I cannot recommend Mike’s pest control any higher. I called them after I found out we had an infestation and by the time we found out, it was a little too late. They were here reasonably quick made a quick appointment after two treatments. Everything was turned around. I bring them back on a quarterly basis to reinspect and check for traps and things like that. That whole visit last about 20 minutes if that they’re very efficient and thorough and professional even though I want them to stop calling me yes sir they won’t do it which is a good thing.. And sometimes they do just a little bit of extra to make sure that they’re getting you and taking care of you good they probably shouldn’t but guess what they do because it’s not a big expense for them to do small things to help out good customers and for that reason, I’ll never use another pest control company. We had one little mixup where it was a miscommunication on one of my quarterly trips, but it really wasn’t that big of a deal and the manager I talked to and I can’t remember her name was so sweet caring apologize left and right and I wasn’t even mad. I was just kind of curious on how that thing happened but everybody makes mistakes and they fixed it and no big deal. I highly recommend this trusted company for all of your pest control needs

I have been a property manager and Realtor in Galveston for 16 years. After recommending 15 people to this company I am shocked with what has recently occurred by this new manager and have come to change my review. This company has been entering times without permission and charging previous owners credit cards for services they no longer are getting. This has been proven to them and when asked to stop, they have not. When they was brought to the mangers attention verbally and in writing she laughed historically and would not allow me to speak to the owner. She has now banned all the properties I’m managed and also banned my personal home from service. I don’t know what to do other than write this review in warning and also will be posting this with the Better Business Bureau and on Facebook warning others to please stop using this company until the owner contact me to make sure he and his company don’t get in trouble because this is honestly That and it’s really scary that he’s allowing this person to manage his company. I can’t say enough about the service providers that are absolutely excellent gentleman that my husband and I literally trust enough to get the code to our home. They’re the ones who have called and warned me that they are going to these homes that they know our vacation rentals and that they don’t think needs service because they were just at the homes with me servicing them and they also know that they have changed ownership because of the conversations they personally have had with me. If it weren’t for those service providers I wouldn’t have even known they were going into the homes that are occupied by guest with those guest belongings in them. This is a serious issue and I worn others to not use this company until they get new management that actually cares about the owners And the safety of the Owner’s properties. We live in a community that is has a high percentage of vacation rentals. This is a serious problem that they would not fix after countless calls and emails. Edit- in response to your response regarding my review, I would love to post the emails you did not respond to. We cannot to make an apt for our own home and the manager refused to speak to us as we wanted to give you another chance so you are NOT being truthful. We now own 3 boxes for mouse control we have to throw away because they cannot be serviced by others, as well as other clients do as we have let others know. We have the emails and phone calls, as well as documents showing you charged owners who no longer even own homes. I suggest you refund our family for the boxes and services or we will see you in small claims court with all of those documents. This so all NOT true and you are aware of that. You trespassed into someone home once it changed ownership and the manager launched about it. This can be proven in a court of law. We expect a call back to us and a refund for our boxes that can no longer be used. The report will also be filed with the BBB. My husband tried to speak with you last week and I have called countless times since November. I will post the photos later today.

Our scheduling system does generate appointments automatically for ongoing services, and as part of our standard process, we always call 30 minutes prior to any visit. If we’re unable to reach you by phone, it does make communication more difficult—especially when we’ve consistently been provided with access codes in advance and have never entered a property without prior authorization.<br>We also want to emphasize that our service providers take their responsibilities very seriously and always act with the utmost professionalism and respect for our clients’ homes and privacy.<br><br>If you would like to have a constructive conversation about your concerns, we’d be happy to speak with you directly. Poor customer service, hired them to take care of a service that it didn’t work. Called them and got transferred to the manager she was being really rude! Won’t recommend this company! I won’t be paying for a service that it didn’t work.

