I signed up with Bama Exterminator for a full year of quarterly pest control service, expecting them to come out four times as agreed. Unfortunately, they only showed up twice over the entire year — both times to spray outside only. There was no consistent scheduling, no follow-up, and no proactive communication on their part. I feel like I paid for a full service and received only half of what was promised. Disappointing experience overall — I would not recommend based on lack of reliability and follow-through.

We strive to provide consistent and high-quality service, and we regret that your experience did not reflect that. <br>Upon reviewing your account, it appears that we did make multiple attempts (calls, emails and texts) to notify you of a past due balance in November and again in June, which is what prevented us from scheduling your services on a regular quarterly basis.<br>Our outside service creates a protective barrier around your home to prevent anything from coming inside, and the inside of your home is warrantied so we will come back out at no cost to treat the inside as necessary. This is our most common and most affordable plan, and keeps the need to be home during the treatment and disruption to your daily life at a minimum. We also do not believe in putting product out inside a home when it is not necessary, which is what most of our customers prefer. But our work is always backed by the warranty if there are any issues. <br>Our goal is always to be clear in communication, and we apologize that that was not your experience. Only reason they even get a star is because I can’t give zero. Cancelled randomly, said they provided service yet my gates are locked. I was home on multiple dates service was “supposedly” completed yet saw no technician. I spoke with manager about this multiple times at which he claimed they show in their system to have stopped. I asked if they have “service completed” tags and requested they leave a tag saying they actually were here. Which never happened. This continued for multiple months at which I requested to cancel my service(I use this term loosely). They continued to force schedule appointments even though I requested cancellation of services. I go multiple calls while I was sleeping about scheduled service after I cancelled. Then they continued to charge me even after cancellation. I was told they would reach out to me which never happened. The worst of the worst

Our technicians did service your backyard during your contract period, and we have GPS on our vehicles as well as timestamped photos including several taken in your backyard of the empty pool which you confirmed with us was at your home in your backyard. <br>Our team also knocked at the door each visit, and on multiple occasions spoke with a family member present. We typically do not leave a door hanger at a home if someone is home and we are able to speak with them. We made several attempts to connect with you personally during regular business hours, but understand that your night shift schedule made timing difficult. We also went out to your home in person in hopes of resolving the issue face-to-face and spoke with your father. <br>We apologize for any frustration this caused and truly tried to work with you throughout the process.<br>Customer service is very important to us, and we regret that we weren’t able to meet your expectations. We were suppose to have a termite appointment but were not notified that they changed the time from morning to afternoon. Called after half an hour of scheduled time for them to say they called us at after 5:30 the night before, but didn’t leave a voicemail or try to call again the morning of our appointment. This is not the first issue we have had. Recently, for one of our pest control service appointments, no one showed up. I called an hour after our appointment to check in, and they told us the person was sick. Were we notified that no one was coming? No. She proceeded to ask if I would still like the service I paid for that month. Highly disappointed that this is a constant issue in their office. We are discontinuing their service at our household. Pest control services are great, but we don’t want to rely on an unreliable business. *editing to add that they sent a supervisor today to do the terminate annual inspection, and he laughed and said he heard “how unlucky” we’ve had their services. A supervisor should not claim we are just unlucky because of their failure to communicate or show up to services scheduled a month out in advance.

I’ve been using Bama Exterminating for four months. At first it seemed professional and friendly but there was a quick lapse in communication and professionalism. From face to face conversations with their technicians to requesting information from their dispatchers is completely misconstrued. I simply asked for a detailed invoice of work that is done on my house because they only come at times we are not home and the ability to do so is nonexistent. I do not recommend and will seek other services in the future.

