Very kind people to work with, and they make the process very easy! Rob came out to do a normal preventative treatment, but I had some yellow jackets make a nest in my siding right before he came. He treated those, then found another nest I didn't even know was there. Very thorough and professional! Couldn't recommend enough!

I first reviewed Wingman in 2017 on Yelp and had excellent service. Had them out again today for a much more serious problem. Happy to say their service was just as good as it was in 2017. After having my roof replaced 2 years ago I had bats, mice and squirrels in my attic. A large squirrel had made it's way into my basement. The tech and I opened the door to the storage area and there it was flying through the air. He had me immediately close the door and remained with the squirrel while I got the 2 other techs. Took the three of them half an hour to corral it. Service was above and beyond. Impressed that as they have grown the quality has not diminished. Thank you so much!
Provider response
Joann, thank you for the review and for being a loyal client!

Honestly Travis was terrific. He is professional, inspected our attic to find the foul odor first thing when he came out. When he and his partner came out to animal proof the whole house they were right on time and finished up in a timely manner. The price was very reasonable and feel confident they took care of our mouse problem and stopped anything else from getting in! Give Wingman a 5!!
Provider response
Our team agrees that Travis is the highest level of professional in the wildlife control field. He exhibits every trait that Wingman values. Thank you for the kind words and we will pass them on!

I highly recommend Wingman Pest Control. We were having some issues with wasps and hornets and they were able to get us in the next day. They came out and walked me through the whole process and were available the next day when I had some additional questions. Then they took their customer service to the next level and reached back out to me a week later to make sure I was still satisfied with their service, which I was.
Provider response
We believe in thorough communication and I’m glad our team executed that. Thank you for the wonderful review!
Karen Thomas
We contacted Wingman Pest Control for potential raccoons in our attic. Ryan came out to assess the situation and determined indeed it was raccoons. A trap and camera was set to watch the activity. Once there was no longer any activity the access point was closed off. Ryan was great to work with. He keep us well informed. And the best part is having a one year warranty and piece of mind should they return.
Provider response
Thank you for the kind review! It’s was our pleasure solving your wildlife issues.
Darlene Domanik
They always respond promptly, provide the service asap, and eliminate the problem. They are also very polite, professional and friendly. They have successfully eliminated an ant infestation, bees/wasps and (eek) about 400 bats from my attic. They are my "go to".
Provider response
Your kind words are appreciated and will be passed on to the team. Thank you for being a great customer as well!

My brother and I both had bird related issues. One a woodpecker pecked 2 holes that went through the wood siding and a different type of bird found its perfect spot for nesting. Notice I said “its” perfect spot. The other was a hole that the birds found enticing under the gutter. At both houses all the issues were on the second story. From our first communication with Ruthie at the Wingman office to conclusion, this was an excellent experience. Matt came out and assessed the situation, we were given the estimate, signed on the spot and he was able to get to us within a day or two. Matt was superb. He was knowledgeable and personable. First caging the entrance, but allowing a way for any feathered friends to exit. He did an outstanding job on both houses in terms of patching the holes. I was very impressed with this encounter from start to finish. I absolutely recommend Wingman and I will not hesitate to call them for any future bird or rodent creatures.
Provider response
Your compliments to the team mean a lot to us. Thanks you for being an amazing client as well!

Wingman Pest Control is the BEST! We had them address an issue with squirrels in our house and garage. They came out immediately, thoroughly assessed the situation, made recommendations and performed the work in a timely fashion with absolute professionalism. They kept in good communication during the entire process and are super nice e guys to boot. I highly recommend this business!

