Met with Anthony and his son to evaluate our lawn due to recent condition of the lawn which was healthy for years but has changed. They were thorough and explained their treatment recommendations to our satisfaction. We received our first treatment and are starting to see an initial change. They are professional, friendly and reasonably priced. We recommend them. Irene and Gary.

Original review: If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I had a disappointing experience with GreenX Lawn Care. Despite my clear preference to focus solely on mowing, the owner (Anthony) insisted on a $360 lawn treatment program as a minimum requirement for his services. This was not indicated in his pricing. I have gotten quotes from multiple other lawn care providers, and none of them had this requirement. Additionally, he abruptly terminated the mowing service without proper notice. His actions demonstrated a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction, and a lack of reliability. Don't use his services! Response to Owner's response below: Anthony, your response is misleading and fails to address the core issues. Pricing Transparency: While you provided pricing for treatment services, it was never made clear that these treatments were a mandatory part of your lawn care services. This lack of transparency is concerning and reflects poorly on your business practices. Service Reliability: While you may have been reliable in terms of scheduling, the quality of service was compromised by the insistence on treatments. My preference was to focus solely on mowing, which you were unwilling to accommodate. Abrupt Termination: Although you did warn me about the spreading weed problem, you never communicated that you would stop providing services if I didn't sign up for your lawn treatment. The only official warning I received about the termination was your email notifying me that you would no longer cut my lawn. Spreading Weeds: All neighboring houses have the same weeds spread across their lawns. I have lived here for three years and have had the same weed issue every year. Other lawn service providers, who also cut lawns in the neighborhood, have managed to mow my lawn without any issues. Customer Satisfaction: Your response attempts to deflect the issue by questioning my character and intentions. My feedback is based on my experience with your services and your business practices, which I found to be lacking in transparency and professionalism. I stand by my review and urge potential customers to consider these points when evaluating your services. I hope my experience is an anomaly, but best of luck to you and your small business.

Provider response

James was given pricing about treatment services along with the mowing from day one in advance of when I started servicing his property. At that time he said that he wanted to just mow the lawn for now. That to me indicates that he was still thinking about doing treatments on the lawn but just was not sure yet. The quotes from other companies did not include requirement for treatments because 99% of lawn mowing companies are not Certified or Licensed to do so. Green X Lawns is not and has never been solely a lawn cutting service. We offer second to none in not only prompt and reliable service, but we also have a high standard for the quality and appearance of a landscape. We are mainly a lawn treatment service and if you look at any of my marketing materials and website you can clearly see that.<br> <br>James failed to mention that in my 6 visits to his property to mow that I never missed a mowing and that you can set your watch to my reliability and COMMITMENT to his property. Also notice that James was not able to say that a poor quality job was performed because when I finished the lawn it was perfectly manicured despite the number of weeds.<br><br>There was no abrupt termination of the service. James was first notified after third mowing that the weeds and clover were growing faster than the lawn and it was difficult to mow and was making a mess around the house and the pavement. It was after the 6th mowing that was the most difficult and the weeds had spread more and because of the amount of clover which is very sticky, was clogging up the mower deck as well as making a mess in the yard, which I cleaned up and left the place manicured. At that time I contacted James about the matter and explained that was not part of a typical mowing but he did not want to take care of it, and that's when I terminated the service.<br><br>James then emailed me and made a point that he was going to do everything he could to ruin my reputation. Here is the exact quote from the email. <br>"I will be informing all incoming home buyers and other potential customers in our neighborhood, most of whom I know personally, to avoid using your services. We have a close-knit community that actively interacts with one another daily. Your decision will undoubtedly impact your reputation in our neighborhood negatively".<br><br>I ask those of you who know James personally, what kind of a person is so vengeful and emotional about such things, and what does he think of you all behind closed doors? And why does he want to hurt people? Those of you that I have been providing services for in the community, I'm pretty sure you know that I have your best interest in mind and you know the service that I provide. The reality is that after mowing James lawn I was spreading weeds into your lawns which you are paying me to manage. Furthermore,James, you didn't make me so you could never ruin me!To keep things short,James was notified on more than once about the weeds making it difficult to mow.I don't know how much more transparent you can be than informing a customer every step of the way about their property.James mentioned that everyone in the community has the same weeds. All of my other customers in the community do NOT have those weeds because I am controlling the weeds in those yards, and I'm certain they appreciate that I not spread weeds from yards that are infested. That is my basis for terminating the mowing service, and that is how true professionals operate. Just so everyone knows, James filed a fraudulent complaint with Consumer Affairs to blemish my spotless 42 years of service. On the application he stated that he paid me $360 with a credit card for lawn treatment service, that is provably false and made his complaint to look legit, but if you have been following this you know he has been stating that he did not want to do treatments, talk about unprofessional, misleading, deceitful, and transparent.I will have a copy of everything with me for anyone to review the malice involved <br>
