John and the other tech (whose name I didn’t catch) did a great job finding and capturing all the spots where wildlife can get into our house, and created a comprehensive and fairly-priced proposal to remedy the issues quickly. They did a thorough job and were on time and super friendly. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a proud and loyal customer since 2008. The company is all around amazing! They call back when you need them and always professional. I haven’t changed my service plan in 15 years. Russ and his crew are easy to work with and knowledgable. His staff is lovely (Diana). You’ll be pleased.

This is the second time we have had NJ Pest come out to our house, and they are always amazing. Our tech this time was Anthony and he was super knowledgeable, took his time, answered all of our questions, and gave us great advice beyond just the treatment needed!

I have used this company for a few years now and I have been very happy with them. Every year around this time I get small ants in the house and they can tell where they get in and I would recommend them. Anthony did a great job helping me see their place of entry. These were the tiny ants but I am sure the black ants will be here as soon as it gets warmer.

I agreed to a price with the technician and sales person only for them to send no confirmation until 2 days before the supposed job, a reschedule on the day of the supposed job after I took off of work, and a cancellation of the entire job because he could not work with the price we agreed to.

Provider response

Mr. Walker,

We are sorry for this experience, but we cannot find you in our database and feel you may have left this review for the wrong company. Could you please contact our office at 973-895-2600 and ask for Russ so we can determine if in fact this was our company, we look forward to speaking with you.

NJ Pest charged me $1000 to seal areas of potential entry, it did not stop the activity so they sent me a proposal for additional seal up work. They sent technicians to my house when I was not home and did not communicate those appointments. They do not answer the phone and never solved the problem or attempted to solve the problem. I do not recommend working with them.

Provider response

Paula

Our technician went out to look at your home and gave you a proposal for all of the areas we identified at that time to be sealed up. The proposal was for $1,000 to seal all identified areas and you approved it and told us to move forward. We sealed all identified entries at that time. You called to inform us that there was still a problem so we came back to your home to check the work we did to make sure everything was OK and it was. The technician then crawled under your deck and identified new entry points under the deck that were not included in the original proposal. He initiated a change order for an additional $600 to seal up these new points of entry. All performed work is guaranteed for 2 years so you never have to worry about pests coming back.

With regard to communication, our system sends out an email, text message, and phone call to the homeowner, notifying them when a technician is arriving. These messages are provided for every visit. If you do not listen to them in a timely manner, you would have missed the technician at your home.

I will be happy to discuss this with you at any time if you just call the office at 973-895-2600.

I was not home when Anthony serviced our house yesterday. We spoke on the phone and discussed that he would treat the outside and I will schedule a visit for him to return to check the interior of the house.

Provider response

Thank you so much for your kind words! We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and we’re glad you had a great experience. Hope to see you again soon!

Poor experience. Called them based on a promotion online. Pricing was for a call out and not service, which wasn't disclosed (despite me asking about pricing). Promotion was not honored, claimed that the ad wasn't valid anymore. Given the lack of consistency with the back office pricing (I was provided 3 different varying quotes), I didn't want to have them resolve the animal issue I was experiencing. I wouldn't call them again as the whole experience was negative.

Provider response

Mr. Ladha,

You originally called our office because you stated that your nanny saw a squirrel in your garage and you wanted it removed promptly. The expired promotion you found on our website was for $100 off any exclusion project. This promotion was not for our $250 emergency service fee. When our tech came to your home, he could not determine the type of animal your nanny saw so we suggested to start setting traps. We gave you the cost to set traps and you did not agree.

If you purchased our Wildlife Services program, you would be entitled to FREE service calls for a 2-year initial warranty on all exclusion work we performed renewable annually thereafter.

I would be happy to go over the program with you at any time if call our office at 973-895-2600

Called 4/1 I had ants. They serviced Still had them 5/1 called again still had them. The person said they will do a third I called them stating the ants never went away was told had to pay again. It would be over $700 for the year. Or another $175 for new contract. Never got rid of the ants Look elsewhere.