Great customer service from Ryan! He's very helpful and goes above and beyond. I would recommend this company to anyone experiencing any pest issues. Wingman did work for my home in 2023 and helped me out with a smaller issue today! Very grateful. 😁

Wingmans responded quickly to our request for a rodent inspection after we identified mice in our garage. The inspection was incredibly thorough and the inspector’s report was detailed with photos as well as next steps for prevention. Once the preventive repairs were made to our home and garage, our issue with the mice was immediately resolved. Additionally, the servicemen who took care of our property were knowledgable, effectively communicated the problem and solutions, and completed services within the time frame they had planned. I can’t recommend enough this group’s professionalism and effectiveness - especially when compared with larger corporate pest companies.
Provider response
Ben,<br>We were all touched by the details in your review. Thank you for acknowledging our team’s hard work!<br>
Roch Tolinski
Wingman has done a great job for us! First of all, they bat-proofed our house, then we contracted them for insects and our earwigs and spiders have virtually disappeared! Rob even found a bees nest in our landscaping which he immediately took care of. Highly recommended!
Provider response
Wow, thank you for the detailed review and for trusting us with protecting your home from pests!
Joanne McGehee
Wingman is a great company! We would recommend them to anyone needing a professional and knowledgeable company to remove mice/bats. All their staff are so pleasant to work with and happy to explain everything in complete detail. I rate them A+
Provider response
Joanne, thank you so much for the kind words. It really boosts everyone’s morale at the office to know their hard work is being recognized and appreciated.

The lady who answers the phone sounded like I woke here up from a nap. They want you to give a credit card just to make a appointment . Before any work is done. I must be old school I pay after job is completed. If I am wrong she should have explained better.
Provider response
Be Kind - We apologize if our billing method wasn't clearly explained. We handle all billing online through our office or through a secure link using our portal. The main reason for this is so our technicians don't have to collect checks or enter clients' credit card information in the field. This greatly reduces any hiccups in the payment process on both ends.<br><br>Our standard practice is to have our inspection periods be pre-paid so that it guarantees your timeslot on our schedule. Any major exclusion work that needs to be completed thereafter does not get charged prior to us coming out. Once it is completed, we then charge the card on file at the end of the day.<br><br>As a business, we are never complacent and are always evolving. We've tried and tested different methods in the past, and this has proven to be the most transparent and foolproof way of handling billing.

They came out early fall and supposedly got rid of squirrels and sealed entry points. I hear squirrels. I call to set up a visit for which they give 3 hour windows during business hours. No call no show the first time. They admit they contacted the wrong person. Second time they cancel due to weather. It's beautiful out. They say they are booking yet another two weeks out...so now I'm looking at 6 weeks since I first called. I ask to speak to a manager Mat). He repeatedly interrupts me, talking over me while I am attempting to give him the full story so he can understand why I am asking to be seen before two weeks (they cancelled twice on me already). I would think they would want to make it right, but instead, he hung up. The worst possible communication from a company and still squirrels in my attic. UPDATE: Your response is a straight up lie. No one is required to go on the roof to see if there are squirrels in the attic, and you do not seal anything until after the squirrels are trapped. That's what you did last season. I asked Matt 3 times to stop talking over me so I could explain the issues of me taking days off everytime, and that they did not need to go on the roof today but they could go in the attic and set the trap at least. He continued to speak over and said I should "call back when you calm down", then hung up on me. I am not happy that's true, but I did not speak inappropriately. This is a couple people trying to cover up how they mistreated a customer. It is the epitome of misogyny and bad business.
Provider response
Candice – Our records indicate that we performed sealing work for the home end of April and trapping through early May. We successfully caught one squirrel, and with no further activity on our camera feed, we removed the traps and sealed the entry point which is our standard trapping protocol.<br><br>Due to the recent harsh weather here in Michigan, we have had to reschedule many visits to customers for the safety of our employees, and nothing supersedes that. We cannot perform a proper inspection without access to the roof which is 90% of where wildlife gains access to home. Because of this (and especially during this time of the year), we are extremely diligent about explaining that our scheduled visits are weather pending.<br><br>Unfortunately, sunshine during the winter does not immediately equate to workable, safe roof conditions. With the rain, snow, and ice, we reached out to your landlord who is our main point of contact on file to let them know - we apologize if this wasn’t relayed further.<br><br>After reviewing our phone conversation, it is clear that we tried to communicate this and the phone went silent. We are not sure if the connection was dropped, but we hadn’t heard a response for a while before ending the call on our end. We are in contact with your landlord and awaiting confirmation through them. Next week looks more promising for our safety and the success of finding where squirrels may have made their way back into the home.

