I normally don't write reviews but the service I had was just beyond any expectation. I had a tree fall in my yard and into my neighbors just before the big snow storm this year (a foot of snow) and my neighbors were extremely concerned about the tree in the storm. Even though they were booked solid Chris managed to come out with a hand saw (he was in the area) and managed to cut down enough of the tree to make my neighbor (and me) worry free during the snow. Even more amazing was that shortly after the storm, with a foot of snow on the ground, they still managed to assemble a crew to finish the job. Really more than I could have asked for! Great job.

The entire Tamke experience was 5 star. It started with Chris examining the property, and giving his opinion. Continued with the crew showing up as scheduled, and ended with a superb, professional job, that was well done.

First visit was great. Then concurring visits while I wasn't there and they charged several hundreds of dollars without approval. Careful with them

Tamke Tree Experts were quick, clean and affordable. I needed a tree removed, some stumps shaved down and some shrubbery prettied up and they did everything exceptionally well. I also had a finicky schedule and they worked around that too. I recommend them and will use them again!

I have been using Tamke for over a decade for all my trees and bushes needs. They are prompt; someone always call you back several times and they come at the appointed time. All arborists are polite and knowledgeable. My bushes and trees look wonderful.

Be careful -they removed the trees like any other Tree Service company. Still waiting for them to come back and prune a tree which was supposedly scheduled. Overall not impressed. Poor communication.

We called about our 2 dead trees near our neighbor's driveway. In the days between our call and the initial visit bybtheir arborist Lenny, the top of one snapped off and got wedged in another tree. When we explained that, Lenny was super responsive and worked us in quickly to take the trees down before they fell onto cars. And at a great price! Highly recommend!

The arborist was very knowledgeable and passionate about trees. The work crew was polite, the work was high quality and visually pleasing, and they cleaned up well.

They are always courteous and helpful. They remind us and check with us which services we'd like them to perform this season and their work is reliable. Our representative our answers questions and responds promptly. They've worked with us for years.

Terrible

We have used Tamke for many years and they have performed regular services that have maintained our trees and shrubbery and contained the regular garden pests well. We have also had tree trimming and removal performed successfully.

I've used them for 8 years, generally good service, has been declining. A few years ago they pruned the wrong tree, and was an obvious mistake -- had a Norway Spruce that clearly needed some pruning, and they pruned a nearby Blue Spruce tree cutting off many living limbs. 2018 has been pretty bad in terms of reliability, they have a backlog of work, and haven't been able to communicate timelines, have twice left a job half done with no indication of when they would finish it, and have had to chase them. Left some deep ruts in my neighbors yard, did not first seek permission, and caused some complaints.
