Danica was able to accommodate a relatively quick request for our inspection which was greatly appreciated. She was professional and thorough in her inspection. She spent two hours on her inspection and another hour reviewing her findings with me and my wife. The interactive PDF report provided was 80+ pages and provided details in all aspects of our new house. This is fourth time I’ve used Allen Home Inspections and would recommend them.

We were so very pleased with every aspect of our experience with Allen Home Inspections. The first thing that we noticed was that they answer their phone and all of our questions. They were really good to talk to. Our inspection report was delivered exactly when they said it would be. It was thorough and easy to understand. Each issue was accompanied by a photo to document the condition. They found a wire in the attic that come loose from an electric junction box. I know that it had to have been buried under insulation and they made the effort to find it and check it. We are very comfortable now that we have an accurate view of the condition of the property that we were interested in. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

It would have been nice if he checked the windows. 4 of them couldn't open. Had to spend 10 grand to replace. Wouldn't have bought the house if I knew.

Edit: Had an issue with what I thought was the air conditioning... Come to find out the inspector put down the heat pump was bad.... He didn't know how to turn the ac on. I thought they amended it but I was wrong. How can someone who does home inspections not know how to turn the ac on... Went from a 5 star to a 2...i After looking at reviews online and reading feedback these guys were a no brainer to go with. Arriving at the house I was greated and they went over everything very thoroughly. If you are looking for someone who is professional, on time and courteous Allen home inspection is who you want go with.... Very pleased.

Josh's report was very long, with lots of pictures; he identified a number of things that needed to be replaced by the seller as a condition of the home purchase, which is appreciated. However, after we bought the house my homeowners insurance would not continue my policy unless the roof was replaced. Also, during a routine service call, my furnace was condemned and air conditioner had to be rewired , both of which the technician said the home inspector should have detected, and all of which would have made me reconsider the home purchase had I been made aware. The folks at Allen Home Inspections are among the nicest you will meet, but in the end, the service I paid for seems inconsistent at best, and has cost me thousands of dollars in subsequent bills.

We were given a lot of information, tools and they were always available to answer questions when I called or texts. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I felt at times we were rushed through the briefing. A few times we had questions related to the topic but talked over and moved on. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service we received and would use this company again.

Allen home inspection did an inspection of my home for a buyer, so I do not even have any money invested with this business. And the inspection report did not even come back negative as well, so I cannot be accused of a scorned customer. These guys are as unprofessional as it comes and I would beware using them for any kind of inspection if were a buyer or realtor. We had hidden cameras in our house while they did their inspection and they used an hour of their two hours posted up on my couch with their feet dangling. Also they went and got our yorkie out of her cage and played with her and let her outside. After the inspection I discovered our back screen door is ajar and will not close flush anymore, so I do not know what they did to that. the conversations they were having while posted up on my couch were "very distasteful", to say the least. My realtor called them as we watched live on camera and asked what the hell they were doing and he tried to lie, live on tv. She told them get the dog back into her cage and get out. Wow! after talking with my realtor they exited the house and waited for the buyers to come in their truck. These guys cannot be trusted and I would suggest anytime you let anyone into your home, have it on camera.

Came as a recommendation from the realtor I contacted for the sale. The inspection had already started prior to my arrival. After taking Josh's suggestion on the inside of nothing wrong, we closed 2 days later on a cash sale. After beginning to move in , we noticed several things that should have been caught on the inside. These things most certainly would have had to been replaced or repaired. I paid $455 for less than 2hrs of an inspection and trusted the realtor's knowledge and that of Josh Allen Home Inspections. Buyer beware!!
