Great service. This year has been bad with ants and black widows. Moat was able to schedule me for service the same week! They showed up when they said they would! They removed webs all around the house. Great service at a great price!

Jason came out and inspected our home. His knowledge and professionalism was completely excellent. We were never rushed and spent time answering all our questions. The crew came out and tented our home and, they too were professional and efficient throughout the process. Termites are gone and we couldn't be thrilled. My house was passed down to me from my great grandaddy may he rest in peace. Everything and I mean everything is made out of wood in this sucker. When I found wood shavings on the floor I thought termites were going to take everything that my great grandaddy worked so hard for. Thank God for Moat, he came in here and killed all those little wood eating sumbitches before they ruined the house. Anyone with a termite problem needs to go to Moat ASAP!! I highly recommend Jason Moat and his company Moat Termite & Pest Control. I first met Jason when my realtor recommended his company to do the termite inspection for a new home I was buying for my family. My realtor is one of the top producers in all of North County San Diego so I trusted her recommendation. Jason did a very detailed inspection of the home. He examined every nook and cranny ... even the tightest crawl spaces and attic spaces. He discovered every issue and then he rectified every issue. I was so impressed that I hired him to maintain my house on a monthly basis to be pest free ( termite free, ant free, rodent free, fungus free, etc, etc..). Once a month Jason always shows up on time and on schedule. I own a very large home on a very large property and Jason keeps it free of all pests 100% of the time. He is very thoughtful and careful about how he applies chemicals and traps/bait stations. He makes sure that my family is very safe from any possible exposure issues. Jason is also an incredibly friendly, caring, and genuine person. He always has a happy, positive and welcoming attitude. I am sure anyone who hires him will be a happy with him as we are. A+++. I am updating this review in 2026. I have been using MOAT termite and pest control for the past seven years Jason Moat and his brother Brandon are truly outstanding as professionals and people. Fumigation went great. Only downside one of my security cameras was broken and the guys didn’t tell me. They had disconnected my cameras for me and put them all back on except one. I figured they forgot when I finally had someone connected them we realized it was broken and that’s why it didn’t stay up. I recommend have cameras taken down completely for those who have cameras around your home.

So glad I went with this company. 👍 Jason was our inspector and he was top-notch—super professional and friendly. He arrived right on time and was respectful of our property (which I really appreciated). He took his time doing a thorough check inside and out. 🐜 It’s hard to find good service these days, so I highly recommend them! 😊

UPDATE 7/11/25: I called Moat for a different property. Brandon went above and beyond professional. He thoroughly cleaned out all the spiderwebs in the ceiling and walls of my patio prior to spraying the perimeter of my house. He took his time and it shows! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I dealt with two other pest control services in Hemet before I called Moat. The contrast was remarkable. I will call them Company X and Company XX. Company X charged me $50 to spray around my mobile home. They set no bait stations or rat traps. When I repeatedly phoned them to come back to set bait stations, they repeatedly told me that my account wasn’t in their “system.” (Whatever that means!) Eventually, they simply stopped returning my call. Company XX, answered my one and only call to them. Their phone person affected a little-girl voice. She could answer none of my questions and eventually, inexplicably, put me on hold… After several minutes of waiting for I knew not what, I hung up. That is when I phoned Moat. Boy, am I glad I did. What a difference! Totally professional. The Moat man showed up on time. He answered all my questions, explaining what he was going to do before he did it. He sprayed and strategically placed (in the shade) 4 bait stations. Moat’s bait stations are weighed so they can’t be blown or dragged away. I was impressed. And the Moat man even had the mannerisms of an undertaker! You could tell he was way into his job. But then he asked me if I had noticed any insect issues on the inside of my mobile. I told him I had only moved in two weeks ago and had already killed a couple dozen slow-flying bugs that appeared out of nowhere in my kitchen during the night. He asked me how long they were. I told him about a half an inch long. He said it sounds like termite swarms. ‘Tis the season for them to fly. They’re attracted to light at night. And the only way to kill ‘em all was to tent my place, which would cost about $1600. I was depressed. A mobile home just up the street from me had been tented the week before. So I figured termites were on the move and I was next on their menu. But that’s when this Moat specialist asked me a critical question: Did I have any of the carcasses of those bugs I killed? I hadn’t thrown out my kitchen trash yet, and located one of those squashed bugs in a napkin. Moat man whipped out a high-intensity flashlight and examined the squashed blob for about 15 seconds before announcing his postmortem’s verdict: “It’s an ant.” ‘Tis also the season for ants to swarm. Boy, was I relieved. I felt that his expertise just save me $1600. And I signed up right then and there for Moat’s bi-monthly pest control services for far into the future. Brandon is amazing! He has been doing my inspections for years and we have always been so satisfied with his service. He shows up on time and is reliable and is very thorough and clear on his findings.

Moat Pest control was awesome to work with from the first phone call to schedule the appointment to treating my house for insects. Brandon arrived on time and was very professional, explained all about their services and what to expect after the treatment. The day after Brandon sprayed I saw lots of dead spiders and crickets so the service is already working!
