Yesterday I went into my backyard and started smelling what I could only assume with some sort of dead animal under my deck. I wasn’t sure where to go or who to call and somebody pointed me in the direction of gotcha. I reached out and the owner Michael could not have been more helpful! He managed to squeeze me in even with a long holiday weekend on the horizon. His tech angel came and removed the dead critter within 15 minutes! I can’t thank them and can’t recommend them more highly!

Within one hour of receiving my frantic phone call on a Sunday morning, Mike was at my home doing a full bed bug inspection. Thankfully, Mike found no sign of an infestation. Needless to say I was relieved. I offered to pay Mike for his time and he refused to take any form of compensation. He’s a real stand up guy. He is professional, knowledgeable, honest, fair, accommodating, and reassuring. Mike is truly a rare find. Do not hesitate to call him if you are in need of this type of service. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Michael and the company are the best. I was really traumatized when I brought bed bugs back from my classroom. Michael and Mike went beyond even though I did not have a severe infestation and got the problem resolved. Because I was so traumatized, I sometimes think that any summertime bites could be a reoccurance When I called Michael he has been so kind and assured me that it was not what I feared and said very normal to feel this way after the previous situation Micahael is the kindest man and has always made me feel that I was always welcome to call in the future. Michael has never suggested more services when he didn't think I needed. Unlike many other companies, Michael is not money grabbing and really ethical especially when a client is vulnerable. I can't fully express how professional and beyond caring this company is. It obviously starts at the the top.

Mike responded immediately and got rid of a hornet's nest by my front door! We have used him before and he's always professional and his costs are reasonable...plus he's a really nice man!!!

Called and Michael responded very quickly. We had a flea infestation somehow and they came and took care of it immediately. When he came back 2 nd time we had a wasp nest outside that he has now taken care of as well. Hopefully we won’t be needing his help anytime soon again but definitely very nice and very helpful. This morning I received a frantic call from my daughter who recently moved to NYC stating she just saw a bed bug crawl across her while lying in bed. Over the last month she had what she thought were hives and even after considering possible bedbugs and continuous mattress checks nothing was found so she chalked it up to a new laundry service/possible sensitivity to their detergent. I immediately went into mom mode and checked the internet for “best bed bug service in NYC” and Gotcha came up with glowing reviews. Because I am the skeptic that I am I called a few services prior to contacting Gotcha but because it was before 9am (a blessing in disguise!) I decided to trust my gut and thank God I did. Michael not only immediately picked up the phone he then took the time to explain what would need to be done prior to his arrival as well as aftercare. Oh, and the best part?! HE COULD BE THERE IN A FEW HOURS! Michael maintained constant communication either via text or phone before during and after the apartment was treated and then walked us through the next steps to keep the apartment free of these menacing creatures and give my daughter much needed peace of mind. I would never wish this on my worst enemy but if you happen to find yourself in this situation do not look any further than Gotcha - the reviews you see on here are 100% spot on and you will not be disappointed. The cost is extremely reasonable which includes a follow-up visit 10 days later and a warranty in case there are any additional issues going forward. I called yesterday in a panic. Because I couldn’t figure out what was eating me. Called several places and they said, dust mites, fleas etc. At my wits end I called Michael after reading reviews and he answered after 6 pm. He had no opening today for the dog testers but somehow made it happen. Today I had an inspection and treatment. I’ve called him about 6 times with questions and every single time he has answered or called shortly after with the patience of a saint. Thank you so much Michael and team. I see the light at the end of the tunnel now. There is hope! If you are reading the reviews and deciding wether or not to book…I’m telling you book his company. I’m sorry I didn’t call sooner.

Michael and his team (other Michael) were truly a godsend amidst one of the most stressful things I've had to go through as a resident of NYC (and we put up with A LOT). I can honestly say I could not have survived this bed bug situation without them. I cannot thank them enough. After dealing with incompetent and less than helpful exterminators my building management hired, I heard about GotchA! from some friends and decided to give them a call. I had contacted 3 other exterminator companies by then, and ultimately went with GotchA!, because they (1) weren't trying to get me to pay an insane amount of money for things I probably didn't need (I'm talking over $10,000+ to transport my stuff and fumigate it in some warehouse), (2) had a really good plan to work with my particular situation (I needed to move, which complicated things), (3) were great at explaining things in a calm way and genuinely cared about my well being! Both Michaels was SO kind and understanding and the conversations alleviated my anxiety instead of adding to it. They were so patient and provided incredible customer service. Plus they always answer the phone! (and I called a lot because I had 1000 questions!!!) If you're dealing with bed bugs, I'm terribly sorry, I know how horrible it is. But you're not alone!! Needed heat treatment for my belongings after moving from a typical NYC apartment to the suburbs as I did not want to bring any unwelcome visitors. Michael is very professional and was so flexible with the entire process even though I was running behind schedule all day. He also gave me advice some years ago at an old place. Highly recommend!