They want to to give payment information before they will secure an appointment... They say they will not charge the card until service is performed, but how can you trust that statement??? Smells like a scam.
Steve Smith
We have a black ant problem. Wingman came out mid march to provide the remediation which cost $190.00. (I chose the one time application). It did not work and we have the same ant problem if not a worse one now. I called the company and they want me to pay almost $800 for their "premium" service. So needless to say I wont be using Wingman moving forward. Extremely disappointed with this as I just wasted $190.00
Provider response
Steve - Thanks for your feedback.<br><br>When discussing our options between a one-time service or our Pest Defender (our year-round service with free call backs), we make very clear verbally that one-time services might not handle the situation at hand. Most of the time one-time treatments knock down the problem, which is why we offer one-times as a choice, but sometimes it doesn't. We know this can be absolutely frustrating. Choices from there would be a return visit at a reduced price, or put that initial charge toward our Pest Defender and continue services for free until the problem is solved.<br><br>We never want to leave a bad taste in peoples' mouths, which is why we refunded you the service fee. If you want to take another stab at it, let us know. We've never failed at handling a home's pest problem with our Pest Defender.
Emily Botica
We have yellow jackets in our bathroom vent that are now coming into the home. When I called they said that if I paid for a one-time service there was no guarantee they’d get rid of the problem. The only way I’d get a guarantee was if I paid for their yearly service. I didn’t want the yearly service so I opted for the one-time service. I needed someone right away since they were coming into the house. They came that day. That is why I gave them 2 stars. The guy was here for less than 5 minutes and didn’t even get up on the ladder to assess the problem. He simply sprayed 2 different powders and charged us $239. Needless to say they’re not gone and coming into the house regularly.
Provider response
Emily - In past responses to reviews, we touch on how communication is so crucial and this situation is a testament to that. Maybe we didn't communicate the expectations of an interior nest clearly enough. Zack said he only spoke with your husband, so maybe some information was lost in translation. Whatever the case may be, what you're seeing is normal.<br><br>We spell out everything in our service report that was emailed to you. In the document, you will find that Zack used a dust and a liquid treatment. We can apply these from a distance with our tools. The liquid product we used is a neuro-blocker and can affect wasps' motor functions - this is why some make their way inside (thankfully, they're docile after being treated and can easily be vacuumed up). You will also find a timeline in our expectations section:<br><br>"After treatments have been performed, expect 3 to 5 days for wasp population to reduce. Pests that emerge on the interior will perish as they’ve gone through our treatment zone. It is typical to see wasp activity 7-14 days after initial population has been addressed (these are emerging populations hatching from the nesting site). These wasps have already gone through a treatment upon emergence. Products are not intended or formulated to take effect immediately to allow it to transfer between insects. Products applied will stay active for upwards of 90 days after treatment."<br><br>We know finding wasps inside is not fun. We ask that you give it some more time. If another visit is important to you, we'd be happy to put the $239 toward the year-round pest control for the home. If interested, let us know.

