Much like the other reviews for S.W.A.T., Justin was responsive until after payment in full was received and then failed to follow up despite providing a warranty in writing.

We purchased our home in 2020 and it was discovered during the inspection that there was a bat problem in our attic. Justin from SWAT did the initial work with a 5 year warranty. July of 2024 we had a bat in our basement so I contacted Justin to see if he could take a look since we were still under warranty. At first, Justin was responsive and said he’d get there within the week. I followed up with him 2 weeks after hearing nothing and he said he was working on scheduling a time to come out and would let me know. It’s now almost been 2 months and he is no longer replying to my calls, emails, or texts. Do not waste your money.

Do not trust this person. We paid him $1800 cash with a 4 year guarantee. Completely ghosted us. Stole from us. Untrustworthy.

0/5. Please listen to the past reviews. I didn’t listen and now I paid the price. Signed a contract for squirrel removal and to close the entry point with flashing. 2 months ago. June 4th 2024 to be exact and now it is July 27th. The trap is still sitting on my roof and the entry point still hasn’t been closed. I’ve contacted him several times and have been ghosted. I was scammed. He got his money and will just buy another trap. Well once I get on the roof his will be tossed in the trash. Save your money and get it done by someone else PLEASE. Attached is the contract I signed and paid for. If you choose to go with him, only offer half down!

Justin from SWAT did the initial work and came back in the spring because he needed to complete the work by closing off the entry points. We were given a warranty and made several attempts to have Justin come back due to pest activity in the attic. When he finally responded he told my husband of some personal issues going on with his children. Months passed and after sending more texts, calling and filling out a contact form on his website, he never came back out to address the issue.

There's a reason Justin disabled the reviews on his Facebook company page. He was getting many negative reviews including mine that has been erased. My original review: I had Justin out in Oct 2019 for bats in the attic of my detached garage. Bats don't typically stick around for the winter so all was good for a bit. Spring/Summer 2020, the bats returned and made a home in my attic again. I called Justin and he came out and said he didn't know how they are still getting in but he sealed the ridge vents and put in another 1 way tube. Well they were still getting in and I notified Justin again but he didn't give any solution or offer to come out. 2021/2022 and I still have the bats and the 1 way tube he left on my ridge. I have asked Justin numerous times to contact me and he never responded. I have 5 year warranty papers from him that are apparently useless because he doesn't stand behind his work. DO NOT RECOMMEND

If you're looking for pest or wildlife removal service in the metro Detroit area, look no further. SWAT Critter Solutions is the one to call! After I had experienced poor customer service and no-show appointments from three other wildlife removal businesses in the Madison Heights area, I contacted SWAT Critter Solutions for groundhog removal. Justin was responsive, quick and provided excellent customer service - he was able to take care of the groundhog issue at my home in just three days. Highly recommend this business.

Easily a 5 star experience! From the beginning Justin was quick to respond, friendly, and clearly an expert in this industry. With my busy schedule Justin’s follow up was VITAL. He came out to do an inspection and provided us with a clear plan and quote from start to finish. Not only that but was very consistent with follow up and checking in to see if we were satisfied after every appointment. Long story short we haven’t so much as seen or heard rodents in our home since Justin sealed everything up and I will be renewing with him when the time comes.

Working with S.W.A.T Critter Solutions and Justin was the best decision that we made while trying to sell our home. There was evidence of mice and bats in our attic after our buyer's inspection and of all of the big box companies that we called, S.W.A.T was the most reasonable in price and more importantly the most prompt and timely. Everything was completed not only on time and on budget, but with a transferrable warranty for our new buyer. Would definitely recommend them 100x over.

Justin got the job done. We were not sure if we had mice or dare or a mix of both. He added mice 🐁 traps and also took care of the gaps on the roof. And while it was pricy, it was the least expensive quote we got. He was responsible and showed up when he said. And no more footsteps in our attic. Yay!

Justin was professional, extremely fair and knowledgeable. He came right away, was very informative, and when he left, I felt very lucky to have found his company. I highly recommend him, and suggest you look no further and give him a call!

Justin was a great communicator and came out quickly (same day) to check out noises from our attic in our home in Novi! He was professional and thorough. We will contact him again in the future!

