Barnes provided design, demolition, and installation of new outdoor stairs (including railings) as well as hardscape, plants and lighting. Throughout the entire process they were professional, attentive to details, and always friendly. I would highly recommend Barnes for any outdoor project!

My experience here recently was ho-hum. Surprised that they had no supplies for starting seeds this spring. They didn’t even have the usual compressed-peat jiffy pots for seed starting, except for some old musty stock she dragged out that were way too big. They hardly had any potting mix choices, just a few bags of overpriced organic mix leftover from years past. They had a few spring flowers, such as viola and pansies. I got a few pansies and potted them up with organic potting mix, and overnight they died. I’m convinced it was the organic potting mix that killed them. It’s not even worth my time and effort to take them back for a refund, and by now I’ve thrown out the receipt anyways, so it would be a waste of my time and gas money. I remember 20 years ago when they used to exhibit at some big garden exhibition event in Cleveland, Ohio. They built the most magnificent displays with a water fountain and potted fresh spring flowers. It was beautiful back in the heyday, very inspiring. Then I went to the same event in subsequent years and they really scaled back; it was unimpressive and uninspiring. Not sure if they even do it anymore. Barnes used to be the very best in design and quality, but I don’t think they’re on that track anymore. I think I’ll try to start going elsewhere.

The drivers don't care about anyone. Be careful when you see them on the road

I called for landscaping quote and was told someone would call me the following week. He never did. Called again and the woman said she would put a note in his mailbox to call. 4 days later, still waiting. I'll be looking elsewhere. Customer service is not what it used to be. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the woman I spoke with was pleasant on the phone.

Went on Sunday to pick up some outside plants...they were apparently under staffed..and the woman who finally helped was rude like we were wasting her time...it wasn't like we weren't spending any money. We had over 100. Dollars in plants in our cart ..not sure if we'll be going BACK !!!