The guy (Ryan) from WPC that came out for the evaluation was great. Everything he said we needed, I understood. But I felt there were things that didnt add up. First being the extreme cost. ($5014.) Especially seeing that almost all the crack caulking had been done by another company (for bats)a few years ago and your guy said it was still in good shape , but WPC wanted over $1700.00 just to do that. I am confused why a company that everyone is giving 5 stars in their ratings, would only backup their work for 1 year especially at the prices they charge. It sounds like people believe in them more then they believe in themselves. I would love to use their service if they could make it more cost effective for me.
Provider response
Dannie - Thank you for your feedback. To provide more insight to a few of your points:<br><br>1. We understand that pricing for exclusion jobs can seem high, especially when it involves removing animals as small as bats or mice. Smaller animals, unfortunately, need more gaps addressed, which can lead to more labor and material. To help alleviate the cost for clients, we offer interest-free 12-24 month financing.<br>2. Our standard price includes a 12-month warranty and we sell additional years of warranty starting out as low as $29 per month (depending on size of home).<br>3. We do weekly clean-up jobs for our competitors who never return to clients to fix problems, despite offering a 5-10 year warranty. A warranty is only as good as the company who backs it up. You had us out after a previous company worked on your home.<br><br>We trust our work. We choose more expensive products that shift when homes shift and settle - cheaper products can break and allow reentry. We use metal instead of cheap expanding foam (which can be easily chewed and also holds moisture that can rot wood). We focus a lot of effort on aesthetics. Lastly, we honor our warranty.<br><br>There are so many differences between pest control companies. We won't speak for our clients, but we feel their reviews speak loudly about how we're different.<br><br>If you have any further questions, feel free to touch base: (810) 923-3364. Thanks again.
David Mayers
The inspection/quote was very thorough. I learned a lot and never felt pressured to spend more money (I appreciate this a lot!) I was told my problem with bats is not urgent and can be put off a few years until after I get a roof replacement, otherwise the new roof will negate the anti-pest measures done today. However, i was quoted $9000 to plug the holes in my attic to prevent bat entry. After getting other quotes, I learned this price is absurd. The inspector was polite and respectful which earns the company 2 stars, but i don't appreciate spending around $150 for a quote then being quoted a ridiculous price.
Provider response
David – Thank you for your feedback about our inspector and wildlife inspections.<br><br>Our main focus is the pest at hand, but we do like to let people know other non-pest-related situations that may need addressing (in your case, a detached bathroom pipe in the attic). In the past, we’ve let people know radon pipes weren’t venting properly, water was damaging fascia boards, and bathroom vents were broken in attics. On average, our inspections run about 1.5-2 hours in length, and yours exceeded 2.5 hours. The initial inspection price covers having us out to perform that.<br><br>During inspections, we confirm what species need to be removed, and then what areas need to be sealed to prevent them from coming back - some homes need more attention than others. Your home had more areas to seal than average, which requires more labor (Couple this with also having to fix another company’s failed prior attempt on your home).<br><br>We understand that complete exclusion to a home can be more expensive than people think to get rid of small animals like mice or bats. Unfortunately, their size means we have even smaller gaps to look for and seal. To alleviate this, we do offer interest-free monthly payment plans that can be spread over multiple years.<br><br>If you read through our reviews, you’ll find multiple people that know someone or have had failed work done to their home. We do not fail. We use higher quality materials and train our employees to do quality work. This may cost more, but we solve the problem the first and only time.
Amy Braun
When we had a raccoon in our cantilevered space, we knew we needed someone with a quality camera and equipment to verify the situation. Is it still up there? Are their babies? Are there holes going from that space into other walls? We described the situation on the phone, and they sent someone with a ladder, a flashlight, and cell phone, and that was their idea of “inspection.” They could see no more than we could on an initial inspection, but they had a YouTube video of raccoons to see if babies would call back. What if babies were dead? They couldn’t do any verification, because they didn’t have the right equipment, but they could certainly charge us $700 to try to trap something that wasn’t there any more. The service person was pleasant, but we cannot recommend this service.
Provider response
Amy – Thank you for your feedback.<br><br>We have all equipment you’re alluding to: borescopes, FLIR cameras, drones, motion-activated cameras. With that being said, there’s a time and place for each.<br><br>For your situation specifically, the raccoon’s only entrance that was found during our inspection was your cantilever gap. Matt also went into your attic space and saw no evidence of raccoon sign (feces, pathways in insulation, babies calling back). Even if sign was seen elsewhere, raccoons come and go from homes every day and would have had to use that cantilever gap to enter or leave.<br><br>We use a method called Positive Set Trapping. We set live traps directly over openings or burrows so that the only way in/out is through us. Furthermore, we set 24hr motion-activated cameras to monitor the traps and saw no activity of the target animal during the entirety of our trapping duration. This method is the only way to make sure that we’re not going to lock anything in after closing the opening.<br><br>Our website has a pretty cool video of this in action: https://wingmanpest.com/wildlife/wildlife-removal-info/raccoons/<br><br>We use this method with every animal we deal with and have never locked an animal in a home. Obviously, promising the capture of any animal is never guaranteed because of possible external variables, but if nothing is caught, we can still confirm that nothing is inside. If we were to have caught a raccoon, we would have been able to see if it was male or female and if she was lactating or not.<br><br>So in short, we apologize that you felt that this service should have been more extravagant. Some companies do like to brandish these fancy tools, even if it’s just for show. We’ve been in the industry a long time, we’re honest with our work, and would never do this unless it’s absolutely needed.