We did just switch to a new account management software, so there has been learning curve with sending our completed work orders and invoices, but still we apologize you were unable to receive the reports you requested. Our system is set up to automatically send out invoices and completed work orders with details about the service completed and products used to the email address we have for you on file. We do also have notification text messages that go out to remind you when our technician will be there for the service. We had a technician at your home 6 times during the 4 months to check the traps and replenish the bait, as well as treat for insects and remove spider webs. We are so sorry that your experience with our company was not a positive one - we truly do try to take care of all of our customers' pest problems while also providing you with open and honest communication about the process. We appreciate the feedback and will certainly use it to train our staff and work out our processes with our new system. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We have been using Bama Exterminating for about a year. We pay monthly for someone to do outside maintenance. We have had about 4 different exterminators in the past year. Some great, some not so great. I had previously set up Fridays. That is the only time someone is home to put up our dogs. They sent a text that they were coming Monday. I called thinking it was a mistake and talked to a rude guy on the phone. He must be new and needs customer service skills. Not the same sweet girl that I have talked to in the past. He refused to change the day stating it would be another month. I just told him to cancel the whole service. He didn’t care in the least. I requested a manager to call and discuss. No one called. I was very disappointed how they handled this.

I’ve been a customer for over 15 years. I was very pleased with this company for a long time and even got several of my relatives in the Ralph area using Bama for their pest control. I’ve had two instances now where the technician came out to my property but did not complete the service. The last time was Monday, December 18. The tech arrived and knocked on the door. It took me about a minute and a half to get to the door. I opened the door and greeted him and he was already getting back into the vehicle. Did not even spend two full minutes on my property. I called the office immediately and requested that my contract be canceled. I was told that someone would contact me. After no response I called back again Tuesday and asked for confirmation that my contract had been canceled. I was told the same, that the person capable of doing this for me had been emailed. I’ve still not heard anything back from Bama. I did receive an email for an invoice of $87.00 for service I already paid for and did not receive. Very disappointed. For many years I would have said that there aren’t many companies one can say truly value their customers, but Bama Exterminating is one. I no longer feel this way and will now have a delinquent bill on my account plus any other fees they decide to charge. It will harm my credit and they do not care. I will never recommend this company to anyone again.

We are local and family owned and operated and always have been, and we do deeply value our customers and connection to the community. We understand your frustration regarding the incomplete service visits and the lack of communication thereafter. This is not the level of service we strive to provide. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused you. We do take cancellations very seriously and they do sometimes take us some time to review the account information and gather everything we need from our technicians and admin staff to fully understand the situation, but we definitely do expect and require faster communication than what you received. We will use this experience as a training opportunity for our staff to improve in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again we sincerely apologize.

I’m happy other people have had such a great experience with this company because mine has been an absolute nightmare. They have overcharged my card and couldn’t explain why, they have missed the last month of my service, changed my services without my knowledge, and apparently calling when they arrive as they have since day 1 because I do have large dogs and that should be notated on my account they decided to just pull in look at my dogs say they looked unfriendly and leave without a phone call or follow up call! I’m being rude because I’m raising my voice and upset because I have been paying for a service that I have to constantly call and get details straightened out for! Not to mention the supervisor told me they fired a woman named Alicia because she wasn’t doing her job! Then I’m told that I have to pay a cancellation fee on my contract when they are the ones breaking it!!!

In the process of selling my home I hired them to treat wood decaying fungus, debris removal, and install a moisture barrier. Did not complete the job the first time and only installed a partial moisture barrier found in an inspection and still had signs of fungus. Now fast-forward a couple months and still have fungus.

We signed up for quarterly pest control because the house already had an existing termite contract with them. After the first spray, we kept getting earwigs (like 1 a day) inside the house (half of the time they were very much alive). We called and they sprayed again. It didn't stop the earwigs. Second spraying comes around and same thing- earwigs inside every day. This time when we contacted them (2 weeks ago), they ignored us. They also didn't call when they came to spray the second time so if hadn't been home, he wouldn't have been able to get inside or in the backyard. We signed a year contract and I'm not sure what it would take to get out of that. But signing a contract should have been a signal they were bad. Good results don't require a contract to keep people stuck. Be aware of the contact too- it only covers a very limited amount of pests.
