Steve makes the best gopher and mole traps on the market. In my opinion, that’s an objective statement. It honestly bothers me to see negative reviews, because I have a hard time believing they’re based on real trapping experience. Whether those reviews come from competitors, bots, or DIYers who simply don’t understand trapping, they don’t reflect the quality of the product. Every trap I’ve used has been consistently excellent — built with high-quality materials, reliable construction, and, most importantly, brilliant engineering. You can tell these traps were designed with a real understanding of burrowing rodent behavior, which is exactly what makes them so effective. Beyond the quality, the success rate speaks for itself. When the traps are set properly, they are as close to 100% effective as anything I’ve ever used. That level of consistency is rare, and it’s exactly why I trust Steve’s traps over anything else on the market. -Mark Parrish Corner Pocket Gopher and Mole Control

Products are decent, support doesn't exist. I've spent hundreds of dollars on traps and tools with Trapline and they won't return my e mails about getting tips on using them!

Update 8/12/24 - one hour after setting my new scissor style trap I caught a mole. Trapline Cons: 1) This trap is unidirectional, meaning the trap will only kill a rodent in one direction. To kill a rodent in either direction you must plant a second trap in the opposing direction of the first. 2) There is no above ground visual indicator to alert you that the trap has gone off. You have to dig it up to check. 3) You have to dig up your yard to set this trap. 4) Safety, setting this trap requires your fingers to be very close to the jaws that pierce the rodent. IMO, the scissor style that you step on to arm addresses all the short falls of the Trapline trap. Also, the Trapline jack costs the same the scissor style trap. Scissor style pros: 1) Trap is bidirectional, meaning the trap will be triggered regardless of the direction the rodent is burrowing. 2) Scissor style trap gives you an above ground visual indicator that it has been triggered. 3) Scissor style trap pierces the soil so no need to dig up a big sod plug. 4) You activate the scissor style trap with your foot away from the potential pinching/piercing hazard.

Used these traps when worked on a market farm, now I use them in my backyard. Great traps, much better than anything ACE or Homedepot sells. Well made stainless steel won't rust, like some of the knockoffs which are made with galvanized steel (which will rust and then not close properly.) I'd buy some 1/16" steel cable (2'-3' per trap) & ferrules from ACE or HD and attach them to the traps and a wooden stake. Then sraypaint the stake a bright color so you can see it in the field.

These traps work very well. If you don’t catch a gopher w/ this trap it’s your method. Buying the traps is only the beginning tho. Hahahhaha

Gopher traps are very sensitive. I started a wildlife control service a few years ago. Trapline gopher traps do the job. Much cheaply then cinch and work just as well. I don’t have to dig out a massive hole to set them and they fit in gopher tunnels perfectly. I catch juvenile gophers in the trapline mole traps. Make sure you steak them to the ground because foxes and other critters will run off with the trap and gopher!

If you want to put an end to the gopher or mole infestation, this is your option. They make the traps here and the service is excellent.

I ordered a dozen mole traps which arrived in about 10 days (I’m in Canada). I considered that to be really impressive as it was spring time which I’m sure is a very busy time for pest control folks. They are the best quality and most clever (effective) design I have seen (and I’ve tried a few different traps). These will likely be the last traps I ever buy as they are indestructible and will last forever! Well done designing a truly better trap!

I own and operate a 4 man Gopher control company in Southern California. I utilize trapline traps solely. They are the most well made and quality trap made hands down.

UPDATE: My 1st oder with Steve went just fine and was hoping to repeat that with another order a year later. This time was totally different. I talked with Steve and told him what I wanted to order and gave him my card info. He said he would have my order out the following day. Ok great I thought. That's been a month and half ago. He never sent the order, I've called him, left voicemails, sent multiple emails and he has IGNORED all of them. Left me high and dry for whatever reason. I definitely wish I wouldn't have given him my card info now, definitely makes me uneasy knowing he has it when he obviously doesn't have good customer service and doesn't keep his word. And to think all I wanted was to spend a few hundred dollars with his company.

These are the most effective mole and gopher traps on the market today. I have over forty acres to maintain. This property used to have more craters than the face of the moon. Thanks to Trapline, it has been made virtually pest free.