Unprofessional and disorganized company. The technicians give you one price and then the office calls you with another price. When you speak with the owner Russ to seek some kind of solution he’ll proceed to pretty much call you liar and tell you how his technician would’ve never given you that price. He’s extremely cocky and tries to talk to you as if you’re stupid. He should learn a thing or two about customer service.

I cant even begin to express how disappointed i am in this company. My landlord hired this company to come & stop mice from coming in my home. I showed them 1 obvious spot they were coming in. They completely ignored it & the hole is still wide open. Then the crew installed the materials wrong. The guy in charge came out & made them pull it all down & start over. This left holes around the bottom of my siding all around the house. She paid half up front & said she would pay the remainder at the finish of the job. Well here we are a year later. The job never got finished. & i just caught the 5th mouse in 3 days in my home. Does that sound like they did their job properly?! I dont think so. I have a baby in the house & this is very concerning for me!! They dont want to hear anything without their money. Some company. Almost forgot, they also hit an elecrical wire behind the siding. Had to stop working & i had to call & pay for an electrician to come out and fix what they did because the whole side of my house was live! They had to come back on three different days to do work on my home. Never finished the job, and now they flat out refeuse to come back until they are paid in full. They dont care that there are mice getting in. All they respond with is, finish payment.

Provider response

Melanie,
I was caught of guard by your review. Unfortunately, you do not have all of the facts before you posted this. I am responding because all our communication was with your landlord, and we never spoke directly, that I'm aware of. We provided a proposal to your landlord in May of 2021 to provide an exclusion for mice. Our policy is that a fifty percent deposit was needed to begin work, with the balance due upon completion. We started this proposed work a few weeks later.

As we were performing the exclusion work for the mice our technician hit a wire that was improperly tucked under the exterior siding. At this point the exclusion work was paused so that the landlord could have this corrected.

The landlord contacted us, a few weeks later (that the electrical issues were completed) and crew returned to complete the project, June 2021. We returned and inspected the work because there were some concerns in July 2022. We addressed those concerns and still have not received full payment for the completed work. Even though payment was not received at this point we still honored our warranty and fixed the concerns. The final invoice was sent by mail, email and voicemail messages were left on several occasions and still no payment.

We have attempted to collect this outstanding invoice for several months, then in May 2022, your landlord reaches out complaining of still having an issue. I explained to her that we will be glad to come and address any concerns that she has and honor our warranty once the invoice is paid in full. She stated that she understood and would look into it.

We received a partial payment in September and a balance still remains. Once we are paid in full for the outstanding balance, we will gladly schedule an inspection and determine the solution for your new mouse problem.

I am truly sorry, that you are caught in the middle of this situation, but you are the tenant and we dealt directly with the landlord.
I am skeptical of all the amazing reviews on this company. Before they reach out and say they never serviced someone under my name, my google name is my maiden name and the contract is under my legal/married name. I will gladly provide a photo of our contract with them. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. They are rude and disorganized. They cannot keep an appointment time at all- constantly reschedule or don't show up for services they said they would show up for. My husband and I both missed work 2x for a service they confirmed with us, for them to never show. The owner, Russ, is extremely rude and yelled at me on the phone. The workers are also extremely rude and gave us an issue when we asked them not to feed our dogs treats (we don't know these people and our dogs have allergies). You are here to provide a service, not feed my dog. I am so happy we had our final service with this company that is a complete rip off. Find someone else! EDIT (after the response below): Wow! It took a negavtive review to get a prompt response from your company. You don't need my name to "do better" as you put it. You can do better with the information you have. "XXX" amount of years in business? You don't know how many years you've been in business? I have dealt with Raine and Debbie or Diane (not sure of the name as the voicemails are fuzzy) in the office and their lack of communication with Russ, who I am assuming is the one who commented below- shockingly didn't address my concerns about his behaviors towards me. Jon Cis (for his privacy, I won't publicly post his last name, but I have it on our contract with a picture of his certification) was the one who offered our dog the treat. Unless you check the pockets of your employees (which would be concerning in itself), you have no way of knowing what they carry with them. Jon did ask to give our dog treats and when my husband kindly told him know, he pushed back (learn some boundaries) and we needed to tell him again more firmly. He then just walked away and let the other person here that day finish the job while he sat in the truck. Also, if the review below was from Russ, you weren't there that day... you were probably yelling at someone else on the phone, so please don't tell me what did and did not happen for something I witnessed with my own eyes and was part of the conversation. Also, if you're so adamant that your workers don't carry "biscuits" what were they offering my dogs then? You guys carry a lot of chemicals with you... that's concerning. I would also like to add that your comment just proves the lack of communication, and reading on this company's part. They hear/see what they want. They are also liars. My husband and I would not miss 2 days pay for a service that was not confirmed or that we were told was rescheduled. There were multiple appointments that were confirmed and no one showed up. When we would call, we would get the run around and told that it was never confirmed... yet we had voicemails or e-mails to prove it. Gaslighting and manipulation at its finest. For a company that talks about being veteran owned, I would have hoped you would be more professional, ethical, and communicate better. Strive to do better with ^^^ that information.

