I'm very pleased overall with everything they performed, especially since I lived about 3 hours away. So it was very nice to get the before and after pictures and it made it so much easier to have the property looking nice at all times. Very happy with all the hard work they've done and their staff in-house and and the landscape workers.
My property looks great and trim properly.

I need to be honest with this review in that I did not pay for the services to hire this company for snow removal. However, it would appear that the owners of my apartment complex have. I am currently writing this review at 3:30 in the morning on a Sunday. Apparently, it is deemed appropriate for this company to operate at these hours. My girlfriend and I were woken up at 3:00 AM to the sound of snowblowers and yelling directly outside of our window. They have made absolutely no effort to try and be courteous to my neighbors or I while preforming their services. They have since stopped using the snow blowers and are now yelling at the top of their lungs to each other for some reason while shoveling. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

From start to finish Madison Lawn and Landscape did a fantastic job for our landscaping project. They completed a complex backyard remodel at our lake house and left no detail out and we couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend them for any landscape project you need done!

I have had Madison Lawn and Landscape do two projects for me. The first was they replaced my landscape edging with the concrete edging and all new rock, great curb appeal. I have had multiple compliments on it. The 2nd project was they replaced my front deck that was falling apart. Love it, turned out great. I will have Madison and Landscape do any other project that I have.

Called today and they came out today...11/14/2024. Very friendly and hardworking crew. They did an excellent job cleaning up the leaves. I highly recommend Madison Lawn & Landscape. In fact I have some landscaping to be redone so I plan on calling next spring for that job.

The communication process was great. I was always aware of when the sprinklers would be blown out. I received a call the day before and moments before they arrived. The technician was courteous and very and respectful of my property. He a very thorough job.

We were looking for a company that would do yard clean up, freshen up our mulch, install some sod and install concrete edging. Madison Lawn & Landscaping delivered on all counts!! Matt Johnson, our project manager, did an excellent job of coordinating the teams of people who worked on our project. He came by multiple times while the work was being done; he even jumped in to help with the work. He was in constant communication with us before, during & after the project to make sure things were done well & to our satisfaction. We are thrilled with the final results. We highly recommend Matt Johnson & Madison Lawn & Landscaping! The have us as clients for life!
We hired this company to aerate and over seed our lawn. They did not aerate the entire property. A lot of the seed was sitting on top of the dirt. I watered daily and not a blade of grass grew. Left messages with the Sioux Falls Manager twice. No response. Called Madison office and finally got a return call after emailing that I was not going to pay the bill. Was billed $900.00 for grass seed!!! Was told " they don't guarantee their work". What company does not guarantee their work?
They raised prices almost 70% from year prior. Now price gouging for a basic sprinkler blowout costing $116. Others in the area charge between $60-80. Owner's response is still false even after they edited it. They don't even have our email. We were not notified of such a price increase from last year. Several neighbors confirmed the same thing that they were also not notified of the price change. Also "that kind of service" of other vendors acting like Madison uses some sort of premium air or extra style to accomplish the same exact thing. Unprofessional and condescending response on par for the previous negative reviews. Owner's original response: Tyler we appreciate your feedback. We let everyone including you know the price before we service them if you don't like the price you are more then welcome to hire someone else. We are a establish and professional company. There are also companies charging the same as us and even less than $60 if you want that kind of service your more than welcome to hire whoever you like.

