure if they will replace it. Please call back in a few days.” I think that’s bad business by anyone’s standards.

I definitely wouldn't recommend this company. I first paid them $200 to come out for pest control. The first person to come out was a very nice man but I paid $200 for him to spray in a couple places in one room. I left a review right away magic city pests reached out and said they would send someone put to respray which they did amd they would give to free treatments after that. The next man to come out drenched my floors. All over my entire house was sprayed it was dripping down my t.vs and everything. There was so much sprayed i had to mop it up cause there was little puddles of it everywhere. It was definitely pay back for complaining then before the guy left he asked me about the review and stood there waiting while I deleted it knowing exactly what he had just done and made sure i did it before i realized what he did. I waited a couple weeks and them spraying did nothing to help. I hired spectrum pest management and they came in and helped so much and they didn't leave my floors drenched. I left a review about this and some how it was deleted. But now after being ripped off $200 by this company I keep getting texts asking if I want to hire them again. I definitely wouldn't hire the company there are better ones out there.

German roach treatments typically require more than a couple of services for effectiveness. I see we treated your home two times. It is standard practice to provide an initial service at a higher cost. I wouldn’t recommend this company to dog fight. They always showed up to my house while I was at work. I watched them on camera spray walk around back and spray the by the bushes and leave. It was a good 3 seconds job! I tried to cancel my contract after seeing their service. I remain to have ants in my house. A waste of money!

This company is THE WORST!!! They are contracted with my apartment complex. I have fleas and contacted them to have my unit fumigated. They came on the scheduled day that they fumigate the complex. They fumigated the unit partially because my dog was present while I was at work. THEY FAILED TO TELL ME HE COULDN’T BE THERE. Then when I call to have them come again and fumigate the whole apartment, I was told they would be back in a week on their regularly scheduled day at this complex. It is unacceptable to expect me to wait a week while the flea infestation can get worse. I called again this morning to insist that they come out and do an additional treatment and that I would pay whatever fee. I was told that they would arrive between 3 and 6 PM. I am writing this review at 6:34 PM and nobody ever showed up. When you call their number, you get a message that says that they’re closed. This is the worst company to deal with, and they do not care about their customers or providing good service.

Wish we could love Magic City Pest. We used quarterly pest control services for about a year. Every time someone came, they didn’t have a tall ladder to capture the wasp nest (which was the only reason we used services and the owner was aware). We mentioned it to the owner & someone came out prepared. Other times…same issue. After leaving 2 voicemails asking for a return call, the only call I received was why we were cancelling services. Wish I could leave a better review.
