I had woodpeckers pecking holes in the Attic vent on the side of my house. An inspection was performed around the area along with of the opening and there was no opening into the attic. Deterrents were installed along the side of the home spaced around 6-8 feet apart. The holes were sealed over with a metal flashing to prevent future entry into the attic. The technician Brian Jones arrived on time, Was cordial and explained what he was going to do said how much it was going to cost $450.00. The metal flashing went across the bottom Inc. totally covered the holes!

We had a consultation with Aaron after finding some mouse droppings. The scheduling process was very easy and we received a prompt response after reaching out. Aaron was thorough and helpful in pointing out potential points of entry. Luckily, we were able to fix the issue on our own based on Aaron's suggestions. We would absolutely recommend Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control, and while we hope not to need them again, would call without hesitation if we do.

Downhill is an understatement for how quickly this company fell apart after Frankie left. Since November, the company’s customer service has become very rude, entitled, and virtually non existent. Their service techs have been replaced with some of the rudest, laziest pest control people I’ve ever had to deal with. I will say that I used to love this company when Frankie was a technician because he was the epitome of good service, but my company unfortunately had to go with another pest control company due to the lack of quality and service that this one has come to.

Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
We’re sorry you’re unhappy with the situation. Because you are the tenant and not the homeowner, we are not able to handle insurance matters directly with you. Any claim must be filed by the property owner with their homeowner’s insurance, or through your own rental insurance provider.

We have explained this process previously and cannot issue direct reimbursement outside of an insurance claim. Additionally, there is no evidence at this time that the damage you described was caused by our technician. If the homeowner or your insurance carrier submits a claim, we are fully prepared to provide all documentation and cooperate as needed.

We remain committed to fair and professional resolution through the appropriate insurance channels.

We did an inspection last year but did not find any issues. We would very much like to find out why 1 star was given. Please call our office: 970-330-3929. Thanks.
I can't believe this company gets any stars. Really? Don't show up for an appointment for quote, then send a invoice without even discussing the process or options. Will not be getting my business.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
Heidi,
Thank you for your review and we sincerely appreciate the feedback as it makes our company better. We strive to make all of our appointments on time and unfortunately, we failed to meet the scheduled time window. I know that our technician and office both called and tried getting ahold of you to notify you, but the communication failed, and we took the responsibility. The invoice you are referring to was only a quote and no work was completed, and the technician quoted based upon his notes. No work or charge was done on your account. If we can make this right, please let us know. We apologize for the inconvenience and for being late.
Thank you,
Brandon Ewals-Strain
I had several treatments from this company for a roach issue. Every time the tech came to complete treatment, I was told I have a very small case, and he didn't understand why the treatment was not treating the problem. After 6 months of treatment, I called to complain that we still had an issue with roaches. The person I contacted was very apologetic and offered to provide another treatment for free. I would have gone to another company had he not offered free treatments to fix the issue. I was then charged without my consent to the last credit card I used. When I called to report this, I was told they would look into it and call me back, which never happened. When I called back a month later, I was told that the owner would call, but of course, that never happened. I was never given a quote about how much the treatment would cost or follow-up costs, and they never fixed my problem, although they treated for over 9 months. I was accused of not wanting to pay for services when I complained that I was charged when they said it was complimentary because it was "their fault it didn't work." I have no problem paying for services and would never request free services.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
Melissa:
As a company we want to sincerely apologize for the unsatisfactory level of customer service you received as that is not what our philosophy towards service represents. After reviewing the account it all boils down to a lack of communication or understanding, and we take full responsibility for that. We greatly appreciate the feedback even though negative because it has shown us that we have room for improvement in our policies and procedures. If we were having issues with results it should have gotten to someone in leadership sooner and even more so with payment issues. Again we sincerely apologize and if there is anything we can further do to correct our mistakes please let us know immediately.
Apparently thinking out of the box is not possible with this company that has only one method of squirrel mitigation - traps and raking in the money for minimal effort. Our squirrel issue involves an area in our gazebo roof and adjoining area where it is too tight and sloped for a traditional one way trap to be installed. I was told there was only one other option, at the cost of $699 - set multiple traps in our yard in the hopes of catching those nesting in the gazebo roof. Where would the proof be that the offending critter(s) had been eradicated in that spot? We only need the offending critters eradicated and the access point sealed , but I was told there was nothing else that could be done! This is supposedly a "Pest Control" company but in our case it's just a company proposing to do a whole lot of nothing for a whole lot of money. The "inspector" spent a few minutes on a ladder to view the area where the hole was recently discovered by roofers and then gave me the single ridiculously expensive and totally unacceptable option.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
I’m sorry that our service philosophy didn’t meet your expectations. We understand it’s a chunk of change for the service but state law requires us to check the traps daily so that equals a lot of time, fuel and effort, plus that includes exclusion work. We were hopeful of using a one way door but the entry point doesn’t allow for it because we worry the baby squirrels wouldn’t be allowed to escape the door. I wish we could do more but nothing else suggested was legal as poison is not an option. -Brandon Ewals-Strain
I requested services for problem with rodents in vehicle (wire damage). Tech. arrived states there is nothing they can do for vehicle, charge me $50.00 knowing it was for a vehicle in the first place why did you come out? I could of handed my mailman $50.00 and received same outcome.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
Ron
Thank you for your honest feedback. We tried to contact you to address this issue as it was an oversight by our technician that never should have charged you the $50 inspection fee. Our apologies for this inconvenience and we share your feelings of frustration. Please contact our office so we can make it right with you.

