I had a great experience working with this team. Allison, the construction coordinator, did an excellent job keeping everything organized and on schedule. Communication was clear and the coordination throughout the project was smooth and professional. Brad, the estimator and project manager, was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and made sure everything was handled properly from start to finish. I was hired to complete a Venetian plaster fireplace for one of their clients, and we ended up having to completely redo the existing fireplace. The level of coordination and scheduling between everyone involved was outstanding, which made the whole process run very efficiently. McCue was very prompt addressing every question or request I had and everyone involved was professional. It was a pleasure working with a responsive company who fixed and replaced roofing, gutters, French drains, electrical, lighting, fans, plumbing, lanai screening, and windows, all to our satisfaction. Mitch and his team are amazing! We had a pergola, that was built by another company, that started to fall apart, and they wouldn't stand behind their work. Mitch McCue to the rescue! He quickly made a plan for a replacement, and did an excellent job and provided a structure far superior! His team are true craftsmen. Polite, Professional, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure that we were happy thru the entire process! They built us a beautiful cabana, and created a beautiful and usable outdoor space!

6 months ago, I decided to do a total interior renovation of my 1991 built home. Thanks to McCue Home Services and their hard working contractors, I feel like I'm living in a new home! It has been a pleasure taking on this big project with McCue. Everything from communication to timeline was efficient. During the remodeling, there were unexpected discoveries but McCue's team was able to quickly pivot and recommend how to fix it. It was a pleasure working with McCue Home Services. I broke down in front of their shop. They came out and made sure I was okay, and even helped get the camper trailer to my house down the road. Mitch didn’t have to help—but did, without hesitation. That kind of integrity and kindness speaks volumes about how they run their business. If they treat strangers this well, imagine how they treat their actual clients. When I need any construction work done, I’ll be calling them without a second thought. Highly recommend this local company for their professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for people.

We have several rental properties that we had home services to help with some repairs. We were able to use them for our air-conditioning needs & pest-control & several problems we had with tenant repairs. They were professional and honest. We have used Other handymen the past but Have had great results with MCCue If they find a problem they are professional and fix it the right way. We found mold in one repair job. While several other repair guys just said it was not a problem McCue did the right thing & we had the mold remediated & repaired even though it delayed things we r glad we had things done right instead of fast !! My house was actually hit by a car and I was referred to Home Servuces by McCue. This was an insurance claim and McCue was paid a large amount of money to fix my house. I had to have a utility room totally rebuilt, which was where the washer are dryer are in use. This is a very old house and I trusted McCue to make alk the repairs. Once the room was finished I was told the washer and dryer (which were newer ones at this time) were not working correctly. I reached out to McCue and I was told they rebuilt the room exactly as it was before the accident. Well like I said it is a very old house, McCue told me the wiring was cloth wiring and not safe, but this is what was there before?? I think this is very unethical and not right. Had McCue informed me of the bad wiring during the rebuilding I could have reached out to the insurance company again and explained the electrical needed to be rebuilt up to code, but McCue did not, they informed me after the utility room was already finished, I had to get another electrican out there to fix the wiring. Why would a contractor ever do something so unethical and put bad dangerous wiring back in? It should have been done right and up to code the first time. I have reached out many, many times and they do not respond back and the room is still not finished as there needs to be a hole in the wall where the washing machine water goes out and I am connecting to drainfields. There is more to this matter as payments, etc, and they ignored my right to privacy and shared all my information with property manager as they are friends. So McCue got there big check and I am still having to have another contractor out there to help with the washing machine issue. I would never recommend Home Services by McCue, sure Mitch seems like a nice guy, but dishonest

It has taken me about 2 years to have the courage to write this post. I was afraid of retaliation but I decided to exercise my freedom of speech. We hired Home Services by McCue to redo our kitchen. It was a disaster from the beginning: causing a flood in our home, taking much longer than promised/never finished, ruining our original hardwood floors, incorrectly installing countertops, breaking our stove, billing us for work they never performed, and then sending harassing and threatening messages demanding money when we were still waiting for them to complete the project. It was so bad we had to contact the police. They then put a lien on our house and we have been in this legal battle for 2 years. When we then looked into reviews we found we weren't alone: - “This business over-promises and under-delivers.” - “charge you for jobs that they do not complete” - “Mitchell McCue believes he is accountable to no one” - “Deposited a large amount of my money in his account and then did not honor the deal nor did he pay back the amount he said he would” - “Worst experience…Mitch talks a great game. Can’t rely on his word or performance” - “Highly disappointed…DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY” - “good luck getting the job done on time or getting any kind of cooperation whatsoever from him” - “quality of work was VERY poor…very poorly run” - “Again I do not trust Mitch McCue and would never use his company again” - “Dealing with them was a constant nightmare” McCue is no stranger to the court system. This is what public record shows: - American Express currently (2023) pursuing McCue for $50,000 in relation to an unpaid >$100,000 credit card bill - McCue being sued (2023) by Ocean 14 Association Inc for >$40,000 for failure to provide agreed and paid-for work for the association - McCue was foreclosed on in 2013 - McCue was sued in 2008 for failing to split the proceeds from a joint venture If anyone else has had these kinds of experiences, I would be interested in helping you get your money back. Notable update: On Home Services by McCue's facebook, it boasts a BBB of "A+ Rating on BBB for 12 years!," unfortunately when checking BBB they are considered an A- and also are not BBB accredited with a total 3/5 rating. The reason they are not accredited is because there have already been 2 complaints filed against the business that were not resolved. He states that he had his work inspected and obtained a certificate of occupancy/completion. This is false. He never obtained the correct building permit. BUT, he did charge us for that permit. So, as vehemently as he denies, you're welcome to check public records for the facts.

