I have been a long time customer with Abarb Pest Control since 1980s. I’ve had the pleasure of having tech Rich, Michael, and many others and each one is professional, outstanding at their skill, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and always assisting us with any issues we have encountered. Sue, the office manager is an absolute joy to speak with!! Many times I’ve called with an issue and Sue couldn’t be nicer. She excels at her job!! She’s knowledgeable, kind, extends outstanding customer service, answers every call with a pleasant voice, and always willing to help. Over the years, if I call with an issue that can’t wait, Sue will locate a tech to help us. I have had the pleasure of meeting her in the office and to no surprise, she is as kind in person as she is on the phone. In addition, I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with her office staff who are just as nice and always willing to help. Abarb deserves a 10 star rating!! Thank you Sue and every other individual I’ve had the pleasure of meeting or speaking to!!!!!!!! Kudos to all of you!

We have used their quarterly preventative maintenance for a few years. Once we started, I'm not sure we've even so much as seen an ant and the mice that were here when we moved in are now gone. Also, the techs they send out are top notch. Friendly and professional.

Abarb is avery dishonest and incapable company they treated my mom’s house for bed bugs! They overcharged her by $5,000 gave a one month warranty and used the wrong chemicals on top of that they made a 97 year old woman clear out her closet and drawers wash everything herself in hot water and put the clothes in a plastic bag on the deck in the sun! She has gotten another infestation of the bed bugs and had to hire another company Cooper Pest Control who had Abarb meet them at the house and discovered that they were unscrupulous in their treatments so she was forced to have the house resprayed again for a third of the price so I’m contacting the Better Business Bureau and putting in a complaint because I feel that they have taken advantage of the elderly people and who knows how many people have been affected by this kind of situation so unbelievable and I think they should have offered her a refund but no they didn’t do anything to rectify this situation so I am reporting them! If you want to use this company please don’t they are very dishonest we’re going to pursue this matter to the full extent we can! Be warned if this company please! Wanaque NJ

Thank you for your review. I would like to address your complaints and ask if you could please contact me at 973-839-6228 to discuss further. First, I would like to apologize for the fact that you felt the need to write this review. I understand that your Mothers neighbor met with our technician at the time we had scheduled for an evaluation of the home. We do not offer a one month warranty, we tell our clients that if bedbugs re-appear within 3 months then we will return and treat at no cost, which is what we did at your Mothers home. No one after that time ever contacted us to say that there was a reinfestation until now which is 6 months later. Sue from our office spoke to your Mom and was trying to make arrangements to prevent your Mom from going through all of the preparation work again, but we needed to do the evaluation first. Abarb is a small family owned business doing business in the area for over 52 years. I am the owner, we are not a large heartless corporation. We are part of the community that we work in and we are always honest. We would NEVER take advantage of any elderly person EVER! BB work is very labor intensive and in the case of your Mothers home, we provided 7 services for a total of $5000 which works our to less that Cooper is charging for one service with maybe more to follow? It has been 6 MONTHS since we heard from your Mother. We did not know BB's had returned until she called last week. Different companies have different policies when it comes to BB service, our policy is to remove clothing in infested areas because it is well known in the industry and is our experience that this is one of the most effective methods for BB removal. The chemical we used is compliant and in our experience very effective. We try to balance the needs of the client with the home we are servicing. You do not mention in your review that your Mother has a Grey African Parrot, we would never want to harm the bird but unique situations like this bring unique challenges to providing effective control. Different companies have different policies for what they prefer to use. I believe this is what the rep from Cooper meant but I was not there and I cannot speak for them. Abarb is not now nor have we ever been a "dishonest" company! Again, I would like to have the opportunity to discuss this matter with you on the phone or in person in an effort to find a solution that is satisfactory to you. Horrible company. george really isn’t the owner it’s his wife’s and their family. Only married into something that was already there. Way over priced and offer half the work a real pest control company does. Look elsewhere and you’ll save money and get a better service

We've been using Abarb for a few years now. We started using them for persistent ant problems around the foundation of our house and signed up for their quarterly service. We have been very happy with the quality of their service and their professionalism. Their technicians are great, especially Junior who is extremely thorough with his inspections and so friendly. Can't recommend them enough!

Terrible experience. DO NOT USE! Sue was one of the rudest and most inconsiderate service operators I've ever encountered. Condescending, intentionally misleading and overall just an awful experience. We paid almost $400 for the treatment of one insect that we are still seeing an abundance of. Burning four 100 dollar bills would probably have served as more of an exterminate.

Jeff, it is very regrettable that you have had this experience. Abarb Pest Services is a local company serving NJ area for almost 50 years! Our service programs have two options. 1 for a single service and a second for a multiple series of treatments. In your case, you selected the single treatment option. As a result of your dissatisfaction, you received a 100% refund. As a local family-run business it is important for us to provide a great customer experience. I am truly sorry that you feel the way that you do, but there was nothing more we could do for you other than provide FREE service.
