We contracted with Kilauea Pest Control who sub-contracted the work to Pest Tech Hawaii. We prepped our house three separate times for tenting over three months, and the tenting was cancelled for high winds three times. On the fourth attempt the tenting and treatment was finally done. However, they broke a number of tiles, damaged our copper gutters when they leant the ladders against them, and damaged the stucco on the support posts when they tied rope around the posts. When I submitted photos of the damage, they said because I signed a waiver, they were not responsible for any of the damage.

They work with pest tech.DO NOT GO WITH THEM IF YOU DNT WANT TO GET SCAMED! I fumigated my house in February 2023. On the day of fumigation the ten blew off around 1 AM. I have three neighbor witnessing it. My next-door neighbor reported that there were gas going into their house. She reported the problem to pest tech. They came back around 4 AM but didn’t have enough people to put the tent back on. They finally got someone to come down and the tent was put back on at 5 AM. They completely remove the tent at 8 AM in the morning. My house was supposed to be covered for a 24 hour for the fumigation. It hasn’t been a year yet and I still have termite in my house, and they will not be fumigate my house. They said that there wasn’t enough proof when I provided them with pictures and videos, and two termites in a bottle.

This is the third time I’ve tried calling for same day pest service as the advertise but they are unable to accommodate even after calling at 8:30am on a Monday and they can’t get out til Wednesday. They guarantee same day if you call before noon but they don’t stand by what they offer. They charge extra for rat traps, they won’t remove a dead rat under the house and they wouldn’t treat a pest that spends more time walking around in cabinets because it occasionally flies. Excuses after excuses. Will not renew service contract.

They at Kilauea Pest Control are without hearts as that's just one sign of poor quality within No Hearts, no understanding and without any compassion except for themselves? When a golden retriever that I love more than anything else in this world gets sick and is possibly going over that Rainbow bridge, all that's focused on is their financial gains as I don't like doing of negative thoughts about any business or for that matter anyone but this is completely reasonable to say about this termites exterminating business as they're like those termites that needs to be exterminated as well! Ain't that the truth..❓

Honestly, I have not really had any huge issues with past services other than wishing they were a bit more thorough. My big complaint is that they are SO difficult to get a hold of! If you're not going to answer your phones, at least respond to your voicemails in a timely manner. Insane to wait over 3 days just to SCHEDULE the service after discovering that termites are eating away at the inside of my home. Very misleading to advertise "same day pest control"...I guess that only applies to anyone lucky enough to have their call answered or returned? I would certainly find another pest control company if I didn't have already have a plan with this one.

I gave NO credit to this company because the inspector, Robert's terrible behavior. Pls don't trust the start rating because it will lead you to the wrong direction. We hired this company to work termite inspection on my house because of the 5 starts rating but we are totally disappointed. After the termite inspection, my realtor contacted Robert about the alive termite concern. Robert insisted there is no alive termite at all and only ground treatment needed to be done. We thought he is professional on this and so we believed whatever he said. Moving forward Kilauea got ground treatment done. Until my wall contractor and me found out the fresh termite dropping and alive termites on the lower level. On 11/03, Robert came to my house again but not on the scheduled time, and luckily I was there with the contractor. He talked all over me and very loud with attitude and argued with me all the way. He said, "no one is perfect and people making mistake. It is state requirement to have termites inspection. but it is not guaranteed we can find the termite..." He just walked away without any apology regardless I was there still talking to him. I went after him and tried to find out what we can do about the alive termite. He cursed in the car and didn't even get out of the car when I asked him question. He was unprofessional and unknowable to his business and disrespectful to the homeowner, ME. I contacted the GM from Kilauea, but she responded there is no guarantee for their inspector can find termite. If that is the case, what is the point to hire a professional termite inspector. If we all can see the visually visible dropping, we can inspect the house on our own. I am very disappointed with Kilauea because the way their employee, Robert's terrible behavior and dissatisfied with the response from their GM. I start thinking the 5 start rating is inaccurate. I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN EVER!

We signed on for a year with this company recently but wasn't very pleased by the service we got. We ended up paying the $100 cancellation fee to cancel the contract after 1 service. We told the tech we had a major rat problem and their solution was to put up plastic snap traps next to our 4 snap traps and 2 electric ones. Needless to say the issue wasn't eradicated nor was it discussed who would service these new snap traps. We also had a large ant problem in the spare unit and when I called to have them come back and spray the unit because the first spray didn't seem to put a dent in them they said it was going to be an extra $35 charge. I asked if we could just spray that unit (which is only 300 sq ft) instead of the main house that time but they wouldn't do it. I read back through the contract carefully and it does say there's a $35 charge for spare units but I feel like I should have been told this when I explained our property to the sales person who sent me the contract. It's my fault for not thoroughly reading the contract but I just figured it said what we discussed on the phone which was $95/bi-monthly. When the extra fee was brought up I felt like I was being nickel and dimed since I wasn't charged for it the first time. I called around to 4 other pest control companies and ended up going with another one in the area who's bi-monthly fee is cheaper and they don't charge an extra fee for spare units. Just know you have options in the area.

Spoke with Haoli the receptionist twice, got all the info I needed to set up bimonthly service, arranged for date and time for Kyle to come to the house. No show. No call. I called about two weeks later to follow up....left a message on the machine to call me to reschedule. Never received a call. Guess I won't be using their services!
