I can say unequivocally that dealing with Scott Burford and his business has been nothing short of pleasurable and professional. I recently changed my lawn and household pest control services to Burford Bros. at the recommendation of a neighbor whose lawn I admired. I had been using a larger, non-local firm and had issues with dollar weed and other weeds taking over my lawn. After just their first bimonthly visit, I'm already seeing the dollar weed shriveling and brown patches shrinking.

These guys were a BIG zero for us. We had new St Augustine installed in our front yard. The installer recommended spraying or fungus because it had been a problem in 2024. I called these guys and asked for them to just spray once for fungus and the guy said "yes." Then I called again and the fellow said his wife was sick and asked if I could give him some time. I said of course your wife takes priority. He finally got back to me over a month later, and tried to sell me a package. I didn't want that, just the one spray. Then he said I really didn't need it, so I let it go. Now my $3k fom lawn is 2/3 gone from fungus and We're screwed. Thanks you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Brown, we remember your property in Newberry well, and are saddened to read your review. We do understand your frustration, wish we could have done better to help you, and feel for you that you lost your expensive lawn. But there was certainly a misunderstanding. You did, in fact, ask us for a fungicide application. When we got there, it was the middle of summer, it was HOT outside, and the lawn was bone dry and full of chinch bugs. The last thing you needed was fungicide. <br><br>We did our best to help you understand that insects were wiping out your lawn, but you seemed stuck on the idea of applying fungicide. We take pride in our honest and trustworthy approach and would never sell someone something they do not need. We could have sold you an expensive fungicide application, but your lawn would have continued to rapidly deteriorate. The maintenance proposal we sent was only to show you what it would take to protect your lawn's health long-term.<br><br>We truly hope that if you ever decide to install a new lawn that you get a company that can better suit your needs. We thank you for your review nonetheless.

Austin was very thorough and conscientious. Before applying treatments, he examined the entire lawn for any signs of pests & weeds and acknowledged introduced himself when he saw me and also inquired about the general status of the lawn.

We started working with Burford Bros when we moved into a new home in summer 2023. As with many new summertime builds, we had some issues with ant intrusion early on. Scott moved up our first treatment to make sure we would stop seeing issues quickly, and from then on we haven't had recurrences. They have been a very easy company to work with, very communicative and responsive. I would readily recommend them to anyone.
