I paid for the initial visit fee of over $200 and signed up for monthly service after speaking extensively to a rep to get set up. I was told Wasps etc would be covered under the cost that was agreed upon. I also requested enclosed bait box mouse traps. I could not be home so my adult son was here. Craig told my adult son that Wasps will cost extra. He set a couple cheap wooden mouse traps that I could have gotten from the dollar store if that is what I wanted. I have canceled my card and will not be recommending orkin to anyone.

I scheduled an appointment with Orkin on 7/19. The appointment was for 7/28. Nobody from Orkin ever showed up, or called to tell me they weren’t coming. I called customer service that night and the following day I received email and phone call from Bangor. The person who was supposed to come do my service was now on vacation and told them we spoke and I declined the service. Which never happened. The person I spoke with on the phone said they would try to see if the manager could come out the same week of the missed appointment, and if they couldn’t, they would schedule a new appointment for 8/5. Well 2 days ago I got an email saying that Orkin would arrive within 2 hours of 3:40pm, but yet again NOBODY SHOWED UP OR CALLED. I sent an email to them again and was told this morning that I canceled my account with Orkin yesterday morning. I never called Orkin to cancel anything! They told me the tech would be calling me due to a misunderstanding, and I have yet to receive a phone call. At this point I will take my business somewhere that’s actually reliable.
I Used them before to spray one of my rental homes, loved the service, everything went excellent. 10 out of 10, Recently tried to use them for another property and you wouldn't do it unless I did a silly annual contract which makes no sense for a rental unit. So disappointing thar companies have become so anti customer.

The Bangor branch is absolutely horrible. They continuously auto cancel/reschedule services without consulting me when I have to be on site to let the tech inside my home. This causes me to have to change my work schedule multiple times to work around Orkin's auto re-scheduling. When I attempt to request a date/time that works better for me (after they've auto rescheduled), there are never any dates open within month and the current appt must be kept per contract. Tech's have not shown up for scheduled services after I've taken time off work to be home. Orkin never bothers to notify me that the tech is not going to be able to make it to the appointment and they do not follow-up to reschedule. The customer service is atrocious. The tech's themselves are generally polite and knowledgeable. However, I am counting down the days until I can finally be released from this overpriced and useless contract. I recommend going to a company that services their customers on time. Or, just setting your own glue traps versus paying a company $1,200 per year to do the same thing. Orkin is utterly useless and causes more stress than anything else.

Extremely Disappointed with Service and Lack of Accountability I am extremely disappointed with the service. We signed a contract for regular pest control services, and for the first two months, everything seemed fine. However, after that, or service tech ended up leaving or got fired, and since then, we've been left in the lurch. Despite having already paid for the service, the company now tells us that they don't have anyone available in our area. How can a company just back out of a contract like this? It's unacceptable to take our money and then leave us without the services we were promised. We’ve tried to resolve this issue by speaking with a supervisor, but the company still hasn't taken any meaningful steps to address the situation. It’s clear that customer satisfaction and honoring contracts are not priorities for this company. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to think twice. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Definitely not worth the price, the initial spray kept bugs out for at least 2 weeks when I called to schedule they couldn’t follow up for another month. which is fine, but from the time he pulled out his spray bottle walked around the house and packed up to leave was a total of 5 minutes. He brisked walked our 2000 sqft one floor house in less than five minutes, and not surprisingly bugs were back the next day. My most recent service has no indication anyone showed up besides an Orkin sticker on my lawn. Honestly really disappointed in service

To my disappointment my annual services with Orkin are officially canceled. I don’t know what happened to them, but their back to back cancellations for my monthly service is a constant no show, no call, no email. After speaking to Brittney on Tuesday and requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was told Dan would be calling me shortly. It’s been 48 hours and no one called. They start off good and then there’s no service or communication.

Made an appointment for a Saturday morning between eight and 10 and they were a no-show. Tried calling them multiple times for a week now and have gotten no response. Left multiple messages. This company in the Bangor. Main area is absolutely atrocious. I do not understand how company stays in business with no-shows and no callbacks, you cannot get a live person on the phone. It just goes straight to leave a message not a business.

Difficulty in arranging appointments and getting follow-up calls. Used Orkin in 2023 and had superb service. In 2024 the team has changed and it has been a struggle. Posting this after Orkin did not show up for an arranged service. Would like to turn this into a 5-star review with a change of approach from the supplier.

For regular maintenance they are fine but if you have any issue they never have technicians available to support. I was given an appt two weeks out to deal with a current pest issue. To me that is unacceptable for the amount they charge and the service they commit to when taking your business.
I am now re-changing my review and we are now at one star. I'd say don't use this service, but you can't even if you want to. They literally have no staff in Bangor as of my last call. I still have not received service since my last review (2 months ago). I've had 2 no shows since then. I've been escalated to management twice and never been called back. I found out they had pre-charged my card and I have now demanded my money back. And today, I was told that they are now hiring someone and might be able to show up in September, which is a month from now. But again, I only found out because I've been calling every day trying to get someone to tell me what's going on. Well, I've never done this, but I'm updating my rating after a management change from a five to two star. I have been calling Orkin for a month now to try to get carpenter ants treated at my house. The first appointment they canceled day of via text message, the second one they no showed and then never called to reschedule. I called everyday for a week and every time was told by customer service that they couldn't reach the service department and the service department would call me back to reschedule. I never received a call and had to keep calling. Finally I was escalated to the regional manager who was supposed to call me back in 48 hours. 4 days later, and I have still not received a call. Finally got service today but not during my window. I called around halfway through the 2-hour window because I hadn't heard anything from them and was told that my service person had taken on additional people before me and would not be showing up until 3 hours after my window. I don't know what happened to this company but I have never seen a bigger transition for the bad in such a short period of time. For reference, here's my old review. We love our Orkin team. They're reliable, helpful and so friendly. They do a really good job communicating when they're coming for service, which makes my life easy. It's one less thing to worry about.
