The Yard Gard - Organic Tick & Mosquito Control

I asked what the ingredients is that they are spraying in my yard and they would not tell me the entire list. Beware folks.

The Yard Gard is the real deal. No gimmicks, no harsh chemicals, just a solid, reliable way to keep pests out of my yard. I have been using The Yard Gard for a few years now. I have not had ticks, fleas or mosquitoes in my yard. They also spray for spiders and ants and I no longer have a problem with them coming in my house. A great local company, I recommend to everyone I can. They are amazing to work with. John and his team are very responsive, professional, courteous and prompt. I own dogs and to protect them I use The Yard Gard for organic tick and mosquito control on a regular basis. My mother as well as my brother also use their services for the same reasons. I have yet to find a tick on one of my dogs or myself. I highly recommend this company. It is also nice to know you are using a local small business.

One star in this case indicates that I had a bad experience with this business. As a common courtesy, a phone call or an email would have been great to indicate service renewal. Once on location, ringing the doorbell is also a good option. None of that happened. The verbiage in the invoice is very vague and ambiguous, making it easy to miss.When we called to discuss the issue, Beth was rude and used threats both times. I don't think that's how a business should treat repeat customers but it might be just me. It's too bad because John was actually great and we used (and liked) their services for the previous two seasons.

I no longer have to worry about tick and mosquito and the treatments leave the yard smelling great. Amazingly friendly company, each member of the team goes out of their way to make you feel like you are their only customer

Seems like great people to work with and always did a great job. The only negative is the spray used works great for ticks but doesn’t last long enough to keep mosquitoes away until next visit.

Very impressive. We hired John to treat our yard in Brewster, which abuts both woods and a bog. We hired him because of his organic approach to tick and mosquito control; we don't trust that the synthetic chemicals used by other companies are safe for us and our child. Throughout the summer we noticed a drastic reduction in the number of ticks found in our yard (after his first treatment, we found ZERO), and in our family this will be known as the "year of very few mosquitoes." The yard smells nice after he sprays it; the critters and "friendly" insects don't seem to care what he sprays; we enjoyed a comfortable season in our yard. I've already hired him again for next year. Highly recommended!