Provider response

Danielle,

I want to apologize for your negative experience that you recently encountered but in order for me to address this issue, I need to know the name that is on the contract. There are several items that are very concerning to me simply because they have never happened in the 21 years in business. The first being we have never not showed up for a client appointment without prior communication letting them know we were not coming. The second, none of our employees carry dog biscuits and therefore would not have given any to your pets.

I can see the frustration in the tone in which you are responding, but I want you to know that I need your name to pull the contract so I can see the notes in the file. We keep copious notes on every client, and I need a full name on the contract so we can identify what service was performed and the date that service was performed. I checked our files by the first name, and we do not have any Danielle’s for which we have performed a service in the last eight months. This concerns me because all our clients are entered into our system for billing and follow-up. Therefore, we need your full name so we can look up the service and what transpired. You also mention that you spoke with an employee that has not been employed here for over six months. So, if you talked to that particular employee, this service must have happened at least six months ago or more. I am not sure why you do not want to provide the full name on the contract, but you can also call the office at any time, and I will gladly speak with you regarding this matter in more detail.

Regards,
Russ

Visit yelp for an accurate review as these reviews are all 5 star. How convenient. This company is unprofessional, unable to deliver what they promise. Please don't use these guys, do your research. I should have paid more and got the correct solution the first time. Njpest.org, liars and theives.

Provider response

Mr. Lebedev

We have checked our records, and you are not in our database, which leads me to believe that once again, our company is mistaken for our competitor with a similar website address. I am very sorry you had a bad experience with another pest control company. After reading your entire review and experience, it is clear that there is a mistake somewhere. Yes, we have many 5-star reviews that are 100% legitimate because we work hard to provide the optimal experience to all of our customers. We are a Veteran owned pest and wildlife control company, and we would have never left your property until you were satisfied. We would be more than happy to provide you with an estimate for our services. We are located in Randolph, NJ but service all surrounding areas. If you have a moment, please contact me at 877.465.7378 so I can learn more about your experience.

Regards,
Russ Sieb

This company chargedcke $500 to catch a groundhog on my property. They placed a cage near one if the holes. Then they expected me to check the food and rest the trap if other animals got caught inside and said it would cost $100 per animal they caught aside from the groundhog. The owner actually went off, yelling at me because there was a dead baby possum in the cage. And they just stopped communicating with me or responding at all not to mention they left the cage. I wasted $500 for a supposed guarantee. I've now had to pay someone else $350 to catch it.

Provider response

Dear Ms. Battle,

I am sorry you had a bad experience with another wildlife company. After looking up our records, you are not in our system. After reading your entire review, it is clear that we did not perform this service for you. Our service is much different because we charge a flat rate for our trapping services and not a per animal fee. Also, not only is it against state regulation and law for a customer to check/service a trap but it is a safety issue as well. We are the only designated Veteran owned wildlife control company in the State of New Jersey. We would be more than happy to provide you with an estimate for our services. We are located in Randolph but service all surrounding areas. Please feel free to contact me at 877.465.7378 and ask for Russ.
