S and B Apiaries LLC

After retiring, I decided to try hobby beekeeping at our Verbena property near Clanton. I called S&B Apiary in Millbrook and spoke with Stacy to gather some information. She invited me to the store and we talked about the cardinal rules what to do and what not to do and what to expect. I also sampled their delicious honey products. Next, I decided to purchase 2 nucs and give it a shot. That was April , today they have drawn out comb on 3 boxes of frames and working on the fourth box. I have honey, but I’m letting the bees keep it all for overwintering while I gain experience of their needs. I registered my hives with Alabama State Agriculture & Industries commission for $6. They were nice and I had a State inspector come out and walk me through my first varroa wash procedure. He said my hives were well below treatment thresholds for varroa and hive beetles. They have multiplied in great numbers and have good stores readying for the off season/ winter. My queens have good laying patterns and only use minimal protection veil/hat , nitrile gloves, long sleeves/jeans as they are quite docile unless I accidentally drop a frame on the ground. I’ve been keeping bees for 5 months now and gaining confidence. I’m planning to purchase 2 more nucs next spring as I gain experience. I highly recommend S&B Apiary.

I was never a Honey fan until I tried S & B Creamed Lemon Honey. It is so delicious in my tea. My husband likes the Cinnamon Honey in his coffee. We tried the Creamed Jalapeño Honey today and can’t wait to make cornbread and chicken wings with it. So thrilled to have this delicious local Honey from S&B Apiaries!!!

I have used honey based lotions for a while. I have fibromyalgia, among other issues. After straining my knee, I couldn’t get relief from the pain. Norco, muscle relaxers, nothing helped. Then I took their muscle rub and used it. Finally, relief! It made me a believer. Then today, after dealing with chronic migraines, and having one today, she has me try her headache cream. Headache, gone! I love their products and highly recommend that you give them a try!

I'm a project manager for several properties and one of my clients claimed to have bees. I called Stacey and she was at the property the next morning at 9am, as agreed. We came across their stand at a parade. My husband and I ended up getting some creamed honey and some other honey products. It is so good!!! My favorite is the creamed blueberry honey. We will definitely be going to them for some more honey. This is some of the best honey I've come across, hands down.

I love their products! Wonderful honey with so many flavors, and I love the hand cream. My son swears by the beard balm! He says it’s the best! Highly recommend!