WILL BE TAKING TO COURT FOR DAMAGES - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I utilized Mike’s Pest Control for my business; they were on routine Lawn and Property spray (Quarterly). I just installed security cameras in the property and recorded the technician HOSING DOWN my garage area with the lawn spray - this got on all my work equipment! I have a particular piece of equipment that’s $1700 that animals bite that got that chemical all over it. I was able to smell the chemicals on it when I got home. Casey the Operations Manager stated she would not replace the suite but she would come, pick it up and wash it for me. I had no issues with that. Shortly after she said she would pay me $50 to go to an industrial washer and was no longer coming to pick it up. I’m a sole operator of my business and work EVERYDAY - time is extremely precious and I do not have it when it comes to someone else’s complete negligence. The accountability, customer service and value for other people’s property is non-existent. This company should be absolutely ashamed of themselves! ZERO STARS

We would like to first apologize again for the original mistake. We take great pride in providing the best possible service and never like to hear when that has not happened. We totally understand how valuable your time is being small business owners ourselves and do not take that lightly. We offered the reimbursement thinking that would be the quickest resolution to the problem. We never meant to make it seem that we do not value your time. We are willing to help out within reason and hope you will give us an opportunity to make this right. We are willing to work with you to look for a solution that provides the best outcome.
I’ve used Mike’s Pest Control for the last 3 years. They spray my front and back yard each spring for fleas, ticks, fire ants, etc.. They sprayed on March 22nd. Today is April 20th, less than a month ago. I’ve explained that I do a lot of work in my yard and I definitely want it free from fire ants. Today I got stung by a mound of ants. I’d been told that the treatment would last for at least 3 months, so I called to have them come out again. They want to charge me all over again! What? Don’t use this business … you’re just throwing your money away. They won’t stand by their word.
Buyer Beware. I'm on contract with Mikes Pest Control. Been using their service for 3 years, however lately their service is lacking. I was informed that treatment has a 90 day warranty when in reality there is no warranty. They won't come back out and correct a job when done poorly. I have had ant infestation since March and they claimed to treat it in May but it has done nothing to curb the ants. I call and get them to retreat and state they don't have any appointments until months later, by then its time for my quaterly treatment anyway. Very underhanded and corrupt. They lie about their warranty and claim they made a service call treating the outside even though the same ants and same mounds are still there. They were once good and ethical, now they take money and don't backup their work. Update: Manager stated that quarterly contract work only is for the edges of your home, they don't do anything in the yard. If you have ant mounds in your yard they charge $150.00 on top of the quaterly service fee of $90.00. If you have questions or don't hear well the manager gets upset and frustrated and stats "she doesn't want to repeat herself". Customer service is lacking as well as professionalism. Never had a manager call me back just to mad at me and get upset with my disability in hearing. I'm shocked.
I used Mike's in Nov. 2019 and called them out again June 2020. They did a complete treatment, but 3 weeks later we spotted a roach. I called and asked them to come back out to retreat, but the lady said it would be an additional $39 since we are not on contract and they will only SPOT TREAT where we saw the roach. My teenager who is up late saw roaches in the shower and kitchen last night. I am not going to spend an additional $39 for a job that did not get done properly the first time. Mike's should be jumping to try and come out and get the job done!

Called to have relatively standard quarterly pest control setup for my house. I had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment which was fine, but I would not be home during that time only my wife would. I asked that they quote a rodent exclusion and termite plan. Instead of quoting the rodent exclusion the left bait boxes and charged us for them. I did not want bait boxes because one I have dogs and I really do not want a rat/mouse eating that stuff then crawling into my wall and dyeing. They left no written price for the rodent exclusion instead verbally told my wife it would be at least 100 dollars and to go on amazon and basically do it ourselves. While yes we knew we could do this the point was that I did not have time to do it. They did manage to do the quarterly service which seems to have done the job for the normal pests as requested. I will not use them again because I do not have time to ask a company I am paying to do what I want done multiple times and then perform services I did not ask for and charge me. They took advantage of my wife being here with two kids and performed extra work that was not requested when I called in to have the service.

Please note the positive reviews were from years ago! I am very disappointed on how far in quality the company has dropped over a short period of time. Within days of spraying I am getting more pests in my condo and they will not come respray due to not having emptied the pantries. I called beforehand to ask what needed to be done and was told to clean and make sure there was nothing against the baseboards. Not once did they mention the cabinet or pantry until the sprayer arrived which was too late for me to empty. In addition, I received a small discount ($20) because I was surprised by the price. The manager Casey told me as a negotiation tactic for me to receive another service that the discount came out of the technician's pay. The do not even care about their employees. She is rude and a poor manager. Please beware of this company. They do not care about you, your service, or their technicians. I am sorry to hear about how far this company has fallen. It used to be the best service and now they don't care about the customer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I had them spray our home for gnats 3 times, wasted several hundred dollars, and the problem still exists. Their supervisor blamed it on "heavy landscaping". Use a national pest control company instead - don't waste your money.
