Darin Green arrived on time for my annual termite inspection and did his usual excellent service. Darin found 3 places of termite infestation (which I will schedule immediate treatment for). I've used American City Pest & Termite for over 20 years and can always rely on their professional team.

American City Pest Control is the best! Rick is super helpful and experienced, and overall lovely to work with. Even with an annoying pest problem, Rick was a bright light! Appreciate their help.

Worst ever! Nothing was solved. Unbaited black box traps. No closing of openings. Believe rats are diurnal!! Do not even know information about rodents! Unless you want to spend money rather than flushing it down the toilet use this company!

John Handa came out to inspect my home in Long Beach for termites, and I was very impressed with how thorough the inspection was. He checked both the attic and the area beneath the house, which gave me a lot of confidence that nothing was overlooked. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The pricing was also very fair. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would definitely recommend.

Darin performed our free termite inspection. He was very professional and friendly. Darin did a complete and thorough inspection, including up in the attic and under the house. (Compared to the inspector from another company the day before who did not look in the attic or under the house but recommended more expensive treatment.)

UPDATE: American City reached out to us and offered to treat the area on the balcony. When the exterminator came, he did confirm that on the last visit, he had been on the balcony and treated the framing but not the door, which was where the termite droppings were coming from. He did also indicate that this was an area he had treated because it was indicated on the inspection report. It seems there was some confusion in the office about what the inspection indicated and did not indicate and what was covered under the warranty. PRIOR: An inspector came out to our house in 12/2025 to inspect the entire property and give us an estimate for spot treatment for termites. We called American City due to us seeing visible termite droppings in a bathroom window seal. The inspector came and "inspected" the attic, the exterior of the house, the window seal that we pointed out, the upstairs balcony that we pointed out, and we thought other areas of the interior of the house. We received a report that had 2 areas indicates (the window area we had previously identified and an outdoor trellis; also an area indicating fungus/dryrot on our balcony). We received a spot treatment estimate and had the work completed, which included the trellis, the window, and the exterminator also went onto our balcony, so I assumed that he treated the balcony area. The company has a 1 year guarantee on treatment areas. Two months after treatment, we found termite droppings in a different window, so I emailed the company. The company responded that since the inspector (only 2 months prior) did not indicate that area being impacted by termites, it was not treated, and ONLY the treatment is guaranteed not the inspection. Since the inspector (who we thought thoroughly inspected the house) did not note that particular window, and it was not treated, we would need to have another inspection and pay for additional treatment. Now, approximately 2.5 months after treatment, we have signifiant termite droppings on our balcony area that was noted in the original inspection; however, labeled as dryrot/fungus vs termite damage. Again, when the exterminator came, he did go onto the balcony which leads us to believe that he interpreted the report to indicate that there was evidence of termites there too. I called the company and referenced the report and the issue on the balcony with the termite droppings, and the company says that even though the inspector noted this area on the report, and the exterminator went onto the balcony, that that area is not covered under the guarantee of work because it was indicated as "dryrot /fungus" and not termites. I am thinking that perhaps the inspector did not thoroughly inspect or did not know what he was looking for or how to properly notate it. Now, only 2.5 months after an inspection and extermination work being completed, we need to find another company to come out, inspect, and treat for termites.

Raul was fantastic—he came out to inspect for termites and quickly realized the issue was actually bugs from water buildup in the rocks outside. He went above and beyond by cleaning the area. Super kind, honest, and helpful. Highly recommend!

John Handa of American City Pest and Termite did a termite inspection for me today because we found some flying bugs that we thought were termites. John took one Look at one of the ones we kept, and told us immediately that it was not a termite, identifying the body parts as proof. John was very nice, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. He spent over an hour here doing a more thorough inspection of the house anyway, checking all the baseboards and wood all around the interior of the house and then an exterior. Inspection and finally up in the attic. And while he was up there, he even helped fix an attic light that was not working. What a nice guy.Thankfully, no termites at all. I would recommend American city, and John in particular, as well as our usual monthly service man, Sam.

Christian came on time and showed me the areas that needed treatment. He was very polite and friendly. I would use American Termite again if I have another pest control issue.

Thank you for returning to reinstall the gate at the fence. We were able to locate the antenna that was removed from the roof and the shutter that had fallen from the front window. Thank you for the quick work and excellent service. My only recommendation and it is not for the technician but the estimator is it would be helpful to know during the quote that we needed 2 days to notify so cal gas and the details about cutting back plants, securing the crawl space openings on the quote visit would help to plan prior to signing the authorization documents.
