11/6/2024 - CLOSED! Store is empty, no notice on door about a new address.

Ordered 550 sq ft of sun and shade sod.. Delivered by mid day on a Friday.. Had it laid down the next morning and this is what I found out that I recieved.. Went to talk to the guys at Nevada County Farm and Garden who promply told me that it was the installers fault and that sod had to be installed the day of delivery and the delay caused a fungus to cause the dead sod.. Not once was I given this warning and I can hardly believe that an overnight delay would cause some of the sod issues you can plainly see. Seems strange in that both the green and dead sod were delivered on the same pallet.. Basically I was told that this was caused by my installer and I should take it up with him.. I admit I got a little heated at the their total "tough luck" response.. They after all were only the "broker". Beware..

I have been using Nevada County Farm and Garden for my hydroseed supplies and questions for years now. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Always having answers to my questions, whether I am hydroseeding a lawn, pasture, or doing erosion control. If they don't know they own it and take the time to figure it out with me. Their quality of seed and selection is unmatched in the county as well as their recommendations following soil tests. I cant recommend them enough.

The only place worth going in Nevada County for your farm and garden needs. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and always available to help. I have been a customer for many years now and will be for many to come. If you want to get your outside spaces dialed in these are the people you want in your corner.