Thanks,
Brandon
970-330-3929
Super nice company and do their job on time, but there are issues. We hired this company mainly to remove rabbits and rodent from our property but we wanted to do it humanely which is why we paid $850 for fixing a couple rabbit holes and take care of a couple rodent issues. Aaron - the serviceman - was super friendly, on-time and all that... however they did not remove rabbits humanely. He didn't even have a snake light to inspect inside their holes to make sure they were gone. While the approach was right i.e. plug one end and close the other with one-way trap, I'm not 100% they ensured that rabbits were gone. Now its on my conscience that we probably cemented a part of their family inside and killed by suffocating them. Same with rodents. They just used a cheap 50 cents traps to kill them inhumanely which is going to stay on my mind for a long time. When you charge so much more in the name of "humane removal of wildlife" but instead lie and do nothing remotely humane - you are a bad business and are running a scam. I do not recommend this company to anyone for anything.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
Raaj Ashtaputre
Thank you for the information you provided about the level of service you received with our company and we sincerely apologize that it did not meet your expectations from an animal humaneness standpoint. Our one-way door services for rabbits are paired with a monitor to determine the rabbits presence and if undisturbed for multiple days it is safe to conclude that there are no rabbits living under the porch/patio/concrete area. Snake cameras can sometimes be useful, but not as much as a monitor and I can say that from 17 years of experience trapping. As far as the use of snap traps, that is a humane form of euthanasia and it is designed to be an instantaneous death so the mouse in this case doesn't suffer. An inhumane technique would be the use of glue boards or glue pads where the mice starve to death. If you were looking for live trapping and relocation for mice I hope this was discussed with your technician Aaron prior to service. We are not big advocates of solving the problem this way because there have been numerous studies revolving around relocation and it can be inhumane to do so. For repeating mouse traps (live traps), mice can actually eat each other (cannibalism) for instance and second, there metabolizm is so high that they will perish quickly unless traps are checked rather quickly and third a trapped animal that is relocated doesn't know the area and thus in unfamiliar with the three keys to survival; food, shelter and water. This inturn can cause a slow painful death but not a lot of people associate this with relocation, because it makes them feel better. Again, this isn't coming from me, this is coming from scientists doing research. I hope this sheds some light on why our services are geared the way they are. If you would like to discuss it any further, give our office a call anytime.
I didn't use them as they have an $60 charge just to come out and look. But don't want to give bad star rating.
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
The $59 trip charge is to pay for the technician's time and travel to your location. This provides time for the technician to provide a detailed inspection so he can write a quote for service. The office should have provided you an estimated range over the phone and it is up to the technician based upon his inspection what the actual price should be. The $59 trip charge is credited towards your service if accepted. I am sorry that you were discouraged by the trip charge but we established this philosophy to better serve our customers.
Just a heads up... if you are going to advertise your business on your vehicle, make sure your drivers aren't driving like idiots, so unprofessional! All will know!
Response from Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control
Melanie: thank you for your feedback. We asked all of our techs if they remembered driving unprofessionally and no one could remember anything. But we still wish to apologize to you. We strive to give the very best service and that includes when we're driving to and from work.I'd sure appreciate it if you could please call our office and give us more details: 970-330-3929. Thank you.
