They are my landlord exterminator and are cruel, horrifying ànd lie incessant There was a scintilla of honesty from the former manager Myslik and one of the former techs.Myslik told me in 2019 that there were structural problems with the building and that perhaps the landlord would assign a new apartment. I sent him pictures of straNge bugs and he appeared to have lost his job soon And a rare instance of kindness from Jessica who told me a decade ago that the only way she could treat my home was if I did not tell her coworkers. For over two decades, They have done me bodily harm by being so dishonest and corrupt and hiding a serious problem. The internet is full of accusations by former employees complaining of the toxic work environment and the many illegal acts committed by a father and son duo. They own many companies and are constantly buying more. They rotate managers and supervisors for management companies and have a successful business model to avoid responsibity and hide serious problems. Occasionally, one gets real truths cloaked in oblique language like " we are not horticulturalists." They took 7 years to rid mice but did it effectively when they decided to treat My personal favourite is when a Mathew of many Mathew fame ( most techs Introduce themselves as Mathew, the namesake of the owner) said " lady, you don't got nothing But it is good you sprinkle baking soda on the floors because then they can't breathe. Try spraying alcohol too"" They call bees and aphids cockroach They don't do monthly treatments and then lie that I don't let them in. They even lied in court I could complain forever about them I hope the city of New York will shut this business down before more people are harmed by them.

SHOULD HAVE MINUS 5 STARS AS I NEVER HAD THE SERVICE DONE I CANCELLED IT IN 5 MIN AND THEY STILL TOOK OUT MONEY...THEY DID THIS TO OTHERS BUT I WILL TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS AND COST THEM MORE IN LAYERS FEE

The worst company ever encountered. I had a great exterminator (small local business) who apparently sold out to these folks. Despite telling them I was not interested in the service as I wanted to shop around they came for over a year anyway and never billed me. Suddenly out of the blue, a bill for over a thousand dollars. We did not have a contract with them, was never billed yet now owe them thousands. Avoid at all costs.

Would never recommend this company to anyone. Fraudulently charged me almost $900 now and still not responding to refund me. They never show up when they’re supposed to and then randomly show up without calling (after requesting a call the day before or any type of notice about 20 times). We were customers of national pest who were amazing and this company bought them out and it’s been nothing short of a nightmare since then. I had to dispute both charges with chase due to their failure to respond. They don’t write anything down and basically just ignore you. Emailed them on 11/26 to say I was not renewing for next year and then on 12/1 they charge me over $400 for renewal. You literally cannot make it up. Stay away from this company.

I'm a tenant and my landlord pays for this service. Yet when I asked the exterminator for glue traps he gave me 4, I asked him for more and he said NO because "they're pretty expensive" ... wow!!!!... so I can only have one glue trap per room? Um I need more glue traps than 4, My apartment is infested with mice and rats 🐀.

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Robert Alarco from Select Exterminating for sending a crew and literally saving Father’s Day for us. I heard chirping in the attic on Saturday morning and I went up there to find two pigeons flapping around in front of my face. Rob sent us Youl, one of his best guys who was incredibly knowledgeable and very discreet. He caught one bird, set up humane traps for the other, and then went about finding the hole in the corner of our roof outside where the birds got in and patched it up. He then came back on Father’s Day and again today to follow up on the second bird which was trapped today and by now I imagine is halfway to Canada. Thank you for everything, Rob!

DON'T use this company!! They sprayed defective insecticide on my property last summer ostensibly to kill mosquitoes and ticks but instead killed and severely damaged many mature shrubs and trees on my property. Thousands of dollars of plantings that took years to grow. We are absolutely devastated

I hired this company to perform an emergency service for a tenant as our regular exterminator was unavailable for a week. When we agreed to the price, Eric Rivera had no doubt he could get the job done the same day, but after he took my credit card info, it was "he'll be there tomorrow morning." When the tech showed up, he didn't bring tools and said he would come on Monday; he called Monday at 6 p.m. to say he'd come on Tuesday morning. When I call Eric, he proceeds to curse and threaten me that I will never get my money back. I recorded the conversation and called the office three times to speak with the owner or manager, but no one ever bothered to call me. Not sure how these guys think they run this company like they are Goodfellows from the 80s, but I cancelled the service and disputed the charge from my credit card. Make sure you stay far away from this company. They promice everything until they have your credit card.

After being a customer for years, service has gone right down hill. I've had a standing appointment for years on a certain day and time, confirmed by phone messages and email, but after my usual technician left the company everything changed. For the past seven months technicians turned up at different days and times. I kept calling the company and was told they would straighten it out but it never happened. The final straw was when they charged me for a visit I never had. I was repeatedly promised a refund by the head of the company Rob Stevens but it was just words. I am a senior citizen and I don't like being taken advantage of. Beware!

My family and I discovered we had a rat infestation in our house on Maple Street. We were desperate to rid our home of the pests, so we called upon Select Exterminating. The agency responded promptly, sending their team of technicians led by a man named Robert Alarco. Robert’s team arrived at our home with an assortment of traps and poisons. They assured us that their methods were humane and that the pests would be dealt with swiftly. Trusting the agency’s reputation, we left Robert and his team to their work. However, Robert had a different approach in mind. Instead of using humane traps, he opted for the quickest and cheapest methods available. Rat poison was scattered indiscriminately around the house, and glue traps were placed in hidden corners, ensuring that no rat could escape their fate. Within days, our home became a scene of horror. We were horrified to find rats stuck to glue traps, suffering for hours before succumbing to their fate. The poison, too, wreaked havoc, causing the rats to die slowly and painfully. Our once cozy home was filled with the stench of decay and the sound of distressed animals. After a thorough cleaning and some renovations, we eventually restored our home. However, this incident has left a mark on my family, my wife, and my children. Never again.

I’m having a problem with what I believe to be bird mites so I called Select Exterminating praying for actual help. I paid $125.00 plus tax for an assessment that was supposed to go towards treating my problem after said assessment. I had a tech named Brian come the next day, he took a five minute look around, didn’t see any bird mites, then told me if I got rid of the bird nest that brought the mites I can’t still have them in my house weeks later (despite me hiring his company because I still very much do have them and many well reputable sites online stating bird mites can infest a home after getting rid of the birds nest.). So I basically spent over $130.00 to have someone not so plainly tell me I’m just imagining my problem (despite that I have visible bite marks). I almost never leave bad reviews online, but this was extremely disappointing, disparaging, and felt like a highway robbery when all I needed was actual help from an expert.