I am not sure what happened to this company. I read all of the positive reviews before we hired them for a home remodel and am now wondering if the reviews were just from friends or family or AI generated. Before you read any further please realize that I have only left a handful of reviews in my life, but felt compelled to leave one for this. We received a lot of promises from McCue but the quality of the work was VERY poor, the workers hardly ever worked (and hung out in our driveway mostly) with zero over site by McCue, and the best part was that the work took 6 months longer than were we told. We must have exchanged 100 calls and texts in order to actually get this company to do their work, but in the end we are left with a barely functioning HVAC, construction waste everywhere, and uncaulked trim that is hanging sideways (not the look that we were going for). We were told when we initially started the job that this would be about an 8 week job ("we are over supply chain issues"). After 8 months of hearing about excuses as to why the job was not complete, we were through with them. We were told that the broken new HVAC (that they installed) was going to be replaced. In fact, McCue said that they installed a new unit because the initial new unit that they installed, did not work properly. After checking this out for myself, they in fact did NOT replace the unit as I was told. When I called him out of this, he said that he was then unsure if the unit was actually replaced and needed to check with an employee that he supposedly manages. I believe that this was a deliberate lie. This company promises way more that it can actually deliver and is very poorly ran. Do yourself a big favor and keep searching for someone else.

We used Home Services by McCue to do some remodeling in our new home prior to us moving in. Part of this included building a pergola with corugated roofing material over the porch going out to the backyard pool deck. It was not built correctly in the 1st place and leaked the 1st time it rained. I have been calling and emailing FOR 5 YEARS asking them to please fix it and all I get is lip service. I was hoping for integrity with this company as they were recommended to us and have done work for some of our other family members as well. The owner is "nice" but will not take responsibility for this poor construction thus we have a poorly built, ugly, leaky pergola to deal with. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend.

I never write reviews, but I was compelled to write a review for this one. When you talk to Mitch at first, he will be very friendly and cooperative as if he is the best pick to do the job. Once he gets the job, he starts acting up and is the polar opposite. When I call him, he says he is busy with other work and always in rush, and absolutely has no time to listen to what I am trying to say. Forget talking on the phone, he does not even reply to text messages, even after requesting him to at least reply to texts. Pretty sure he bites way more than what he can chew. All his office stuff is equally rude, and non-professionals. Dealing with them was a constant nightmare. He took a contract to paint my whole house and few other minor repair work and said it will be done in 8-10 days and ended up taking almost a month. And that too, I had to constantly bug him to get the job done. Especially for someone who charges premium compared to other handymans, this is absolutely not acceptable. Plus, doesn't even know how to lay a tile on top of an existing layer of tiles. First said he can attach the tile and later (after I pressed him to get the job done as promised) said it's not doable and left it unfixed. If he knew he couldn't fix the tile he should not have taken the job in the first place. On top of all that, he forced me to pay for "attempting" to fix the tile!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone giving him a job. He will only act nice up until he gets the contract signed from you. Once that's done, good luck getting the job done on time or getting any kind of cooperation whatsoever from him.

First time posting review amd for obvious reasons. I hired Home Services to replace an exterior door last year as rainwater had gotten in and saturated my carpet to the extent i had to replace it. I also asked him to replace and paint a railing spindle on my deck. This is a rental property so timing was everything. After missing the appt and then apologizing, i still proceeded with him and he came back days later to do the work. Upon telling me the job is complete, i could clearly see the spindle was not painted and with tenants arriving next day, i paid a painter to paint the spindle. With some shouting at me, Home Services reluctantly agreed to deduct my painting invoice from his fee. Now back to the door. Apparently i was told the exterior door is replaced and wont ever be an issue. A year later we recently had some heavy rains and my carpet is saturated yet again. The carpet cleaner fortunately dried the carpet without replacing but advised me that he found the problem...he can see daylight through about 6in of the bottom of door and rain is coming in there. I called Home Services to request they come inspect and fix their work. I have called twice now and no action to date despite being told Mitch will personally contact me. I dont think im being unfair...simply want people to fix their work. I see that as good business practice. Unfortunately Home Services doesnt believe the same.

This business over-promises and under-delivers. I entered a contract with them to repair damages by a former tenant. Their estimated time line for completion was 3 weeks after permitting, but after 3 months of delays and excuses I was advised by a construction lawyer to fire him by all communication methods available to me. This business did not meet industry standards for the interior paint job, tile work, or construction site protection and cleanliness. They stopped work after discovering mold, and refused to return my calls after I had the mold remediated. They collected over $12,000 and did not complete $12,000 worth of work. They caused additional damages to my home which will have to be repaired by another vendor. I demanded my money back, and they have made no attempts to communicate or resolve the issues. I have filed a complaint with Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the hopes that their license will be revoked and they are unable to prey on others as they have on me.
