It’s impossible to provide a valid review of a lawn treatment minutes after it’s been done, specifically if the homeowner is not even home when it’s done. In today’s case, I was home and the technician rang my doorbell. He introduced himself and spoke with me professionally. However, it is still impossible to rate the overall experience within minutes after treatment. I will say that he seemed to be here and gone much quicker than I believe anyone could fully treat a lawn my size, but aside from that, he was professional in all aspects.

Pioneer Pest Control in DeLand, Florida. One star. Paid two hundred fifty by check for inside spray, lawn, traps-then they tried to charge my card too. Took forever to get refunded. Now I only want the lawn sprayed, and they're asking eighty dollars each time since I won't give them my card again. Forty if I do. Total rip off.

Not happy with the results of services AT ALL. Have had problems since June and my yard looks horrible. Very upset. Will be canceling ALL of my services if there is not a solution. I changed my irrigation, I have done everything asked. Have been waiting for a supervisor to contact e for months now.

Just purchased a home with a termite bond with pioneer. The bond is active until 9/2026 I called today to inform them that I found termite damage ln my attic and need someone to come out and check for termites. Pioneer informed me that there is nobody available to come look at the house until 12/1/25. Today is 11/19/25. Very disappointed. If you require assistance urgently, this may not be the company for you. Even though a termite bond was paid for, which cost $1590, I will have to contact a different pest control company to assist me. Looks at these photos and ask yourself, would you be okay waiting 12 days for a company that charged you 1500$ to check for active termites?

This company doesn't even deserve one star. It's run by a family. What's the difference? Whoever runs it, it's a company that does terrible work but collects the money quickly. They ruined my backyard, I have to do pest control, ant bait, and weed control myself and I pay $150 every two months for nothing. I'm paying money and they're ruining my lawn. I cancelled this service, don't make the same mistake.

They came to do an irrigation inspection to quote moving some sprinkler heads that were behind my fence and not covering my lawn. The Tech left my irrigation controls off and did not notify me. I noticed this was the case 2 weeks later when my lawn was looking really dry. I asked them and they said they had notified me when they didn't. They will not take responsibility for mistakes and will leave you hanging with the damages to protect themselves.

We had a tech come out to just treat the grass. He proceeded to purposely step on our almost hatched duck eggs. I was begging him to stop yelling out of my camera and he just looked around to make sure no one was watching and proceeded. A quick search to see what kind of monster would do something like that showed a criminal history. If you value your belongings I would find a different company, there are plenty. If you’re in the NSB area that tech will be around your property, be careful.

I have consistently use this company for over a year now. They have killed thousands of dollars worth of Landscape and when new management started they promised this would not happen again, however, now my yard is dying and they are tons of Dollar weeds. I have been paying for service to keep it immaculate, but they are inconsistent with their arrival, do not call ahead, charge too much, and feel no sense of accountability. Do not use this company at all cost unless you want to throw money in a toilet.

We have been using pioneer since our home was built in 2019. Whenever we had issues they would always be there promptly. In the last 6 months our grass has all kinds of weeds. We recently had our backyard scraped and new saint Augustine installed. We called pioneer last week on Wednesday to get our new grass sprayed per the advice of our landscaper. The girl for pioneer said they were due out on Friday. Friday came and went and no one showed up. My wife tried calling Monday to see why they didn’t come Friday and got no answer. My wife called Tuesday, and pioneer said they will be there today and never showed. I don’t know what’s up with pioneer lately, but they have been horrible the last 6 months and many people in our community feel the same and have left pioneer and it looks like we will be next.

UPDATE: I don't write many reviews, but after this mornings phone call from Pioneer Pest telling my account is on hold for non payment of services. I had to hold back the laughter, look at these photos and ask me what services they withheld? So after 18 months, look how great my lawn looks...NOT! I had managers out here many times and always with the "This is terrible, I'll get someone on it right away"....months later, nothing! It must have been nothing but water if anything they put down, so now I am collecting all our bills and I'll go after that plus expenses! Save your money and the aggregation, do it yourself!
