We reached out due to an ant problem that made their way into the house, and spiders. He did a thorough inspection around the house to find the problem. Easy to talk to and accommodate how much service we actually needed. Our ant and spider problem was quickly resolved. We appreciate the kindness and service we receive!

Dominic at First Select Pest Control is our go to exterminator. He is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Gets the job done!

I had a paper wasp nest growing on my balcony that I needed gone. Thanks to First Select, the wasp nest has been removed! I appreciated their flexibility and availablity without waiting forever. They offered a next day appointment (although I delayed an extra day due to not being home). The tech, Dominic, was absolutely professional and pleasure to be around. I didn't think I would have so much fun chatting with him and watching him do his thing with his bee suit on. He came on time, fully prepared, took care of it on the spot. Price was exactly as quoted. He also took great care to do clean up, which I didn't expect, but greatly appreciated. I told my tech I hope I don't NEED to call him again, but if I do, he will get a second call from me! 10/10 would recommend. If you have any doubts, pick this company. It'll be worth it!

I see that I gave them five stars 4 years ago (2022), but no write up. Dominic is super friendly and knowledgeable. We tried out two pest control services originally and let me say I regret not going all in with First Select. They have it all: quality customer service, pest control skills and knowledge, good communication and reasonable prices.

First Select Pest Control has serviced our home for the past three years. We have ants who come out during the summer months and in order to get rid of them we need professionals. Dominic and the First Select team schedule me quickly and show up to get the job done. They are professional, kind and the products they use work. I contacted this company to schedule a WDI inspection on behalf of a client, and the experience was extremely unprofessional. The receptionist was rude and abruptly told us to remove them from some “random list” without explanation. If this is how they conduct business, I would not recommend this company especially for services involving veterans or clients who deserve basic respect.

EDIT: Dominic rescheduled and made accommodations in order to service my unit. Specially. He was sincere and apologized for all misunderstandings. He also was quick to ask my pronouns and was always mindful and respectful. He even brought another recent hire to Shadow who was incredibly polite and friendly. Dominic was also mindful of my home space and the ways he moved through it. I would recommend his services to anyone facing pests or insects inside their home. Original Review: I live in a rented apartment in Oakland. Initially, my landlord reached out to First Select to hire services at which time he was asked specifically about the location and address. After confirming the location in Longfellow (near MacArthur Bart), he was told that would be fine and left my contact information in order to schedule with the service technician. First Select reached out to me and scheduled a initial technician visit later that day. Service technician Dominic called me later when he arrived and insisted to park in our driveway because he felt unsafe. Dominic continued by conflating homelessness with criminals and insisted that he could not park on the street because of his safety. Despite trying to make accommodations including offering to wait by his truck and making arrangements with my neighbor so he could park in the driveway, Dominic decided we were getting off on the wrong foot. Instead of trying to address his missteps, instead Dominic mistakenly misgendered me. After being politely but firmly corrected, he said he would make arrangements with my landlord instead since he was concerned over his safety and hung up on me. Dominic later scheduled a visit with my landlord, and then the next day cancelled that appointment. If Dominic is concerned about his safety around trans people and our unhoused neighbors, he shouldn't be doing business in Oakland.

Dominic was fantastic, as always. He continues to go above and beyond to help out and resolve any ant issues around my home.

Dominic is an absolute professional! I was referred to him for the great work he's done at my company. I reached out for some personal jobs I had at my houses, and his responsiveness was incredible. I was added to his schedule within a couple of days, and he showed up right on time. My house had an ant problem during the summer, and a flea problem during the fall. Both times he came... he completed the job within (20) minutes, and I haven't had a pest problem since. Dominic always checks back after to make sure the problems are handled. He always leaves the feeling of a personal touch, which is key for trust when you have anyone enter your home. I'll be requesting his services for any future jobs I have, and referring him to all my family!

I'd give six stars if I could. I had a mouse problem that I was hoping to get fixed asap. Dominic drove out to my place in the pouring rain and promptly patched up the area where the mice were getting in. On top of that, he was super friendly and easy to work with. I definitely recommend his services.
