My lawn improved with fewer weeds and thicker grass cover after several years of treatments. Unfortunately the past two summers with dry conditions and intense sunlight/high temperatures some of the gains have been lost. The treatment to control nutsedge appears to be working well.

I like that Lawn Doctor notifies you when they are coming and actually shows up, or reschedules via email. The weather this summer was extreme, wet spring and hot and very dry summer, but the weeds stayed under control.

Not able to offer a review as apparently this company no longer treats the Winchester, VA area even though they advertise the Northern Shenandoah Valley area. My husband called the 540 number on June 30th and July 1st leaving messages both times, but no response. I sent a message on your website on July 7th. I realize that was only 3 days ago, but a quick “we’ll get back to you” or any type of acknowledgement would suffice if you didn’t have time for a full reply. Added after response from owner: I am sorry that I didn't remember you giving us an estimate in the past (not sure how long ago that was). That was wrong on my part for not getting back to you. Today is 2 weeks since the original call. You're right, I should have waited longer to post my negative review, but I don't think of it as random, as my time is as valuable as yours. It definately was not an emergency, but it didn't occur to me that the Monday and Tuesday before the the 4th (Friday) was a holiday weekend, I appoligize. If a business is out for vacation, I assume there would be a message stating that on the voicemail and when someone would be back in the office.

Everyone mentions to me how green and lush my lawn is and I really enjoy how healthy it is. Also, after using lawn doctor for 10 years and trusting them so much I can just sit back and not even monitor anything. I just pay the bill. So easy for such a nice result.

Inappropriate customer service. Signing up to having the first spring application put down, all went well. The second spring application was over 8 weeks since the first. Considering the hot spring, summer and lack of rain, it would have been better to have applied this at week 6 instead of days after week 8. Temperatures were cooler at that time with average rainfall. After week 8 we were entering weeks of little rain to no rain at all. Forecast had almost no rain in sight. Applying it in these conditions can burn the yard. If it hasn’t rained in some time, It can also wash away when it does. Although my instincts told me to not have it put down, I trusted them and let them do it. This was after receiving an email stating they would be there the next day to treat the yard. No good results came of it during the hot summer, but had hoped the fertilizer would remain in the yard and activate once the weather improved. That did not happen. I simply emailed the servicing branch stating my concerns and had requested a refund. Instead of them responding with any understanding, I was met with a counter to each of my concerns. They refused to refund me and back their guarantee that they will. Supposedly you need to call within 2 weeks which I wasn’t aware of. Instead I waited 3 months for rain that was more than a light sprinkle. The representative at the branch made several rude remarks. Mainly because she did not respect an opinion of mine, and instead took it personal. After almost each if her counters, she would then ask a rhetorical question. It was obvious there would be no accountability or understanding on her part. This was one of those conversations where the other person is always right and will get the last word. It’s a poor representation of a small branch which is part of a much larger company. I can’t imagine the company themselves would treat anyone this way. I felt it went from an adult conversation something rather very immature. It would have been one thing to not refund me and offer to make it right with some additional services at no cost. Even if not, just a bit of understanding would have gone a long way. I wish I had looked at the reviews more before I paid in full. Had I known, I never would have paid in full. In addition to asking for a refund for the 2nd service, I’ve asked they cancel and refund the remaining services. I’ll be surprised if I get anything without filling a chargeback with the bank. Email conversations are best. The wording simply does not change. They also serve as a record for review. Providing this here is not appropriate, but providing to their corporate office is.

This lawn company is awesome. This is my second year using the Lawn Dr. and my grass has never looked this good. They are all about communication and pride themselves on superior work. I will us this company as long as I live in there service area.

The grass has never looked better and the comments from folks walking past the house are always the same, Wow, you must work hard for your lawn to look that good!! I usually confess that it is the work of Lawn Doctor, but not always!!

We have used Lawn Doctor for 3 years and they have been exceptional. They send an email prior to the day of service and then leave notice when service is complete. Our lawn has definitely improved with the service. Prior to their treatments our front lawn was spotty and full of weeds now it is filled in and few if any weeds. I would recommend them

Service done thoroughly with good results. No plants were damaged during the weed control and fertilizing process. Lawn definitely looks better than the neighbors. Very pleased. Also had aeration done with good results.
