Terrible experience. Left their drinks and food on my property. Damaged my property as well. One employee threatened to fight me. Had underaged children working the machines. Illegal in nys btw. 18 or older osha code. I would highly suggest you look elsewhere for a contractor who actually cares about you and your belongings.

First time I tried any kind of lawn care company.Last two years I've had bad problem with weeds.I had one treatment last fall and two this year and lawn looks 100% better.Have a few more treatments to go, but very happy so far.

My experience with Lawn Dr in Washingtonville, NY, was not only a complete waste of money—it directly put my family's health at risk. They showed up to spray pesticides during a downpour, which any professional knows renders the treatment completely useless. Either they were too lazy to reschedule or too eager to collect a check—either way, it's clear this is more about grabbing your money than doing the job right. Less than 48 hours after this sham of an application, my wife was bitten by a tick on our own property. We had no choice but to get her on antibiotics and run blood work to rule out Lyme disease. So much for peace of mind. When I called to voice my concerns, I was met with excuses, attitude, and zero accountability. No solution. No refund. No remorse. The person on the phone even had the audacity to boast about her “17 years of experience”—yet a simple Google search tells a very different story. The arrogance and defensiveness when they're clearly in the wrong is astounding. To make matters worse, they give you less than 24 hours' notice before coming back for a follow-up—leaving you no time to prepare your property, pets, or family. And guess what? They scheduled it during another forecasted rainstorm, fully aware it would be ineffective again. They promised to return and “make it right.” That was over a month ago—no call, no visit, no follow-up. Nothing but empty words and silence. If you're looking for actual pest control and not just someone to spray diluted chemicals in the rain and disappear with your money, look elsewhere. This wasn't just poor service—it was reckless, negligent, and flat-out dishonest. Absolutely disgraceful. Update to the owners response. Thank you for responding. However, I would like to keep this conversation out in the open so others can view it and see the outcome for themselves. Transparency matters—especially when it comes to services that affect family health, the environment, and our property. You mentioned you're unaware of the Google search I referenced. A quick search for “pesticide application during rain” will show countless sources—universities, agricultural extensions, and environmental agencies—all stating that applying pesticides during or right before rain is ineffective and often dangerous. On a sloped backyard like mine, even granular products can be washed down to the bottom, reducing effectiveness and potentially creating runoff issues. This is basic knowledge in the lawn care industry and should be taken seriously—not dismissed. I understand the weather has been a challenge lately. But that’s even more reason to exercise caution and professionalism. Rushing treatments just to stay on schedule—especially during rain—only benefits the company, not the customer. If your policy is to delay treatments when it’s raining, then that policy wasn’t followed in this case. The application occurred during a downpour, which I witnessed directly. That’s not just bad timing—it’s unacceptable. I appreciate your offer to continue this by email, but I believe others deserve to see how this is handled. I look forward to a public resolution that reflects real accountability, not just polite damage control. I included a photo of May rain focast to confirm what I said in my previous statement. So from the get go your company has been dishonest.

I’ve been using lawn doctor for 2 years now and our lawn looks awesome no more dandelions!! Their customer service is great and they work within your budget. I highly recommend.

Jason and his team do a great job. Jason is very honest and fair with his initial assessment of your lawn. It will take a few treatments, but your lawn will be beautiful. I also highly recommend the flea and tick treatment. I have not had one flea or tick on my dog. My children play in the yard all the time and I have not found one tick on them since starting the service for flea and tick control. I recently had a severe disease issue with my lawn and it died. Jason came out and assessed it. He recommended power seeding it in early September and it came back beautiful. I couldn't be happier. -Matt Brogan

This is our 4th year using Lawn Doctor of Orange County NY and we could not be more satisfied. We are constantly commenting in our home on how thick our lawn comes in now. Our neighbors are always asking why we do not have weeds or dandelions, and we tell them it is simply because of the care that Lawn Doctor provides. They are also great about calling or emailing in advance of coming so we can make sure that are dogs are not out wandering the yard when they arrive. I used Lawn Doctor for years, and was satisfied with their service and the results on my lawn. Then a National Lawn service offered me the same service, with a much lower cost. I decided to switch. I don't know what they did, but I know what they didn't do. My lawn went from a neighborhood show place to one of the worst lawns in the neighborhood. I called them and they came out to get rid of the weeds, but the weeds only got worse. My father always told me "All's not gold that glitters". I should have listened to that advice. I'm back with Lawn Doctor this year, and I can already see a huge improvement. My lawn now is back to it's former glory. Thank You Lawn Doctor.