About 7 months ago! Heard some scampering in my walls put a mouse trap in a vent opening and a couple minutes later a bat tried to poke out! I called about 5 or 6 different places and they refused to do bats so I kept searching and came across Justin at Swat Critter Solutions, unfortunately I called him very late in the day and he was booked but came out the very next day to start the bat eviction! He charged a very reasonable price and even included a 5 year warranty! He installed 2 bat doors and sealed up any additional entrances , after about a week or so we had thought they were all gone and he was going to come back unfortunately it had rained so we had rescheduled and I’m glad we did we noticed they started flying into my chimney and just hanging out in there, he came back out next day put a cap on with another one way door , and removed the other two and sealed them off! Came back out about 2 weeks later and capped off the roof! I haven’t had any issues! Thank you so much Justin for you time and patience and getting the job done right!

Responsiveness on follow up inquiries is zero: Once he gets your money he will not return my calls, texts or emails. I needed him to follow up on his initial trap placement, as we still have squirrels in the attic in the same location as before. I paid $219 for 2 visits. I am now involving the Better Business Bureau for remediation. If I could post zero star review I would

I called Justin after 6pm and he came out the same evening - super responsive! He was able to get a big squirrel out of my condo and took the time to inspect where the squirrel got in at 9pm. He put a temporary cap on as the condo association has to install the permanent one. Otherwise, he was willing to handle that as well. I referred him on Nextdoor!

Finding people to do a professional job these days isn’t easy. After calling several companies, I was lucky to come across Justin at Swat. Straight forward, knowledgeable and best of all no BS. Justin not only made time after hours to come by more than once, but was on top of the job the whole time from start to finish. If you want your issue resolved quickly and from a professional who won’t rip you off, call Justin. From experience you will not be disappointed. TL;dr: Justin took payment for service he did not complete, and now won’t return communication. Initially I was impressed with Justin’s service. The price seemed competitive and he was very willing to come look at our squirrel problem. He even offered to build us a door for our crawl space that was the entry point. He set traps, and even recommended some other service professionals for other work we needed done. He returned once to check the traps. After weeks, and me reaching out, he gave vague estimates on his return. I was willing to be patient because he had a viable excuse, and hey... things are weird right now with COVID-19, and half of Michigan flooding. He never showed up or even contacted back with a new explanation or attempt to reschedule. My husband and I have reached out repeatedly through text and phone calls with no answer. I was feeling worried for him, honestly, until I saw the other reviews here about him ghosting customers. If you decide to work with Justin despite multiple reviews about him not completing work, I suggest paying upon completion of service and not upfront.

If I could give zero stars I would. We had a hurt and/or sick skunk in our yard. Couldn't even walk it would stand up take a step and fall over. We called to try to get it help 3 or 4 times and texted. He texted back twice by the time he texted the second time (the next morning when he claims to work late) the skunk had already passed away in our yard. Then he still never came to get it out of our yard when he said he would. I don't know about other people but I'm not about to go pick up a dead skunk out of my yard by myself when I don't know the cause of the death in the first place. Calling someone else today. Because of his poor service this animal died. Will never recommend

Very disappointed with Justin and Swat Critter Solutions. Justin is a nice guy and he gave me a good price, but I think he is way too busy to deliver good service. If you are looking for a responsive company that will quickly resolve your issue, I recommend using someone else. From the time I first contacted Justin to help me get squirrels out of my roof on 5/19, he continually texted me that he would be out in a day or two, but did not actually show up until June 1st. When the trap caught a squirrel, I asked Justin to come right away to retrieve it and set it loose a safe distance from my home, especially because the squirrel was distressed in the trap and was hurting itself while trying to escape. Justin did not show up for another day, by which point the creature was trapped for too long, exposed to summer sun with no water, hurting itself in distress, and ultimately died in the trap after more than 24 hours. Granted, some people may not care if the pests in their home die in the process of being removed. But if inhumane treatment of animals bothers you, Justin may not be responsive enough to remove animals from your property without hurting them. The worst part of all of this is that I am still hearing squirrels in my roof, meaning that Justin did not cover all of the entry/exit points for the squirrels. I've been trying to get him back out to my house to fix this issue, and he has been unresponsive/not showing up for over a week. At this point, this issue is holding up other projects that I need to do on my house. **Update: Justin has fully refunded the money that I paid him, and informed me that he can no longer be of service to us. We will be using a different company going forward.**