On December 14th, 2022 I was involved in a car accident with a worker, in a company truck, from Madison Lawn and Landscape. We were both in a turning lane to turn left, the worker was in front of me and started to get out of the turning lane and shifted right to enter the straight lane. He then decided he didn’t want to and reversed in the turning lane, I was not able to back up and watched the whole thing happen in slow motion as he reversed into me, in the turning lane! The accident was clearly his fault and he admitted that and that he had been pushing snow since 2am and was not paying attention at all! He also tried to tell me I didn’t need to call the cops and I could just take a picture of the insurance and go, obviously I said no and called the cops! While we were waiting for the cop his General Manager showed up and was also very apologetic of the situation and told the worker he needed to go home and get sleep. The cop came and took our stories, gave us red tags, accident report info and sent us on our way. I called and made a claim with their company insurance that day and 30 some days later I have finally been granted no fault from their insurance company. Which brings me to why I have such disrespect for Madison Lawn and Landscape Company. Their insurance company was never once able to get ahold of the worker who hit me until the last couple days of the investigation when the insurance company had finally sent him a letter and copy of the police report, which stated he made an illegal lane change but not the he was doing that while reversing. The insurance company did get ahold of the General Manager at one point but he had stated that I rear ended the worker and was not giving a straight story and continued to not answer the insurance companies phone calls after that. I even tried to call the company and leave a voicemail for the GM and he did not return my calls either! When the worker did finally call the insurance company back, he first said I hit him but later on continued to say he wasn’t paying attention and had many not straight stories! All in all, I’m finally getting my vehicle fixed from their companies insurance but the lack of responsibility the worker and his General Manager have taken in this situation is appalling! I don’t know if it was to hide something or to keep them from getting in trouble but I could honestly care less, they are representing a company and showing how they deal with problems and treat people! I would absolutely never recommend this company to anyone, character goes a long way and this company definitely lacks good character! This has been such an awful, drawn out situation to deal with, that should have been taken care of right away!

I unfortunately have to give a negative review to this company. To be honest, I am still completely baffled by the whole situation and I’m not exactly sure what is happening with this company. I share my story to hopefully prevent people from going through similar struggles and also hope that Madison lawn care can improve and fix the obvious problems they have. In April I began working with Madison Lawncare on a shoreline project, we worked out a plan and a quote and intially I was impressed with the service I received. However from the moment I put a deposit down this interaction has been all downhill. I was told the project would be started in July, I received no communication from the project manager until August when I was told the project would be moved to early September, I was not upset about this as the weather could have caused delays, I was more upset about lack of communication, but was still hopeful. Then comes late September after repeated unanswered emails, I was finally contacted by another project manager who told me the former project manager left about 6 weeks ago and they had just came across my project and based on my conversations they seemed to have no idea about the project. He then informed me that there was no way they would be able to compete project by winter. At this point I should have just walked away, however I knew walking away would mean a long road ahead and the new project manager seemed willing to work with me, he actually returned my deposit in person and came out and did a new evaluation. He communicated his evaluation and 3 emails and 2 months later I still have not heard back. (I was willing to work with them again, but once again when it came to following through on work they came up short). I can’t speak to commercial work this company does, but if you are looking for residential landscape work, please do not use this company! Again I’m not sure what is happening with this company, but there is obvious problems that need to be addressed.

Lucas, I apologize for the lack of communication and scheduling with Josh. You are correct Josh left the company. Our new branch manager took over and realized Josh had made commitments he couldn’t keep as he had fallen behind with his scheduling. We did refund your deposit and let you know the project couldn’t be completed this year. We truly apologize for the inconvenience. We have called and emailed.
Most unprofessional company out there. Between me and my wife, have called 4 times in 2 days, with no call back. The only person who would call back, is no longer with the company. Matt, who lives in same town as us, was by far, the best person to talk too. Came to the house, on his own time even, and would discuss ideas. I will notify all the folks in dells to reconsider their choice of lawn care immediately.

Signed up with Madison Lawn Care for Xmas lighting the last two years. The "new" lights we purchased the first year were dim and almost looked used, after numerous calls they replaced the lights. Year two, one of the installers shorted out our plugins due to a faulty wire. Tried to get a resolution for over a year with zero response. Just poor communication and product, would not recommend.

I believe the dimming issue, and the tripped breaker was an issue with one of the strands. This is a very unprofessional business. I met with them in the middle of May to get a quote on getting some landscaping done. The quote was accepted and we were put on the schedule. We kept getting pushed back on the schedule and after many times of trying to contact and ignored emails they finally responded saying they will not be able to do our project this year. I would not recommend them.

Josh came over this past Spring and gave us a quote. Based on his quote we agreed to his service. A man checked our sprinklers and we paid $65. However, were charged an additional $92 for maintenance WHICH WE DID NOT AGREE TO. We had many issues having Josh call us back concerning the $92 extra charge. We finally called and cancelled our service. They did one last treatment wherewere quoted $73 but we got a bill today for $106.50 and it said we are past due. How did the application go from $73 to over $100? Rip off and scam. Does not honor quotes.
