They charged for a service that was never done. It seems the guy didn't feel like working that day, he came parked his van in front of my house for 2 minutes than left without even stepping out of his van. The next day they charged me for the service. When I called to complain they didn't show any interest. That's their reputation and customer service... Luckily I have this recorded on my cameras and I'm disputing this charge. Can't recommend this company.

My experience with this company was completely unacceptable. A technician was scheduled to service my home, but my security footage shows he arrived, sat in his car for about 2 minutes and then drove away without doing anything. Despite that, I was still charged as if a full service had been completed. When I called the company and explained exactly what happened — including telling them I had video evidence — they showed zero accountability. They didn’t apologize, didn’t investigate, and didn’t seem to care that I was being billed for a service that was never performed. No customer should have to fight just to be treated honestly. After this experience, I absolutely would not recommend this company. If this is how they handle customers and “service,” it’s simply not worth the risk or the frustration.

If they try to tell you its 199 dollars to cancel and didnt warn you about this when you signed up just contact the better business bureau they will help you resolve the issue. Aptive is not a good company and their custome service is appalling. I closed my whole bank account to avoid paying them until I threatened them with the BBB then they were immediately nicer.

Do not use Aptive!! This company tricks people into signing up for their service and then charges their credit card every month for nothing. I just discovered this morning my wife was tricked into signing up back in May, by a door-to-door sales rep (scammer) named Evan Hawthorne. The company is definitely very sneaky, taking business away from local providers. Let’s shut them down, and bring the business back to local companies. A technician showed up this morning (nice guy) I asked him if I could speak with his boss and he didn’t know how to do that, he provided 800 number and I ended up talking with somebody in Africa, Who also had no way of connecting me to the actual company. The whole thing is a scam, apparently headquartered in Provo Utah. I’m sure after I post this review, there will be a pleasant, apologetic reply submitted……….but that too is not real, either ai generated or just some remote marketing service they hired to handle complaint reviews. Please take a couple minutes to spread the word. We need to shut down predatory companies like Aptive. Use your local pest control provider. Aptive has no accountability, no credibility, who know what poison they may be spraying. Cancel your Aptive account and contact your credit card company to dispute all charges. Let’s shut them down! The worst company that i had to deal with.they are trying to make money lying costumers and charging 200$ for cancelation fee.never ever let them to do door to door servise.Denzel came to my door and told me he will do one time servise for 10$ and i can deside if i would to work with them or not.i wish i read all the reviews before saying yes to him.after that i tried to reach aptive costumer servise and to the phone number that Denzel gave me.they ignored every call.i tried to explain them that i was not agree for the year agreement it was only for one time.the only answer i get was we can cancel but you have to pay 199$. Save your sanity and work with another company.

They tricked my Mother in to a $20 dollar lawn treatment. She asked them multiple times to confirm she wasnt going to sign up for any membership they told her no. That was a lie, they turned around and charge her for a membership. When she tried to cancel they charged her $200 cancelation fee. She worked with her bank and BBB to get it back. Then they charged her account again. She is an older women who lives in a trailer park. I find it disturbing they are trying to take advantage of her. She has called me crying multiple times over this, she is older and doesnt need the stress. Shame on you.

I would absolutely not recommend aptive… I would absolutely not recommend aptive to anyone. The first visit was barely sprayed if you can even say that. I don’t believe they even came into my yard. (I have a shepherd who is very aware of what’s happening, everyone was home - she never barked once- if someone was actually in my yard she would have went wild) I was also told all the products were non toxic when the salesman was selling me On the service - found out later that is absolutely not true. Awful product- they have to keep coming back and spraying . I was with another company for 6 years and never had issues - Switched to aptive because of a cunning sales man and have had issues ever since. Absolutely disgusted with the way the sales man sold me on a complete lie

This company is a scam. I have been of on workers comp so I requested a pause in service until I am back to work. In April 2025 the representative said they would. In September 2025, I called to request a treatment because we had bees nest. I also requested a general application but specifically said I wanted keep service on pause. Today, they showed up unannounced for an application. I called to reiterate that we have this on pause and I asked for a refund. He stated that I requested service in April, which BS! I then asked to cancel so they transferred me to a manager. I am still on hold for over an hour. More to come...

DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY" This company is the biggest scam company around. We had an “uninvited” door to door sales person (not authorized to do this through our town) sell us on a “One Time” pest control of our property. We cancelled 3 days later (to cancel before the 5 day limit)…but this cancellation was never processed. This was admitted by a representative who we talked to months later. We called because we received a collection notice from non-payment for months of service. I called to explain, they said the cancellation was never processed and we continued the service. I said; nobody was home that is actually TRESSPASSING!

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY If I could give negative stars I would. This is my first time leaving a negative review for anyone. I’m not one to complain at all but this company even after I tried canceling my account via email it was ignored and I was charged twice after. I decided to cancel because although I would tell them where I want services inside it would never get done. They would come do the outside and leave. Twice now I inquired about it and was ignored. I was paying full price for services they were only half doing. They refused to refund the money. Okay I dropped it. Now here we are a month later and I got a letter that I’m being charged a fee and doesn’t even say why when I call it’s a cancellation fee that I was never told I would have. I was constantly asking if I was going to get anymore charges and I was told no. And now I’m told “maybe they misunderstood you”. This is all fraud. Do not book with this company. And also their customer service needs serious work, when I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told “they are only going to tell you the same thing” would not recommend this fraud of a company.

They tie you to a contract, make you pay out of it and charge you for services that they never completed. they don't show up, they continuously change service dates with no notice, and they "treat" your property in under 5min. customer service sucks and promises you what you as a customer want to hear but don't deliver anything. do not waste your time or money on this company.

Scammers, they must know that they won’t be successful with many people so they are not up front with the expensive $200 cancellation fee before 24 months with them. Of course it is in a long contract that most people do not have the time to read all the terms, so they will take advantage! Of course their services did not help my mothers pest control because of their five minutes of “spraying”. I suggest to get your moneys worth at other pest control companies and for the company to stop taking advantage of people!

Needed a pest company for mice in the attic, salesman sold me a load of goods and then received no services paid for 2 months received nothing and they refused to refund me the money it’s a total scam!

This company was hired to take care of mice in our house. The people who came were kind, but all they did was hand us two traps the first time and four traps the second time. (They may have sprayed.) My husband and I are having to do all the work of trying to trap the mice (which we have already been trying on our own for months). Not quite sure of the advantage of hiring this company.

Aptive sprayed my ripened blackberry bush after I specifically asked them not to. They even marked the service “completed” before it was done. When I confronted the tech, she yelled at me — and when I complained to the manager, he sided with her instead of addressing the issue. Totally unprofessional and careless.

Hired them to remove a wasp nest. They destroyed it but left a mess of the wasp nest all over the yard. They didn't remove anything, just left a mess. Would not recommend.
