Buying land out in the country was supposed to be relaxing but the sheer volume of insects made it super stressful initially. Our new Royse City property was completely overwhelmed by carpenter ants and tall grass filled with ticks. We clearly needed heavy duty intervention so we booked their comprehensive yard and pest bundle. The field experts showed up ready to tackle the massive overgrown lot with total dedication. They worked tirelessly for hours ensuring every single square foot of the affected zones received proper treatment. I was slightly nervous about the environmental impact but they assured me everything utilized was EPA approved. Knowing the products were pet friendly was a massive relief since our dogs roam the property freely. The overall results were visible almost immediately. The ant colonies collapsed within days and the tick population vanished entirely from the yard. We can finally hike around our own land without constantly checking our ankles for bites. Their commitment to actually resolving the core issue sets them miles apart from lazy exterminators who just spray and run. They are methodical and highly effective. I am incredibly grateful for their hard work and vast agricultural expertise. This is the ultimate brand for serious outdoor pest control.

Honestly for how much we have to pay, I had yet to have one day with no ants in my house. I wish I wasn’t under contract with them because it hasn’t been a good experience. Find a different pest control company. It will save you the headache.

They dispatched a team of experts early the next morning to thoroughly evaluate the house. The technicians were remarkably empathetic and designed a customized extraction plan that heavily prioritized the safety of my toddlers. They promised the kitchen methods would be entirely child safe once the products settled. The exclusion work they performed was the most meticulous service I have ever witnessed. They pulled heavy appliances away from the walls and discovered tiny structural gaps hidden behind the plumbing. They sealed those vulnerabilities permanently using chew proof materials. They also secured heavy duty tamper proof bait stations out in the garage where my kids could never reach them. At first I provided a 5 star review, but only because it was asked. I needed pest control quickly and went with the company with the best reviews. This review isn’t an indictment on the technicians but the pricing. I didn’t shop prices (big mistake), however $300 + tax, is way too much just to have a guy come to your house and talk about the services they offer and then schedule those services several days later. Blue Penguin has a much better price and service. I feel ripped off…but I’ll chalk this one up, I should’ve shopped around. I’m officially taking back my 5 star review Wing 8 you cost too much!

They came out and sprayed for ants. Not more than a week, the ants were back. I called to speak with someone only to be stuck with their creepy AI that would not let me speak to a representative or a human until I answered several questions. After all the questions were answered, I was placed on hold and told that all representatives were busy at this time to call again later. Used raid to get rid of the ants myself, just sucks for what they charged I have to run the AI gauntlet to speak to a human if they have the time.

Update: I’ve been using Wing 8 for quite some time now and the service has been great. My new tech Al Ward came today along with a max the owner and he’s a great guy. Detail oriented and very easy to speak with. James with Wing 8 pest control came to our new place and made sure we were taken care of since my wife hates bugs and we just moved to the country lol. I chose Wing 8 as the reviews were great and after meeting Max, the owner, and seeing how excited he was to speak about his job I knew I found the right company. In fact his tech James has been working on pest control for over 24 years alone! That’s all you need to know to make an appointment.
