Bearfoot came to my door when I was not home and told a family member it was time to service my home. I did not have a contract with them. They sprayed the outside and I came home and stopped the guy. Now I am forced to pay for a service we did not request. I had stopped using them 8 months before because their products were not effective and very expensive. Customers beware of they will take advantage of you.

This place appears to be closed. The building is empty, decals removed from the door. Do not go to their Kingsland location as they do not accurately maintain their business listing for that site and no telling if it's open either. It shows open until 4pm Saturday and drove over there to find them closed.

Had an amazing experience with ACI. Our home is in Tow and they made the trip even though it was around an hour drive one way. Their treatment gave us peace of mind when in the lawn and on the deck. We started having tons of bugs and insects turning up dead! Very happy with the service and when we requested the tech to not spray in the home he was understanding and respected our decision :)

We had a missed communication on the first meeting, but since then all has gone well. Just had our first bi monthly treatment, tech was very professional and thorough. Office staff friendly and helpful.

Hi Rick, I’m so sorry to hear you feel you had a bad experience. It's our goal at ACI to get back to a customer no longer than one business day after receiving any messages or emails and after speaking with our dispatcher at the Marble Falls location (she remembered you) she showed me a note in her book on 8/9/24 that you left a VM. She also notated she called back after her lunch break at 1:30pm. She left you a message at that time. She explained to me that when you had your original conversation with her about the inspection and possible service, that she mentioned that we had to have a CC to hold the date in order to schedule. You told her at that time that you would chat with your wife and would get back to her. Since you never called back and never gave a CC to hold an appointment for service/inspection, there was nothing scheduled. She cc'd me on the email she sent you that summarized your conversation with her on 8/12/24 (the Monday after you left your VM asking about a tech not showing up). Per that conversation, she explained the pricing for bi-monthly services again, stated that yes, webbing would be done (please note, this is only done when accessible, no upper stories) and that we would need to come do an inspection before we could give you pricing for termite bait stations. You proceeded to tell her that you would speak with your wife and call us back. Melissa would be happy to help get you scheduled should you decide to move forward. UPDATE 4/8/2024 - After over a year, the grass still will not grow where ACI damaged my lawn. UPDATE 8/9/23 - I dropped my rating to one star. ACI has come out a few times; and while I appreciate them trying, I still have significant problems with my lawn. I literally have places of bare soil where nothing will grow. Even the carpet grass runners that grow into the areas where the damage is will not put roots into the soil. It's like a nuclear wasteland. On the side of my house where I once had thick perfect carpet grass is now a mixture of weeds and crabgrass. At this point, I assume I will have to resod my lawn next spring. I have attached a couple of recent photos but this doesn't do justice to how extensive the damage is. UPDATE 5/11/23 - They had an expert come with the ACI person that did the previous treatments come out and the determination is that the lawn was stressed when a weed treatment was done previously. They are doing some treatments (at no cost)to help the lawn recover. While I am pleased that they are finally taking responsibility, the fact that there are well defined streaks of dead and damaged lawn tells me that the previous application(s) were not done evenly. Meaning, the spray and/or granular treatment must have been concentrated in the streaks. UPDATE 5/7/23 - I was contacted by the owner and they agreed to bring a lawn expert out this week to determine what should be done and to apply a treatment (at no cost) if needed. I will update this again and potentially change the star rating from the original 2-Stars if appropriate. I have attached additional photos of the worst areas. Their treatment(s) destroyed my lawn. I used ACI for a few years. This past year they did something that severly damaged my lawn. They attempted to blame this on fungus, but throughout my lawn you can clearly see streaks of treatment (basically walking paths). Ultimately, with my pressing, they said that maybe there was an existing fungus and their treatment caused the damage. But, they were still blaming it on fungus. It's odd that my adjoining neighbors do not have any issues and the burnt streaks in my lawn follow clear lines and end at my property lines. My neighbor across the street that also used ACI this past year has the exact some problem although not as severe as mine. All other neighbors who don't do any treatments with anyone have thick green lawns. If ACI would have just said, "oops, we did something wrong..." I would have been OK with them. Everyone makes mistakes. But, trying to blame clear streaks on the lawn on fungus and not taking responsibility for what they did results in this review. They are very nice and great to work with. But at the end of the day, I was paying them to keep my lawn healthy - not to destroy it. I give them 1 start for this year and 3-4 starts for the previous years.

UPDATE 4/8/2024: We have had multiple professionals look at the lawn and all have determined it was due to a fungus called "Take All Patch". We did not damage your lawn, it was damaged due to the fungus. We had identified this problem upon your first complaint and suggested a fungus treatment of which you refused to do. A month later you finally agreed to do the treatment, which we discounted by 50%. We then returned more than three additional times, all at no charge, and applied products to help the lawn. St Augustine is prone to problems, many of which are out of our control (shade vs sun, watering schedules, heat, drought, mowing, quality of mowing equipment, etc). Fungus can be spread by a lawn mower as it sticks to the wheels and then is carried and deposited around the yard. The spread is most likely due to the use of your mower before you agreed to do the treatment. We have done nothing but try to help by giving you free services and suggestions on how to get the lawn back in shape. It's just now coming out of dormancy and it will take time to come back. We wish you had agreed to doing the fungus treatment when we first suggested it. Maybe the issue wouldn't have gotten as bad. Please re-read over the suggestions we gave such as tilling the ground, applying top soil or peat moss to help the soil recover from your fungus. We do want to thank you because due to this situation, we will now be requiring all St Augustine grass owners to sign a waiver stating the problems related to St Augustine and the limited options we have to help treat it. Fungus is not our fault nor is it our responsibility. It's part of what comes with choosing that kind of grass.<br><br>James, it is with our deepest regrets that you have reached out this way. We definitely understand that something went wrong and had hoped to have more time to figure out a solution. We would still like the opportunity to take care of this for you. When you alerted us to the lines or streaks showing up after the treatment was done, we reached out to our Turf Experts at Site One because this particular issue has never happened in the past. We rely on Site One for help when we are unsure of what may be happening with unique situations such as yours. They advised us to do a fungus treatment and we were hopeful it would solve the issue. They indicated a second fungus treatment might be needed which has not been done since you haven’t allowed us to do. We certainly were not trying to just blame it on a fungus. This was the diagnosis given via the company that provide the product used. We were also willing to apply some carbon Pro G at no additional charge in order to help resolve the issue. Skip stated that he felt it was improving after the first fungus treatment. The photos posted are the original images taken so seeing the current situation would be hugely beneficial for us to evaluate everything. We have offered to come investigate further and are willing to do what we can to fix it. We need your permission to do so but you’ve told our office staff you don’t us to do anything else.
