Don’t deserve a 1 star Brian McMaster refused to call and speak to us. After about 20000 dollars our yard is trash. Senior abuse. We were told Provista grass was chinch resistant. Had to send a certified letter for him to respond. His technicians were a joke. One stood under a shade tree for at least 15-20 minutes on high s phone/earpods and left without treatment when I called I was told the truck had issues and 20 minutes he came back one was only treating the south side until I told his there was chinch on the other side too definitely Elder abuse then they said we owed the 45.00 FOR WHAT. Now as senior citizen we have to dig up and replace sod. DO NOT USE MCMASTER LAWN SEEVICE

When I hired McMaster I had two small areas in my lawn that were about one ft.² where there was chinch bugs. After six months, my lawn looks so much worse and the bugs have spread. My lawn is dying out and every time I would call them or check in with them they’d give me another story. After reviewing the reviews online here, it’s very clear that their quality of service seems to have diminished. Don’t waste your money like I did because something’s grossly wrong with their services. I feel scammed.

They scammed my parents. They got paid for weeds and sprinkler maintenance but they’d just come out and walk around and provide lip service. They’re very stupid though if grass is dying but the driveway is soaked and there’s weeds everywhere it’s obvious they’re not doing the service they were paid upfront for. Getting people to pay a year upfront is a great way to do business if you’re planning on scamming them. They did call their bank and get a refund

If you value your safety, and lawn health, please do not use McMaster.

I had good service from this company for several years. Unfortunately, over the last 6 months or so, the service has become unreliable. They come out on a regular basis to treat and fertilize my lawn. It has become overrun with weeks and although they sent a technician out several times between regular service, there has been no improvement. They finally sent a "manager" out two weeks ago and they were going to send another technician out to deal with the weed issue and also have someone perform an irrigation audit. I'm tired of waiting for them to make good on the service I pay for! My lawn is now in horrible condition and at this point I doubt it can be saved. Very. Disappointed!

Do not use McMaster!! Very unprofessional company!! If I could give them zero stars, I would!!. We used their services for a landscape enhancement of our front and backyard in August 2024. They quoted us 10k+. They were also doing our lawn and shrub care for $110 a month. During the backyard enhancement, they planted a tree that had a very flimsy stem and bent at initial planting (never asked for this particular tree). I called McMaster and spoke to Jessie McCormick (Customer Service Manager) and she sent Brad to strap it down. He got here annoyed and said they should have secured it at initial planting. It wasn’t well secured and it bent AGAIN. I let Jessie know by email and sent her a photo. Got no email response or phone call. Meanwhile, we get Hurricane Milton and the tree completely snaps. My husband puts it in the front yard to be picked up by the shrub removal after the hurricane. I kept calling McMaster to address the issue as THEY NEVER SECURED THE TREE PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE. Kept calling every week, spoke to the receptionist, she said that Brian McMaster would call me, no call. Would call again the following week. Spoke to Lauren McMaster, and asked her to please have Brian call me, she said she would put in the request. NOONE EVER CALLED. Instead they blocked mine and my husband’s phone number so we could no longer reach them. I HAVE NEVER EVER DEALT WITH A MORE UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY (IN MY CASE $10K+) AND NEVER ADDRESS ANY ISSUES OR CONCERNS THAT THE CLIENTS MAY HAVE!! BASICALLY THEIR BOTTOM LINE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!! DO NOT HIRE THEM! I just recently got a response from McMaster on my review. First, the choice of mulch was their mistake, I never chose that mulch. I had told Jessie wood chips. Second, his reply stating that the tree was staked and then 6 weeks later it snapped during the hurricane, is a LIE. The truth is it bent AGAIN way before the hurricane, like my initial review states. I let Jessie know thru email and they did not address it so during the hurricane it snapped. If the small tree was no big deal as per McMaster’s reply, then he should have come out and replaced it but instead was happy to collect 10k+ and ignore my calls because, as I mentioned above, their bottom line is more import than customer satisfaction!! HEED MY WARNINGS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS BUSINESS!!!

I live at the apartments at Riverview at Grand Haven and McMaster’s was sent out to help us with a bug problem we were having. I struck up a conversation with the young man who was working and he stated his name was Tatum - very polite and professional. Since the first time he was sent out, the difference has been like night and day. It has been a while now and the issue still has not arose again, which I appreciate. I definitely recommend.

Do Not Use McMaster! Look at my grass!! They did nothing to prevent this! Cinch Bugs have taken over, while McMaster just took my money! Now, they will Not return our calls or our emails! So unprofessional. They cant keep a worker we noticed too. They missed an appointment, another guy shows up. Who didn't know anything about Chinch Bugs. Now if their treatment was correct, and they kept their appointment chances are we would not have loss our beautiful St Augistine Grass. They just keep repeating that we don't have enough water on our grass. Now we all know, we have had an abundance of rain and we have Irragation too. We have asked them to reimburse us. They won't even call us. So, yesterday we Hired DRAKE LAWN AND PEST COMPANY. very upsetting with Mcmaster!! We were your paying Customer for many years. Do not use McMaster I have posted on McMaster Facebook page, and I will continue to post on many other!! So you McMaster to BLOCK my Reviews on Facebook!

McMaster was great. I hired them to repair my irrigation system. Not only did they charge me only about 1/3 of what I was quoted elsewhere, they also went above and beyond what I asked of them. In addition to fixing the busted line, they helped me find optimal times to water and provided me some helpful general guidance on lawn care in this climate. Thanks McMaster!!

BEWARE: THIS COMPANY WILL BE GETTING. INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD BY THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE FOR DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES. LET ME EXPLAIN: I HIRED THEM TO DO LAWN AND PEST, DURING THE YEAR THEY SERVICED OUR YARD IT WAS ALWAYS BAD NEVER IMPROVING. FINALLY HAD THE MANAGER COME OUT AND HE REALIZED THAT THEIR TECH HAD NOT BEEN DOING HIS JOB!! THATS THE FIRST SCAM, THEN THEY BILLED ME $159 FOR A MONTH THAT THEY NEVER EVER SHOWED UP! I PAID IT SO THAT THEY DONT REPORT IT ON MY CREDIT, JUST GOT AN ALERT THAT THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS AND I NOW HAVE A DEROGATORY MARK ON MY SCORE!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM, IF YOU READ OLDER COMMENTS THEY DO THIS OFTEN! WELL THEY JUST DID IT TO THE WRONG ONE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

These people need to learn how to drive they almost hit me numerous times and then tried to back into me when we where at the light by the Circle K

I highly recommend McMasters Lawn & Pest Services! They have maintained our lawn service for a while now making our lawn the healthiest lawn on the street. I am the owner of Florida Lawnscape Services and they have transformed many of my customers yards from weed pits to becoming the healthiest yard on their street!! The staff at McMasters are amazing and the lawn technicians are the game changers!

Excellent people to deal with

Very unprofessional company. Called my mom, who is 76 years old, as a marketing call. They send a technician to provide a quote to fix the irrigation system. Tech provided a quote for $690. My mom declined it and got it fixed by another company for $150. They sent my mom an invoice for $100 for maintenance, which they didn't do. Then they turned the $100 collection over to American Profit Recovery collection agency that is hounding my mother. Support elderly people and DON'T USE THIS PREDITORY COMPANY.