I am writing this review on behalf of my friend Jackie. I am so happy I chose this company! I was in such a panic when I thought I had bedbugs. They answered the phone right away and we’re so calm and professional. They send someone to my home right away. I felt comfortable with the overall inspection. The inspector was respectful as well as informative. I definitely recommend them.

Michael is extremely professional, patient and helpful. over the course of two weeks I was very concerned about the potential of bed bugs and Michael spoke with me over the phone several times to monitor the situation in hopes of not needing his services. After 2 weeks and still getting some bites, we decided to bring the dog and one of his associates and they're adorable dog cleared my apartment with no indication of bed bugs, thankfully. Michael is not a salesman and provides sound advice in a stressful situation. Should I ever run into another issue, I will not hesitate to go straight to Michael and his company. I highly recommend them. * Please note that I have had issues in the past, several years ago when I was in a different apartment and I used a different company and the service was far inferior.

Well what do you know, a landlords worst nightmare. Tennant decides to move in a roommate who brings what looked like infestation problem into a building we own. Mike the owner called me immediately and scheduled an assessment right away. Sure enough, unfortunately it was the dreaded bedbugs. No worries here. Mike took care of everything quickly and discreetly. He scheduled the first treatment right away, coordinating with the various tenants and setting clear expectations of what needed to be done in order to make the treatments as painful and effective as can be. For the two treatments and the follow up inspection to certify bed bug free, Gotcha guys were right on time and never missed an appointment. Mike was always there with his team . Pricing was straightforward and reasonable given the size our our building. Very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the work . Mike made the problem go away for good and with almost no stress on my part. You can not ask for a better guy or better team when this nightmare blindsides you.

I had a horrible experience with this company and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. I waited a long time to post this, as I wanted to see if they or their lawyer would be following up at all, but they haven't so here it goes. Last December/January I moved into an apartment in upper Manhattan. Before I got there, the previous tenant of my room hired Gotcha Bed Bug Inspectors to get rid of the bed bugs in the apartment. Gotcha Bed Bug Inspectors told her that the apartment was all clear so I moved in. Within a week of moving in, I was covered in bites. I went to the dermatologist, and he said they were definitely bed bug bites. My roommate called Gotcha Bed Bug Inspectors to come back. A Gotcha employee named Heather came back and told my roommate that she had to leave the apartment because of the fumes (but our cats could stay??) and so my roommate left. Upon returning home that night from work, I realized that my brand new Macbook and its power cord were gone. I called the police and filed a report. Nothing else in the apartment was stolen and there was no evidence of a break-in whatsoever. I was devastated. I called Michael the next morning and he said that absolutely not, Heather would never do anything like that, he couldn't believe it, etc. etc. He did not offer to look into this matter further or reimburse me for the stolen item or his services. Next thing I know, his lawyer is contacting me asking me to show him the receipt for my laptop and the account of what happened that day. I did so in a timely matter and never heard another word from him. I called him and he threatened to take me to court. I didn't want to go through an expensive court hearing, lawyers, etc so I didn't take them to court. It's been about a year since I've had any correspondence with them. In addition to this whole ordeal, their extermination was not at all effective. The next week I was still getting bitten! My roommate called the landlord. The landlord called his exterminator who came and finally got rid of the bugs. Also the landlord's exterminator told my roommate that she should never have to leave the apartment for an exterminator. I also told Michael that the bed bugs were not exterminated and he did not offer to reimburse my roommate for the services. I definitely didn't want them coming back into my home. I know it sounds silly because it's just a computer, but this was a truly traumatic experience. I work hard and paid for that laptop with my own hard-earned money. My roommate works hard and paid for the exterminators with her own hard-earned money. The whole situation was horrible and not at all dealt with properly, they just swept it under the (infested) rug and I never heard from them again. These are all true occurrences. Please do not let these people into your home.

Mike and his team are super helpful and supportive. They talk you through everything you need to know. My roommates and I were concerned that we had bed bugs in our apt. He had a K9 team out there that day to ease our concerns. The inspector was through, discreet, and helpful. We don't have bed bugs! I think there are a lot of companies out there who probably aren't as honest. If you are concerned about bed-bugs this is the company to call, they will take care of you. Mike is really dedicated to his customers, he called me the next day and said he was glad I'm clear, and if I needed anything don't hesitate to call. Thanks again to him and his team.
