Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control - Addison TX

Jarris was my technician and his skillset was unmatched, as his ability to communicate and educate on potential services needed. I would give him 55 stars if avaliable, as he was absolutely fantastic during my home inspection. Jarris level of intellect and appreciation for his craft is next level and I refer him to all families in the DFW.

I am filing this complaint to warn other consumers about my experience with Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control. I have used Barefoot for annual termite inspections without issue. During one visit, mosquito control was offered, and a separate appointment was scheduled. The technician completed the treatment and then handed me a small iPad to acknowledge the service had been performed. At no time did he explain that I was entering into a 12-month contract, agreeing to recurring monthly charges, or accepting an 80% early termination fee. I believed I was simply acknowledging receipt of the service. Before the treatment, I explained that my property is surrounded by mature trees and dense landscaping. The technician assured me, "If any mosquito enters your yard, it will die." Unfortunately, there has been no noticeable reduction in mosquitoes. We still have to burn mosquito coils just to enjoy our backyard. When I called to cancel after the first treatment because it did not work as promised, I was told my account would be placed "on hold," but I would still be required to pay $107.17 per month for the remainder of the agreement or pay an early termination fee equal to 80% of the remaining balance. This was the first time I learned I had supposedly agreed to a one-year contract. Only then was the agreement emailed to me. I gave Barefoot the opportunity to resolve this fairly before filing this complaint. Instead, they chose to enforce a contract that was never verbally disclosed. I am requesting that Barefoot cancel this agreement without penalty and stop all future charges. My goal is to encourage other consumers to ask questions before signing or initialing anything on an electronic device.

Barefoot has made the past 2 years a pleasure to be in my yard. No bug bites! Yesterday Chris Contreras went above & beyond. He carefully avoided bothering a little dove's nest with 2 babies. He is also very thorough getting every leaf treated. Thank you, Chris, the babies are fine & about to fly away. Kayla, in the office, thank you for helping me. You are such a nice lady. Every company needs someone like you.

We used Stampede for several years and consistently had great technicians who were professional and attentive (they even wore shoe covers inside the house). Unfortunately, things changed after the company came under new ownership as Barefoot. Since then, appointment times have been changed without notice, and the overall quality of service has declined significantly. We also believe the treatment formulas may have changed. During the last few visits, the odor inside our home was extremely strong and unpleasant, causing headaches from the fumes - something we had never experienced with previous services. The final incident occurred when Barefoot canceled our scheduled appointment (we have a text confirming cancellation), then showed up at a random time when no one was home. They proceeded to spray only the front for a few minutes and skipped the rest of the house, all without our consent, which was confirmed by our security cameras. Despite only partially servicing the property without our knowledge, they charged us the full price. When we contacted Barefoot, they acknowledged that the original appointment had been canceled. They initially stated they would return to complete the service, but by that point we had lost confidence in their reliability and simply wanted to cancel the service entirely and have the charge reversed. After considerable back and forth on the phone, they eventually agreed to those terms. Three months later, we discovered that the charge had been sent to collections despite our prior discussions with them. Based on our experience, Barefoot is completely unreliable, have poor business practices and communication. If you look on BBB profile of this business, you will see there a number of complaints citing poor communication, charging for services without consent, etc. Save yourself the headache and avoid.

Quite disappointed. I was a client for several years, but since the company was acquired by Barefoot, the quality has degraded tremendously. Recently, they simply did not show up to an important appointment and did not even excuse themselves until the next day, without a major reason, simply because they did not come. I strongly recommend you to find another company.

The technician always ask if anything has changed. Gets along with the dog! Always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I’m satisfied. Thanks. This last year they have changed techs., now they don’t call ahead, don’t ring the doorbell, don’t talk and they say they completed their task but there is no signs of them being there. This last service they say they were there but my cameras didn’t pick up any motion! They say they sprayed a water base chemical but there was no signs of that. In the last year fire ants, scorpions, bees, large black bugs, and mice! I called them back out for the fire ants and the tech asked me where are they? So I had to walk around and show him where the ants were. I guess they are getting comfortable.

Eric is awesome, comes in does what needs to be done. Always ask if there’s anything else such a hardworker!

Aaron was very professional and friendly. He was flexible with his schedule and also offered a couple of solutions for us which demonstrated his expertise. We are very happy with the service!

The first year using them was fine! I had one specific person coming into my house and I had no pests. Second year, this person does no longer work in the company and every month I have a different new employee coming into my home which I’m not comfortable with. But this is not the main issue here. Whatever they spray with damaged most of my baseboards, leaving a yellow stain. And the (new?) chemical kill nothing. I have spiders, earwings and today I found a scorpion inside my house. A month ago I had a snake in my garage. Even though I understand what they spray is not a snake repellent, all that bug activity attracts more and more creatures! I’m really pissed off with this situation and hired a different company along with a lot of my neighbors who have same issues

My experience when calling the office is always a great way to start to my day because normally Wendy answers. When speaking with Wendy I feel like I’m talking to a good person a friend, she’s always very friendly,cheerful and knows exactly what the answer is to whatever question I have and can help with any situation that I might be having. I know the company wouldn’t be the same without this amazing woman.

We have used Evolve for 2 or 3 years now. They always go above and beyond in their customer service. That’s why I appreciate and do business with Evolve Pest Control. I also use their mosquito service and rarely see a mosquito.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Chandler- who was truly a breath of fresh air! Right from the start, his friendly demeanor made a great impression. He greeted me with a warm smile and was genuinely interested in making sure I felt comfortable with the services provided. Chandler explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I was completely at ease with each step of the process. It was such a positive experience that I would heartily recommend Evolve to anyone looking for trustworthy and friendly service.

I always get a reminder of service and then a time frame on the day of service. Reps are always courteous and polite.

Colton with Evolve Pest Control is always on time, calls ahead before arrival, asks how our current status with everything is, very polite, professional, gives details on the process of treating our home and yard, he does a great job and we appreciate the consistency!
